Thank you this was great! I have 8 children and i need a new group history curriculum and I've been eyeballing beautiful feet. I think we may do geography first then American history. I have a preschooler, a kinder, a first grader, a 3rd grader and 7th grader. With a few younger ones. I think this will be perfect for them.

I homeschool all year long and my laws are pretty non-existent in my state. So it doesn’t matter to me when I’m finishing it. I know that doesn’t sit well for everyone but it will take us as long as it takes us. If you do this early American history set only once a week, it will take you 2 - 2 1/2 years to get through it. If you do it twice or 3 times a week, you’ll be done with it in a school year. If you have a high schooler, you will want more difficult books for them and use a HS unit. I wouldn’t recommend using an elementary unit for the kids in HS unless you don’t care how detailed the history is that you teach. I hope that helps! 😊

Have you found the books to be appropriate? I watched a video where they had some reservations. I think it was Around the World with Picture Books by Beautiful Feet.
so far i have not found anything to be inappropriate at all. some of the books were written a long time ago, so if you are worried about some language not be PC then you will have that on occasion but I find that to be a great learning opportunity! Language changes over the ages and it is a great way to exposed our kids to different thinking of the time and how people communicated. But I have not found a single issue to far. I hope you find this helpful! What is inappropriate for one person won’t be for another. We has the parents just need to do our best and just keep open dialog with our kids if we find something to be inappropriate. Do you have something specific that you heard was inappropriate? There will never be perfect curriculum out there! I have found Beautiful Feet to be very engaging, easy and perfect for my family. Nothing is dry or boring and that is alway a win for us! 😊

We're considering this for the Fall. Do you know if any of the books have audio book versions? My kids love audiobooks and not just always listening to me read all day :)
Beautiful feet books do not offer any audio books on their website. If you choose audio books, you would have to write down the list of the books used and purchase them separately through your choice of audio app. You can purchase the teacher’s guide separately so you can do the audio. I’m sure not all the books are available on audio, so you may have to purchase some. I personally do not care to read aloud and our family LOVES audio books but the portions in each lesson you are reading is very minimal, so it hasn’t been a big deal for our family. 😊

Good point. I have 5 boys and 2 girls. Some boys are wigglier than others. I think they'll need something to do when we read.
