A friend of mine has this set still in its original packaging. Never opened. I want to thank you on your inputs. Thanks to your help with my catenary, I have doubled the trains on my two main lines. Thank you.
Thank you so much for all your video's about Marklin of the 1980's and especially your "little helpers". I find then inspiring and very helpful. I have learn't so much. I especially enjoy Marklin of the 1960's and early 1970's. Please keep your video's comming. Kind regards, from Keith Heuer, Cape Town, South Africa.
Your knowledge of Marklin and of servicing locomotives is amazing. I really enjoy your video's. Please keep them comming. From Keith Heuer, Cape Town, South Africa.
I just discovered your channel! I’ve been trying to find someone who has a no scenery layout for so long. I like the clean technical look of yours. I just liked and subscribed. I’m looking forward to learning more about your layout and knowledge. Cheers!😊
Swedes can't do vodka as well as locomotives... For me, Stolitchnaya or Zubrowka only I am afraid... 😉 The werbewagen part of the collection is nearly there, just missing 4 French ones now (Poulain/Gervais/Lesieur/"Märklin l'autre façon de voyager"), if you see them for sale let me know 🙏
Quite the exquisite Xmas present, wow. The coaches matching the Swedish wooden locos are indeed lavish if one can get them at all. A superb consist with the weathered Swedish loco. Best wishes 🎁🧑🎄🎄
It's cool to see this layout still in full operation after a couple of years since it was built. For this Christmas, I put a simple round track around my Christmas tree. Did some maintenance on the locomotive with the help of your videos. Same for the couplings. Keep up this awesome content, and have an amazing new year! 🥂
Yes, those Swedish passenger cars are pricey - They rival the costs of the Le Capitole SNCF coaches (#4075). I have the baby brother SJ set #28703 with one extra passenger wagon #42702. My set has a steam engine with 2-axle coaches, but I prefer the 4-axle ones like those that you have, Right now the budget doesn't allow for it. Have a happy holiday!
A very interesting video my friend enjoyed very much seeing your stock some very nice engines always enjoy my visit to your channel cheers for now al 👍🎄🎅🚂🍷
@@marvinbanka7592 I think so, in principle it is just a matter of connecting a separate transfomer to control the catenary if independant control is needed. The brown circuits need to be joined (common ground).
yep, you need a shuttle controlle: either the old marklin one, or newer units (Viessmann, Uhlenbrock, Tams). See the Marklin unit in action here: ua-cam.com/video/2P1Bw-onSgY/v-deo.html and an overview of the functions here: ua-cam.com/video/2bkhV070_mY/v-deo.html
hm … how did santa know that you are a märklin-guy? does he know about your channel? ;)🎄 (As a steam-guy) I must say the SJ D is one of the most beautiful electric locos built by märklin! just an idea … how about using the wooden coaches with »stromführenden« couplings and get rid of the two extra pickup shoes for less friction?

Awesome trains !!! I recently found a couple of these locos and some SJ cars I wasn’t aware of before, but am still on the hunt for the wooden cars…
just a question of time I am sure... and a bit of money.... 😉
@@The3rdRail yes, they seem to be hard to find…

As always impressive, merry Christmas from Denmark.
Merry Christmas!
I second that😅
Nice trains!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
If you have a track with catenary, can you run two locomotives on it on an analog layout?
yes.
Does Marklin cover this in their catenary book?

Thanks again.
I have an analog Marklin ho layout.
Is it possible to do a point to point
length of track?
Thank you,
Marvin

Santa knows everything... yep, current conducting couplings would reduce friction a great deal, I thought about this too... ;)
