    Wow thank you, this seems like a much cheaper and reliable method compared to starlink. Also once I saw the power draw it took it, starlink wasn't feasibly for remote camping anymore.

      It should be a game changer for us!! Im currently in a no service area responding to this comment, so from the little things to the bigger tasks we need to accomplish online, it seems to keep us moving! It was a costly investment, but the value shows itself immediately. I love picking up a new piece of efficient gear. Feels like growth in our overall journey! No more long trips to the coffee shop to get wifi and wasting all that extra gas! Hope you’re doing well! We’re in the Jackon Area til around November. If you ever end up over this way let us know!!! Dont think we will be able to make it north from here this year unfortunately. Weekend bartending has me kind of locked in the general area, and snow will push us and our rear wheel drive car out in november! Trying to decide on a winter town that isnt TOO bad with snow! Yosemite? Zion? Arizona? Not too sure yet! Would love to make Yosemite work out 🤤

      Its a tough call. It all depends on where exactly you travel. I have ATT and my girlfriend has Verizon. Some places i get more signal than her and some she gets more than me. Id say whatever makes more sense for you financially.

    I own two 1997 town car's... I thought that in 96 they changed the manuals to read towing capacity was 2000 or less? I would love to know that i for sure could tow 3000-5000 lbs, i am pretty sure its the same engine you have too.
    Thanks, Im a new subber BTW

    • @BrandonLasprilla
      @BrandonLasprilla  5 років тому +2

      Hey Tara! Yes, they did drop the tow cap to 2,000. It was originally 5,000 but for some legal reasons they had to lower it. I and many other people will confirm that it can pull atleast 3,000 ( my camper is around 3,200 now ) with no problem whatsoever. Ive had people tell me that it will tow 5,000 too like the initial rating, but personally i wouldnt put it to that test! thanks for subscribing ❤️

    That is really cool! Costly but when you need the off did signal it seems to work well. Was it pretty easy to setup? May need to get one for our scamp to upload faster when we are out in nowhere land, the best places to be.

    • @BrandonLasprilla
      @BrandonLasprilla  5 років тому +2

      By far the best places to be! I was pretty suprised how easy it was to put it together. Time consuming more than anything. About 30 minutes start to finish, but 5 minutes every time after initial construction. Steps 1-6 are labled as soon as you open the box with VERY clear instructions right in front of you. I thought the experience post purchase was pretty professional. I have plenty of gear that the shipping/instructions/customer service was not as professional as this booster. Then again, i dont always spend this much on gear! Lmao!

    I just got one of these and tested it in a location where my phone goes from no service to 1-2 bars in a valley. It didn't seem to work at all, I moved the outdoor antenna to try to point to the tower but didn't seem to help. I am not sure why you can go from no service to that many bars of LTE, I don't get it.

    • @tedrhoads366
      @tedrhoads366 4 роки тому

      It would depend on your provider. For example, Brandon was running with AT&T, they have plenty of cell towers, however far away they might be, they are not too far for a tall antenna and booster. If your provider is T-mobile, they might not have a cell tower for 50 miles and no boost antenna can magnify a zero signal that cannot be seen from a 15 foot antenna. It all comes down to where your provider's closest tower is. Brandon could map out where that tower was that he hit...that would be interesting and more scientific. Even with AT&T, if the closest tower is 30 + miles away, not sure that increase in antenna height and boost will work, but it would be a fun experiment. Question would be: How far away from a tower would that setup work ??

  • @kwpayne11
    @kwpayne11 4 роки тому

    One question for you, are you powering this with 12v DC?, It looks like it in the video. All the other videos I watched say to connect to AC power but we boondock so I'd rather use DC.
    Thanks!

    • @BrandonLasprilla
      @BrandonLasprilla  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, whole system runs 12v DC. I like to keep things simple for my daily use things. Ideally, i’ll use an inverter only when needed for appliances or whatever. Im not a master at electricity, but id believe this is maximizing my power due to minimal loss in the inverter process. If you need solar power advice, i always reccomend watching @willprowse on youtube. Hands down best information and best presentation on the internet to learn.

      Perfect, thanks. I've watched a bunch of Will's videos and reviews and have a 340 watt system on our camper. Next up is inverter and cell booster so I can work remotely. I agree, 12vDC is better than using the inverter and glad the weboost allows for it.
      Thanks a bunch!

    • @BrandonLasprilla
      @BrandonLasprilla  5 років тому +2

      Hey Ariel! First of all, congrats on the move! The signal booster is strong enough, yes. BUT, it all depends on the location. Every single location will give you different signal strength. In this specific location, i had zero signal and boosted to 3 LTE. However, I have heard from friends who have the same booster that they find spots where signal simply cant be found. Its not the boosters fault, but if there is no signal for the antenna to read, then there is no signal to boost. I would just suggest that when looking for a campsite, aim for ones that already have signal. You can find this out by looking at sites like freecampsites.net and reading reviews on signal. You may be able to find signal in no signal zones, but for stability and efficiency in business that must be done, go to campsites that already have signal. At these campsites, the booster will give you all the signal you need to stream. I am currently at a new no signal spot, and have 2 bars LTE. Im loading Netflix, calling people, and responding to this message no problem! I occasionally drop a call here because signal is so scarce out here, but i put zero blame on the booster. Its not always a miracle worker, but if you have atleast weak signal, it will give you what you need every single time. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching 💚💚💚

    Not get you a signal. These are boosters. They can only boost an existing signal. So I am calling BS. Even we boost will tell You that. I’ve got one and it does work but only when I m ina appt with some signal.
