Uniden 8010 External VFO repair and restore for the Uniden 2020 HF Transceiver

Not a difficult repair but if you asked me what I learnt, it was definitely the bulb replacement for the vfo dial, fiddled and fiddled, and my conclusion, pull the screw out and remove the holder , still painful, just less painful. The switching issue for the vfo is fairly uncommon and I doubt you will see it very often, but was an interesting fault to chase.
