I'm glad these kids get to go to camp but why not include all needy kids the same opportunity or at least be honest enough to convey where and to whom your donation will go.
Really cool! Had multiple good experiences with donating cars to Kars 4 Kids. They were very pleasant to work with, and my research found that they do good stuff with the money.
i'm using this video as a "refresher course", even though i don't need it. it's just something i like to do. it never hurts to listen to guys who are currently working as detailers. i almost always learn something new, or something that i've forgotten over the years. my 97 prelude has been sitting in the driveway for about 3 1/2 years. i don't have any mold, or mildew issues. so that's good. but the car is very dirty! which shouldn't come asd a surprise. it's mostly dusty from my driveway which i share with several other apartments. my goal today is to get the exterior somewhat clean, so that i can drive it to walmart. taking the long way around to get the battery charged. while it was parked, the altenator and battery had to be replaced. one of the projects i'm going to have to address is some paint correction on the front bumper/spoiler. about 7 years ago, i added front and rear spoilers. and i painted roughly 1/5 to 1/4 of the car with rattle cans. i used rustoleum clear. now before anyone has a fit. i took my time and did it right. sadly, i didn't learn until afterwards that i could've gotten a 2 pack clear in rattle can. so i might do that this time. but i don't want to spend alot of monety on it, because i'm planning on selling it. asking 3500$ it's in very good condition, inside and out. well that is except for the dirt, and the lifting clear coat....lol
One of the things why I like these guys is they try to fix and restore correctly. I have watch other so called channels and they just buff the crap out of a car so it looks pretty to just sell it.
Hi Larry. As someone who was a former aircraft mechanic I dealt with crazing in plexiglass. If I were to guess, I would say the sloppiness of previous owner with the gas caused the polymers in the clear to break apart sort of like Plexiglas that breaks apart with too many years of UV light.

@@ZiddersRooFurry lol I'm just confused why he has tears
@@Voornaz Because the guys father died in 2001 and ever since his way of feeling connected to the father he lost is through their shared love of cars. Ambia was feeling empathy for them. It's OK to not understand but putting vomit symbols is just plain rude and immature.
Sheeting is “better”, prevents the dirty rain drop spots
Yea, "sheeting" is the new "beading"! Lol.
Arcade Sunday yes but actually no
@@virusboy07 yea, hence the conundrum. Who's right? We'll never know! Lol...
@Nickhead87 that's what companies that make these products led everyone to believe. But beads are just standing water waiting to evaporate and leave water spots if not removed
Nickhead87 It can when a product, when fresh, causes beading. Less beading means the product is diminishing.
7:30 LMAO
You guys are good people and that turned out amazing!
1983 Porsche 944 for sale. Just finished restoration. Does not start. Does not roll. BUT polished as hell.
I have to say Larry these kind of video’s are my favorite! To see very dirty or old/forgotten cars get cleaned up and restored makes my day, please don’t stop making these!
Amazing how these guys makes detailing a car into an artform, once I start the videos I can't look away.
It’s called “shell crazing” it’s a aerospace name for a similar condition on aerospace components!
My father had a chance to win a red 944 when I was in elementary school.
The setup was. Pick an envelope with a key to the car. If your key starts it. It’s yours. He told me to pick a certain envelope, I chose a different one. And of course the one he told me to grab started the car. I don’t think he spoke to me the whole drive home! 😂 congrats to you!
You are the Ltt of car cleaning, and this is definitely a compliment. Shoutout to you. Btw i watched this video 2-3 times already because it shows so much dedication and love for the work!
Both cars were amazing Transformations ! Hard to believe they make products that work so well without ruining the surfaces
Would love to hear what was needed to put the car back on the road.
Did that jack scratch your new garage floor?? I noticed it scraped along the driveway
7:30 lmao................. love this video, well done on the detail guys
Itay Rozenstein I had a solid laugh hahaha.
Amazing video Larry. Hard to believe you could actually bring this 944 back from the brink. Absolutely INCREDIBLE! You are one of the true MASTERS of detailing my friend. I would be PROUD to own that Porsche 944 after you gave it the "Larry & AMMO NYC touch". One of my dream Porsche's is the 928. Ever since seeing Risky Business at the movies when I was in High School, I immediately fell in love with the 928. I've always wanted one since that very day. I'd love to get one in mint condition now days. Maybe someday. Even if I found one in poor condition and had it brought back to it's former glory! I know a lot of Porsche guys/gals are all for the air cooled Porsche's, and I love those too, but there's just something about that "wedge" shapes of the 928/944 series that I really like. I think because it reminds me of the 70's and the "wedge" car era like the Triumph TR7 that a friend of mine drove in high school. Take care Larry. Looking forward to your next video!
