Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 Review

- I’m a fan of taking my personal Benelli shotgun into the field for a hunt, but mine is hardly a refined affair. I generally stick to my trusty, though large, Benelli Nova pump-action chambered for 3.5-inch loads. It’s rugged, affordable, and gets the job done, but I wouldn’t call it a speed shooter by any means.
So, when a lightly used Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 popped up in the Guns.com Vault, I just had to snag it for a test drive. It’s a gun that I’ve repeatedly heard about from other hunters while sitting in a blind, but I had yet to see one in action. Here’s what I found out when I finally got my hands on one.
My dad got one a few years ago and I’ve used it shooting clays and dove. It’s light, action is butter, loading gate is smooth and hasn’t jammed once. My favorite hunting shotgun so far
I just purchased a Benelli super black Eaglet three living in Massachusetts. There is a band on all semi automatic rifles and shotguns so if you did not buy one by August 1, you cannot buy one looking forward to getting mine out and patter it . thank you for your review it was helpful and there is a way to lower, the pattern a little more once you have your shim set if you’re a little high when you takeoff your forearm piece, the barrel slide’s and hits a stop the stop is threaded and can give extra downwards or upward paterning
“I’m used to just something hard and sometimes ya just jam your face into it and accept it just is what it is” well sir; while I have no first hand knowledge of this, I do respect your passion and experience! Lol I’m definitely going to show my girl this and see if she will adopt your philosophy here. I’m hopeful, but I’m also honest with myself and am fully prepared to be laughed at.
All jokes aside, Benelli takes the cake when it comes to shotgun quality and reliability for certain. You definitely get what ya pay for!!
I sold my Vinci because of the forward safety. I hated "reaching" for it, especially with gloves on. Love my SBE3
Its European sights on the SBE3. benelli is an Italian shotgun but unlike other Italian makers that cater to American shooters. They still use European sights meaning you aim under it so you can see your target better. You can shim the stock that it comes with to help assist or “bring down” that pattern
Now I have to pattern it
Great video. Would like to hear your take on the upgrades and advantages over the SBE II??
How smooth does it load shells? I’ve handled some models that are hard on your thumbs and reloading them is really uncomfortable. The loading gates pinch and mash your fingers. Does this Benelli avoid that?
The loading gate on the bottom is very smooth. This is a very nice overall shotgun by Benelli.
Benelli are made to pattern high so you can see what your shooting while hunting
Nice camo shirt…blends well with the gun camo
Any shell recommendation/ preferences? ( Waterfowl)
I like your fact based position, have you ever used a performance shop SBE?
Any thumb pinch problem when load the shell?
Love the shirt!
Can you do a video on the Super Vinci?
What camo in that sbe3?
Did you install the mid bead? I thought Benelli sb3 does not come with a mid bead
@Jack Jack interesting… I have 2 other buddies and including me, we all have the sb3 and neither of ours came with a mid bead so just curious lol
The 12ga should have a mid bead, the sub gauges will not
Just got a new 12 gauge sbe3 also no mid bead
What are you guys talking about? They all come with a mid bead. Every picture they have of the weapon on their website shows a mid bead.
They don’t always come with a mid bead. The dealer you buy it from will sometimes pre-install them or give you the choice. My dealer offered to put one on for free if I wanted it.
Mine patterns hi too
What is price in USA dollar
I got one in real tree max 5 for 1641$
Paid $2100 after fees and such a few days ago for one. In California if that makes a difference
"Goose Down"..🤣😂😅
Jam your face, buddy...🤣
Something hard on your cheeks then you jam your face in it?? I thought this was a shotgun review
I soooo regret buying the sbe3..... if a gun don't hit where you aim it's worthless.
I am looking to get the sbe3 but so many negative comments about this gun... this kind of stuff makes me things over again and aging.
@@mnfishing4194 get a browning bro trust me. Unless u can get use to offsetting your shots all the time especially if you shoot full choke like me.
@@nelsonyang365 I ended up getting a beretta a400 it was a display model and they gave me almost 300$ off haha.
They're made to shoot high
I purchased a Beretta A400 and then a couple weeks later I bought a Benelli Super black Eagle 3. The one thing I would change on the Benelli is the foreend. They should have the rubber insert like the Beretta.
