With his Wahl Icon clippers, Eric is going to show you how to achieve the 'proper' beardstahce. For starters, everyone needs to know the difference between with the grain, and against the grain. You'll want to trim with the grain of your beard if you're doing a simple maintenance trim, and wanting to keep the overall length. In this instance, Eric is going to go against the grain to achieve a stubble length.

Yeah, it's all about patience. You need to be able to trim your beard or shave it all off without regretting it. You also need to be able to push through uncomfortable phases like the two-week.

It was hard for me to imagine you with a beardstache while I was watching your video on hybrid beards. But it indeed turned out to be a good look for you and I'm glad you didn't decide to let go off your moustache as it is, quite literally, the greatest asset of your beard. So keep on growing it ;)

Same as before since the mustache didn't get bigger. Just small bites, forks & knives, and drinking through straws.
I find myself avoiding things like pizza and coffee cause of this. But I guess you're right. Thanks man

When I was 15 I was about that height (maybe 5'10"). I started growing around 16, 17 & 18.

It looks ugly. I didnt liked the oversized stache before, and now when you trimmed rest of the beard to even shorter it looks even worse. Just my opinion.

Because I prefer leading fashion trends rather than following them. I believe the mustache is coming back and I like setting the scene.

Ive always wanted a mustache and mine is so big it always gets in my mouth when i eat.. and hairs will pop up and point directly outward when i talk to people.. stuff like that.

Yes, good. It's like a big 'M', or even a big 'W'. I'm still getting 1/2 mouthful of stache when I eat and need to think about styling my stache away from my mouth, but still keeping it big, which can be difficult. I'm trying to get an appointment at Stag Co. in Edinburgh for a beard and stache style/tidy-up as it's a mess again and don't want to do it myself. I'd rather the experts did it.
my mustache is still pretty blonde, I hope it can get darker once i'm a bit older, i'm only 19 right now. Hopefully it's terminal length will get longer in the future and it will become more darker and bigger.
Where do you "draw the line" between mustache and beard to know which hairs stay long (as part of the mustache) and which hairs (as part of the beard) get trimmed short? You're making some choices from 1:47 to 1:57 but it's too fast, off camera, and/or has hands in the way.

I'm only 19, but I have an okay growth for a 19 year old. Somewhat weak mustache and under part of lip. Mustache cant connect as well. Sides under eyes are somewhat weak too. Any tips? I am still pretty young though.
I'm 23 now and my mustache still doesn't connect to my beard. It's gotten significantly thicker since I was 19 however. Just keep your beard short and clean for now, in a few years you'll start seeing some of those patches fill in.
