If you think about it, Planet Wisp is symbolic of the Earth itself. A once beautiful landscape with the wisps (animals) able to roam freely with worry, then this human by the name of Eggman (Humanity) decides to start transforming the land into a huge amusement park for the happiness of all, and to do so he captures and enslaves the wisps (much like we capture, kill, experiment on, cage as pets, etc. , and the actual reality is that the amusement park isn't bringing happiness to anyone (the amusement park in this case being social media) and instead _everything_ is a lot worse off now than before the amusement park even existed, but Eggman refuses to stop construction because science and technology only progress. Even how each act's music slowly goes from natural sounding instruments to more percussion based directly reflects how society has gone from more natural interactions with each other to becoming more superficial.
First half of this sage: You’re boosting around while breaking the sound barrier listening to this beautiful masterpiece while running around the beautiful landscape. Second half of this stage: *ROCKET!*

Personally I find it amazing that Sonic Team was able to put a level in Generations from a game that had only been around for a year when Generations came out, and give it the same amount of references and details (like the Wisp powers and the announcer) as the other eight levels.
I just think it's awesome that they remade the stage in gens, I think it's the stage that suffered the most out of the Wii's not-very-good processing power in the original.

The generations remix is mostly based off the act 1 track but has the bass of act 3 but the ultimate remixes are okay alone just not as good as this or the original, I’d say that the act 2 remix is the best remix of planet wisp and probably the best level remix in colors ultimate tbh
This stage is incredibly easily it's a little on the lengthy side because A that was a main problem in Colors it's level length, and B because it's combining 6 acts into one. My record is 4:27-4:47 I'm not looking right now lol but this stage is my favorite to speed run...
Why do people hate this Level? :( I know I get it its really hard and takes forever. But the Factory sections aren't that bad for me. I think what I love about this level the most is the grassy parts. Also love the music. :)
I think it has something to do with the main premise of sonic going fast, but at the second part of the stage it gets very boring as it's more logic based, which makes you have to slow down, which takes a lot of the fun out of the stage

While I understand why the developers put Planet Wisp in this game instead of any other stage, I would have preferred Aquarium Park tbh. That music is SO AMAZING! This stage represents Sonic Colours brilliantly, starts with brilliant 3D sections before turning into a very tedious 2D section... well you can't say it's not accurate.
At least the Levels in Colors are short if you know what you’re doing. In Gens it’s like 30 seconds of 3D goodness and then 4 minutes of 2D even if you’re good at it.

I never grew up with the Classic Sonic games. I never grew up with the Adventure games. My first Sonic game ever was Sonic Colors and I immediately fell in love with the music. I never played any of the other games to be able to appreciate their inclusions. -except for Metal Sonic cuz Sonic CD is amazing-

When I first laid my eyes on Planet Wisp in this game, especially as Modern Sonic, I was so astounded by the beauty of the area. I got so pumped up...Uuuuntil I started dying like 16 times (not the actual amount but felt like it) and took forever to get through it. I never played through any 2000 Sonic game.
Every time Sonic leaps off a yellow boost ramp or goes through a rainbow ring in this level, I always make sure to shout “Good! Great! Awesome! Outstanding! Amazing!” (Unless I do less than 5 tricks)
I remember playing Act 1 of Planet Wisp in Colors and hearing the off key strike of the piano. Makes me laugh everytime I replay it. Haha. I got the memories.

I remember playing Act 1 of Planet Wisp in Colors and hearing the off key strike of the piano. Makes me laugh everytime I replay it. Haha. I got the memories.
