EX-I-STEN-TIAL. Not EX-STI-TEN-TIAL. god I can't stop cringing watching a 30 something year old man pronounce words wrong over and over how come no one around you has told you?
The story of the death jester waiting for his target to get inside the bunker before hitting them is oddly both scary and hilarious to me. Really sums up the twisted sense of humour that the harlequins, particularly the jester, have. And reminder, those toxins are powerful enough to even effect Custodes. Can't wait for a part two of this. More harlequins! Maybe the solitaire or the shadowseer.
@@HorrorCoffee I've said this before, and I will say it again. "Calling an eversor an "assassin" is like calling a thermonuclear ballistic missile a "hand grenade""

I have read the lore but what to you is so disturbing? For me personally the perpetual agony of disease with the attitude of blessing others with it is terrifying.
@@ShatteredAutomaton I think the scariest thing about the hell fly was that it would seek out the person who killed it last when it was a beast of nurgle. Believe i saw this on the plague drone video from total war which is a brilliant watch.

As a Necron player, I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds Scarabs "cute". It's why I love sending them to greet my enemies on the battlefield. After all, nothing says 'no hard feelings' like a free pet. (Unhinged mechanical laughter)
I love that your doing these sorts of videos, I'm currently hosting a 40k Inspired Dnd Campaign with some friends and they've been asking me to go deeper into the grimdark so this stuff gives me alot of inspiration, thank you very much for making such awesome videos
I think the tyranid living ammunition is pretty terrifying. Fleshborer beetles and devourers to the needle like projectiles that can guide themselves into a target after the shot.
One of the most disturbing things I've heard about the Tyranides is the fate of the Genestealers Cults members. Apparently, I'm not sure if it's true, when they've won thanks to the disturbances of a Cult, and that all the members of the Cult are jumping into the digestive pool to be converted into biomass, the Hive Mind cut their link to the fleet at the last second, meaning that every member of the Cult stop believing whatever they thought was gonna happen when the Tyranids came and enjoy, for the las moment of their existence, the thought of having betrayed their race and all of humanity, and to have sacrificed themselves, just to be devoured by an insatiable predator... It's not as horrifying as the torture machines of the Drukharis in term of pain, but it's just the intent of the Hive Mind to show every member of the Genestealers Cults what they've really done that I find disturbing ^^'
I love these videos and the death jesters are one of the coolest looking units in the 40k setting. Thank you for covering them and I hope you have a nice day 👍
Okay, the clown servitor, man… just oooof! I remember reading that passage and thinking about my own childhood toys and stuffed animals. Like… if I had a servitor that was a toy, I would never be so cruel to it as an adult. Like, I have a stuffed cat named Chester that, at 41, I still have in my bedroom. My dad would use to play this game with me called, “Chester wants to fly!” And he’d chuck him across the couch while I’d laugh and try to “save” him. I even found a picture recently from when I was probably eight or nine on a trip to my friend’s family’s cabin in the mountains of my state. My friend, me, our sisters are all watching Brigadoon, of all things, because I remember that’s really all they had in the tiny gas station/ assortment of maybe fifty of them weirdest selection of VHS tapes. But as we’re watching “go home with Bonnie Jean” Chester is sitting upright beside me. If Chester was a semi-living entity, I would probably have been even more attached to him, remembering our games and fun we had all those years ago. If Chester expressed that he was in pain and lonely, I wouldn’t brush him off. Maybe I’m just super sentimental, but that stuck out to me, and made me really dislike the character who had grown up with the clown servitor.
Being a newcomer to something like Warhammer, in this current time, is pretty awesome. There's plenty of excellent content, such as from this man, and it seems like you will never know everything about the universe. I'm having fun just learning about it, so I can only imagine building the models and playing the game.
The Culexus Assassins are null Imperial Psyker assassins have a battle-helm called the Animus Speculum that have the ability to use a psyker’s powers against them, basically conveying it into a beam of negative psychic energy, disintegrating the psyker’s the more they struggled and even completely destroyed their soul with that energy, and the excess psychic energy even made them stronger. Essentially making them the Eldar’s Grim Reaper. Even more terrifying was the fact they had a Synskin armor called the Etherium, that could shift them out of reality, even shielding there is literally no where to hide, definitely one of the darkest if you’re a psyker anything or just a target honestly.
Any admech units would fit right in in this series. Here's some things I think would go well: Orks: Deffdreads and Killa Kans, Shokk Attack gun, Kommandos Tyranids: Sky slasher swarms, mawlocs, ymgarl genestealers, lictors, deathleaper, paraiste of mortrex Dark Eldar: Wracks, Grotesques, hellions, reavers, cronos engine tau: kroot
The first unit I ever got for 40k was a Death Jester. I love the skull helmet and the way the act. The fact that they embody the concept of death rather than any Aeldari god is fascinating to me. In my head Cannon. I'd like to think there's a random rogue trader out there that's managed to capture a scarab. And has basically turned it into an STC

Awsome video as always! I'm interested in stories about xenos vs xenos. Like tyranids vs chaos, orcs vs necrons and so on. Would love to see a video about it😃
Sigh, I do love me some Harlequins. Still have a handful of the metal minis that I should strip and repaint. Wonder what they are worth on ebay. Can't remember if it had any game impacting mechanic beyond just shot go screeeeee. Also the melee weapon that shoots a monofilament that is set to puree into the target.
