Thanks for taking us on a beautiful cruise and it's great to see you're both well and good luck with the telly stuff. Take care and all the best. Stevie
That junction was cool at the start! Can see why that's one of your fav spots, its beautiful! The greens and blues are lovely 😍 Maybe the cars were beeping because they knew Jan was at the tiller 😂 only joking! well done Jan 👏🏻 the classic canal side safari 🔍🦏 Some of our fav mooring spots have been Ellesmere arm, the spot with the big view on the shroppie(😂) and Market Harborough!
Was laughing at Jan popping up and down at the start. We like anywhere in daresbury to moor on the Bridgwater canal. But no internet 🥲. Old horn 😂😂😂😂😂. Love you two. Xx
What a beautiful vlog, stunning scenery. Looks like you are going to have a brilliant summer, would be great to come and say hi when you are a little further south x
Could you clarify the canal is the one from Oxford that goes up north and intersects the grand union or a continuation of the Thames river canal...I don't have a detailed map?.❤️🇬🇧
Certainly! And your first guess is correct! As the name implies The Oxford Canal starts its journey in Oxford with two direct links from the Thames - one at Isis Lock and the other via Dukes Cut. The canal then winds its way north, exactly as the Grand Union does, and the two canals meet at Braunston - a very popular, and some would say spiritual home of narrowboating. The Oxford Canal then weaves it's way through the outskirts of Rugby before ending at Hawkesbury Junction where it meets the Coventry Canal.
We didn't mind because those locks were reasonable and not too hard. We'd prefer them to help those who perhaps haven't done many locks before, or totally new to narrowboating. 👍
Jan! You could use a sun hat! I am paying the price for not wearing one! Beautiful vlog!
Thank you Jayne 👍
I've never really found a hat I like but I do use sun cream when it's really hot.
Your drone shots are incredible, definitely could be used on TV!
Thank you ❤️

many years ago Napton was a favourite place to go to to see boats and the buffalos...which makes amazing icecream...
Buffalo milk 🥛 😋
Absolutely lovely! Thank you.
Thank you Jean ❤️

Ah, you spotted the rhino by the canal!
Yes, we loved Ellesmere as well, handy for shopping and lots of individual shops in the town.
I loved the opening where the little woman kept popping up in the lower left hand corner of the screen like a puppet lol.... thanks for the laugh...
Yes, who *is* that? Every time I speak she interrupts me...😆
She's a hoofer from way back.... a born entertainer, it's in her blood..god bless her❤️🙏🇬🇧
Good to see you both. Enjoy your summer. Stay safe and healthy
Thank you very much 👍 ❤️

I love the Oxford canal. Great time of year to do it. I was there 2 years ago filming sheep being pulled out. Lovely vlog.

So far on the Oxford we've spent time with pigs and cows. Haven't done sheep yet...oooh err missus!
Great vlog, loving the drone shots
Thank you Chef, they bring a whole different perspective to the canals. 👍
Great vlog again, favorite moring is on the Llangolan next to the meres.

Hi just like to ask a queston what camers do you use or do you use your phone?
Hi Ian
Sony AX53, Gopro Hero 7 Black, Insta360, Mavic Mini 2 (drone) and occasionally a Samsung phone for some of the walks around towns/villages.
That's very help full thank you for taking the time to let me know.
They must think you don;t need any help .... sadly
