Manchester Christmas Markets 2023 - 4K walk - Slow Scenes UK

Let's go on a walking tour of the Manchester Christmas Markets! The Christmas Markets have been an annual Manchester tradition since the 1990s and like most other Christmas markets are based on the traditional German Christkindlmarkt or Weihnachtsmarkt. Stalls were spread out all across the city centre ranging from handmade gifts to food and drink stalls. German-style Christmas markets have been around in the UK since 1982, with the first being in Lincoln, followed by Birmingham's Frankfurt Market in 1997. Over the past decade the popularity of these markets has increased dramatically, attracting millions of visitors. This video was recorded on Black Friday, hence the larger crowds!