LARRY! I love this video!! I love that it was a donation and yall went above and beyond for that beautiful car! This is the reason I watch your channel, things like this where you do something that means so much to someone. Love it
I'd love to see him driving it after it is done and in working order, if you can get a video of that, then it would be that much more awesome.😁👍
What a great video Larry! Also it looks like Kevin is probably the best owner that car could go to. Hoeing there will be a follow up video for all the work that's being done by SST
Mannn this car brings back so many memories, i remember my dad had the same 944 and i feel in love with it!
go merry her
This was the first Ammo NYC video I saw and I am so glad I found this channel.
The first car I owned was an 1982 944 that I bought in Germany in 2001 while my parents were stationed there. It was a problematic piece of beautiful crap, but man did I love it. Video really brought me back. Thanks.
When you put lotion on a car seat because it’s thirsty
Ahh when i hear that intro it takes me back years ago to the DRIVECLEAN days😥
My grandpa owns this exact car and I got to detail it just the other day! It didn’t turn out as great as yours but it looked good
Seeing Chris and crew steaming, shampooing carpets and vinyl, and making old leather new again is incredibly satisfying. I love cleaning things, but this is truly final form boss level.
wow thats alot of amazing work curious the final work afterwords
Congratulations for the cleaning and for the donation of your time!
I feel like such a dork, happy that the brake finally released at that moment.Great video :)
This video inspired me, I am also a detailer and I just emailed this charity asking to detail a couple of their cars. this is such an amazing idea, thank you!
Do NOT engage with Kars4Kids. They are a scam charity.
I love happy endings! Great job everyone. Nice storyline. Car looks good!!!
Hope he gets many happy hours in it.
Awwww so sad kid l
Lost my dad in 95. I watch these vids because of him too! 💜
Beautiful restoration and save from the junkyard!!
Aww, when the right owner showed up, he loosen his wheel for him in pure joy i think
Amazing Video... Any chance we can get an update when the car is running and driving?
Yea I'd also like to see the progress on this car in the future. I guess we'll never know, but let's hope the new owner gets it going.
I'm actually the new owner ..I plan on uploading a 30 minute update video in about a month
@@bilbobaggins4710 Amazing, thank you.
The Executioner good for you! Congratulations and all the best.
@@bilbobaggins4710 ah, that would be amazing.
Man this is like giving life back to a dried rotten corpse !!! So good to see a nice 944 back to its glory. Have always been a big lover of the 928 and 944, both great cars and great looking. Well done again Matt on bringing a classic car back to its glory. Your skills are unbelievable.
Beautiful car, beautiful story.
Thank you
Posche Gods thank you so much for taking back to life to one of their sons ..:D Awesome job...and for a good cause
So cool and great for the kids
Love your videos I want to have your job one day
Carsten's Clean Cars: It was a great video, especially being it was a 944. You might want to take a second look at how "great for the kids" it actually was. Very few people know that all the money donated to this organization goes to providing Jewish kids the ability to go to summer camps back east. I'm glad these kids get to go to camp but why not include all needy kids the same opportunity or at least be honest enough to convey where and to whom your donation will go.
@@bartbutkis less than 1% actually goes to their "charity" of running day camps for ultra Orthodox kids.
I wanna know how much he had to spend to get this up and running.
Will there be a second video?
I guarantee it didn't take much to get the engine to fire up, these things are resilient!
I want to know also.
I'm hoping Larry puts up a second video covering the engine detailing and restoration work.
and then we'll find out.
Looks alot of work
Really cool!
That locked wheel came loose :)
I know that feel when moving a car that's been sitting
when that back wheel finally moved !!
You guys do such incredible work!
That is a beautiful car. You worked your magic. I may have to get some of your products for my little shiny black Accord coupe.
One of the things why I like these guys is they try to fix and restore correctly. I have watch other so called channels and they just buff the crap out of a car so it looks pretty to just sell it.
We need a follow up video of its mechanics being refurbed.
I would love to see the update when this car gets running again
“Incredibly dry and thirsty” why did i die from that 😭😂
Hi Larry. As someone who was a former aircraft mechanic I dealt with crazing in plexiglass. If I were to guess, I would say the sloppiness of previous owner with the gas caused the polymers in the clear to break apart sort of like Plexiglas that breaks apart with too many years of UV light.
Love the story that you tell with your work and the cars you feature, thank you Ammo NYC.
