10:40 bless that lady for supporting Helen & Douglas House. A service that you wish didn't need to exist but is appreciated beyond words by everyone they work with. Having to deal with end of life care for your young child would be absolutely devastating.

47:25 the two cows = "kine", so the last line reads "Cupid's grace and hope a kind reply"

Living in Michigan, I am never far from UK namesakes....I live in Waterford and within a few miles of Birmingham and Oxford....😉 (London, Ontario, Canada is a small trip away as well.....🙂)
Update: Forgot to mention, I grew up in Bath Township...😁

Not much of a historian if you think the maori's came to new Zealand 3000 years ago, it was about 700 years ago. Mid 14th century.

Why couldn't my relatives have left me a £200,000 painting in their will! 😭😄

The Capitol building the State House what you called the back of the building is actually the front of the building. That is the original front of the building. The wings were added on later. The dome is the second dome to the building when the wings were added. The metal on the dome is copper and was replaced several years ago. Give it another 20 years and the copper will turn green which is what it looked like before the metal was replaced as it had worn out. What you called the public entrance of the building was added in the early 1900s. Because of security issues that has become the main entrance of the building. I was the Postmaster of the State Legislature in the mid 1990s and worked in the State House.

The Carved club does not look like any war club or Patu I have ever seen. It would be good to get the opinion of an expert on this. To me it looks more like a post European contact tool that has been carved by Maori.
It is shaped like something you would hit a fish on the head with or a Seal rather than the narrow slim line traditional tear drop shape of a Patu or Mere (the Jade clubs).
This object is far too thick for splitting open skulls.
Also the uncarved space looks left for the names to be written in English, again fitting with a tool rather than a weapon.

Maori only came to New Zealand around 900 years ago.... certainly not 3,000.....
    Very misleading by that "expert".....

Our ancestors or tupuna were already here on NZ which was adjoined to the bottom end of Australia before it split that's the truth so don't say we came on a canoe we didn't
tangata whenua that is us Maori
So you go back on your Waka to where you belong

1845 I'm guessing that piece should be worth, good condition for the year it was made no restoration so it should be worth 5,000 to 10,000 pounds in auction depending upon the bider . Really 1500 pounds made in 1845. What the heck

Now that crap has really no value so I'm guessing it may be worth 100 to 300 pounds. What the heck 800 pounds . Way off for a piece of crap that is not signed

I've often wondered in a world filled with the likes of Vladimir Putin, Netanyahu, and Traitor Trump, what kind of a person feels the need to express hate for the likes of harmless Fiona Bruce. Says a lot about you, Sue.
