- One has to wonder why the "misterioso" section of John Barry's music for this sequence was cut from the final film. Here it reappears.
1:25 I like how Bond tried to slam the gate forcefully on the guy behind him HAHA
Yeah, that was awesome. It gave the scene a very realistic feel.
You always felt that Lazenby could really handle himself in a fight.
He was a good fighter actually he served in the forces, trained martial arts with Bruce Lee and was a stuntman for a bit and knocked a man out by accident filming or so i heard anyway so dont take my word for it.
He did, thats how he was confirmed for the role @@mashleyred2180
It’s true he could fight and a great athlete
Janitor whistling Goldfinger! Peter Hunt is a legend! ❤
007 CM he was whistling Goldfinger song and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service gives several references to first 5 Bond films especially when Bond is in his office looking at gadgets. His line “This never happened to the other fella” is a nod to Sean Connery’ s Bond breaking the fourth wall
@007 CM No, it's Goldfinger, the first few notes give it away.
@@Mabus16 no, his point is Goldfinger's first notes sound very similar to Moon River
@@alwaysOPEN4business I meant that you can clearly hear the janitor whistling the "the Midas touch" part before the "Goldfinger" part.
@@Mabus16 well he whistles the 'he's the man' part but I see your point
the really quick short sharp editing of the fight scenes with nice camera angles makes them fight scenes spot on!
Dammit! You cut it off right before one of my favorite shots in the whole movie!
Yh me 2
But it's 13th Mr Bond. -I'm superstitious
Don't kill me yet, Mr. Bond. Not before we've had a drink.
Did anyone notice that Bond swing the door to hit the escorting thugs or to annoy them? Ingenious small details
Just like the janitor whistling “Goldfinger”.
Ya I did. First I saw OHMSS. In this scene. Very smart act of GL as Mr. Bond swing the door to hit his opponent 🤟
“MMMMMM!” Long drive that was. Left the hotel in the morning and arrived at nighttime.
I've just realised they dubbed his voice from @0:20 - @0:28 he doesn't even open his mouth.
I like the black guy saying MMMM!!! all time like a cow, that's hilarious
Αlmost like Oddjob in ''Goldfinger''.
Μακης Λ “ahhh ahhh”
😹 😹 😹...
You missed out the best bit where he throws the knife in the calendar!
The best Bond film
I loved how these guys were the baddie henchmen and then turned up on the good side in the Piz Gloria assault ... good thing Bond didn't off them!
I am actually sad, they cut the music at 0.57. It would have worked well, if the music had stayed on until it actually stops. SO glad you put it back
Thats an amazing scene. I LOVE IT!
The fighting conveyed, what the military call speed kills, Peter Hunt was a staff sergeant in world war 2 and served from 1924_1947 , Ken Adams the bond set designer ,was a typhoon pilot ,
Great Bond film absolutely amazing
Note that the tonneau cover is studded over the roof ... but the roof is raised whilst driving.
Perhaps we can make a foursum 😂😂😂😂
He could make more than a foursome at Blofeld's Clinic 😂😂
george missed a great chance of not doing a few more bonds i am sure he would have been terrific
I have one thing to say .....MMMM!!!
The black dude is from live and let die
... who tries to charge 007 for not putting ice in his drink.
@@t.b.g.504 haha. You right.
The smart Bond is portrayed in this scene (1:25). Cool and didn't panic 👍👍👍
but today is the thirteenth mr bond
3 against 1 and Bond handles all 3 with ease before running into Draco.
😹 😹 😹...
Lazenby at only 29 filming this, he really looks the part and he really could handle himself, really is a pity he didn't continue on as James Bond instead of the camp Carry On style of the next few instalments
I have a fondness for Diamonds Are Forever on it's own terms, and Live And Let Die is one of my favourite Bond films, as it was the first film in the series I saw and it hooked me in. So on the one hand yes, it would have been great to see Lazenby develop as both an actor and as Bond onscreen, but on the other hand, I don't want a world where Roger Moore didn't play Bond. It's a similar situation with Dalton not doing Goldeneye. I want it but I don't because Pierce is just perfect in that film. Either way it's not like we can turn back time.
@@horrorfanandy4647 absolutely right, can't imagine Roger Moore not playing Bond. He was my first Bond movie in the cinema
Love this movie! Lazenby was the BEST Bond!
No he wasn’t! He did 1 film!!! 1!!!!!!!!!
Shows even more he is the one
Koval Fetterer the best film in the franchise
Bullshit - Lazenby was nothing but a model, hired for his looks
His Bond was scary in the fight scenes. Much better than "get me a stuntman" Moore.
😊👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Mmmmmm
I have no idea if it´s intentional or it´s because Lazenby cant act but I just love that everyone else is pretty serious and Bond, while being held at gunpoint, is so nonchalante. It does sell Bond is this super spy that has been kidnapped and shot at an inhuman number of times.
Talks to much but that’s acting
Worst Bond, bad movie. The only good part was Diana Rigg (RIP)
Best Bond movie.
It's a great bond movie!
Amazing Bond, decent movie. I am 27 years old too.
You got no taste
@@stuffedsheepshead no it’s more like I actually think outside the box and I don’t necessarily agree with the general public consensus 😂 he has been massively slated for years, particularly as he starred in one of the best Bond movies with no prior film acting experience. He was proper physical, probably the best Bond fighter and created a human quality which no other Bond oversaw
