Hi, really cool video :). Watched the full Kyrgistan series and really liked it. Do you hava a map on what you all visited because i am planing my trip and would love some recommendations also routes to drive through. Thanks!
Thanks for your nice comment! We don't have a map but the UA-cam descriptions are quite informative on the route. We use organicmaps for offline navigation (mixed with common sense as it's not perfect). There is a nice book with offroad routes from OunTravela which can also help. We unfortunately learned too late about this trip, but everyone who we recommended it to afterwards, was very happy. Safe travels!
Hi it’s looks awesome I’m travelling to Almaty in July for 6 weeks and I’m planning doing trip to Kyrgistan also can you give me tips pls how you find this beautiful trip with some guides horses and everything please ❤
Hi they rent the car for you with tent and everything for camping like stove for cooking sleeping bag enc?😮when driven to Karakol you still Have paying for your car or there is possibility rent the car in Bishkek and leave at different place or you have to bring to the same place , pls could help me with this info and if you can provide the company name who rent the cars sleigh the camping gears pls is it very expensive per day 🙂🙃Thank you
That all depends on how comfortable you are driving a car, whether you like the guidance of a driver or not, etc. Navigation to the main nearby places is not so difficult, so we liked the freedom of selfdrive. Enjoy your trip!
We paid 50 usd per day for 21 day rental Toyota 4runner incl camping gear. We were there sept 2021, just after/during Covid so I think it's best you check the current rates with the local suppliers as demand is definitely higher right now.
@@ggill162 We rented our car with Serge from Travel Experts. I cannot comment on other companies, but there are several suppliers available. Good luck!
Hello dear Celine. We are a couple who are thinking of making a trip similar to yours, and we would like to read a couple of tips and advice. We are also going from Europe. Could we contact you by mail? Best regards and thousands more trips!
Hi Gabriel, nice plans you have! You can contact me by email on hello@seenbyceline.com but maybe your questions might be interesting for other viewers as well so you can also ask them here. This is info I have shared before in case you wonder where to rent the car: We rented the car from Sergey of Travel Experts. You can also check out ountravela.com/en/things-to-do-in-kyrgyzstan/4x4-rental-in-bishkek-osh-4wd-to-travel/ . This couple has a book with 4x4 routes in Kyrgyzstan and the most amazing photos! Too bad we only discovered their book at the end of our trip!
@@seenbyceline Hello, thanks for your answer of course we can ask here, so others who are interested can also participate. Our plan is to rent a 4x4 but also to do some Hiking for 4 or 5 days maximum. We have two weeks, so we will try to be as efficient as possible without any worries. We will arrive at the beginning of September in Bishkek. So far we are planning the routes. the questions are as follows: -are the guides for the hiking managed locally, or do you recommend contacting them through a company? - We don't know if camping is regulated, is it allowed without problems by the lake, or in the rural areas, did you have to ask permission in the first spot or can you only go along - as you recommended in the video, in a secluded area to avoid disturbing. - Although the safety opinions are clear, do you consider that any special safety measures should be taken? - We will contact Sergei and compare it with the other options on the page you sent us! thanks for the recommendation. - In relation to time, what in your experience would be the must-see destinations in a two-week trip, and would you have in mind any specific hikes that would be a "must do"? Thank you and best regards hope your channel keeps growing, it's very inspiring!
Hi Gabriel, You will be there at a similar time of year then we were there. - Every hiking destination like Karakol & Jyrgalan have some kind of local community based tourism board (CBT). We booked our hike in advance through Destination Jyrgalan. Karakol has one as well. I'm sure you can organise something on the spot, but we just didn't want to waste time. - Wild camping is allowed in Kyrgyzstan. We often use the app iOverlander to find spots that others have used, or just browsing Google satelite view... - I think Kyrgyzstan is a relatively safe country, but as everywhere you have to use common sense. Be prepared for different weather conditions when you go hiking and don't do things above your skills/capacity. - we had 3 weeks in the country. For 2 weeks I would focus on East Kyrgyzstan: Bishkek - Karakol/Jyrgalan for hiking - Issyk Kul South with stop at Skazka canyon - If you have time (but long driving days) we thought the valley to reach Kel Suu Lake was as well very pretty. I always find it hard to recommend the best or must do hike, as we have barely scratched the surface of the country :-).
