Hey guys, In my brief survey so far, around 200 people have indicated that they are interested in a complete kit for Flaura. From 250 people I think the whole organizational effort (finding reliable suppliers, importing goods, clarifying legal and bureaucratic questions, organizing shipping) would make sense for me. Can we make the 250? If you haven't voted yet, here is the poll: docs.google.com/forms/d/1GDRpVRxuvAgHPNp1CEXVgIKZr3mZhqmVqcmtKoSlDA8
Are we at 250? I have started to find parts but some of them are difficult, especially the custom circuit board. I would like to be able to just get a kit with one included, or be able to buy individual ones from you?
Did it reach 250?? I want to buy a kit. i already have the PCBs here and all files printed. I also notices the parts list is removed? why? did you abonrt the project or?
Just wanted to thank you and let you know that the love for detail and your effort make this series one of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen. Good work!
Kudos! Certainly one of the best BOM explanations I have ever seen or heard. The care with which you explain the important parameters of each part, so that others can shop for them, is exemplary!
I rarely give a 'thumbs up' for videos, but this one deserves it for being plenty of details. That is great for DIY people, like me. I found the exposition about the capacitive sensors particularly interesting (that's in another video that I suggest you to take a look).
Back so soon! thanks for putting the parts list on here, I'm just about to watch the video (with a shopping tab on the side) Nice haircut by the way :)
Nice project! Now it would be nice a larger version, this one it's just for small plants. And the only thing I would change is the water level sensor. I would use another capacitive soil sensor for the water level sensor because using electrodes will corrode overtime and you will need to replace them. Overall great job.
Hi, I know it's an old project, Can you make a complete list and with links (maybe Aliexpress links) to the things I need to buy to make such a plant pot? or perhaps you go with the idea of making a newer and easier plant pot project? 😁
And for the capacitive sensor, Amazon UK have devices from a supplier called AITRIP. These sensors have TL555C timer chips which are the low power CMOS versions. I bought 10 of these and they are suitable.
Thanks for sharing this great tip! My next video will go into a little more detail on these capacitive soil moisture sensors. I found out that a lot of them have some kind a flaw.
Great video, and i'm going to give this project a try! I noticed that there's a water level sensor on the pcb and the parts list mentions the connectors jst with 6 pins, but i can't find the water level sensor part description or reference anywhere... can you provide some info on the part? TIA
The water level sensor IS just this cable with 6 wires ;) In this video (ua-cam.com/video/LBk85mRINqQ/v-deo.html) at 15:41 you can see how it looks like. It's a really cheap and simple but efficient design.
I would have made something like this in a heartbeat following your guidance but since my severe brain injury due to a car crash I couldn’t even put on of your mentioned kits together 😭 also are you planning on HomeKit support? Also are you planning on different size pots?
I am sure that you will be able to do this. I will explain everything in detail in the next videos :) HomeKit support and different sizes are on my to-do list, but first I want to finish the rest of the instruction videos.
@@FlauraSmartPlantPot not a problem, sounds great! Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to because I have certain mobility and functional problems. I think I’ll wait for different, possibly bigger ones. Also HomeKit 👍🏻
Weird question, but could you explain why the diode is used in the pump/mosfet connection? It seems to work without but if there are reasons it is needed, I would like to know that :)
Have printed and built it! Just waiting for the pump to arrive from China. I have calibrated the capacitive sensor with a test program logging to an Adafruit database over a number of days with different moisture levels. All looks good. Can you post the ESP32 code so that I can test the scheduling/Blynk interface and battery life?
Wow impressive how fast you were with it. Unfortunately, the code is not really finished yet and I want to concentrate on the assembly videos first. I don't want to embarrass myself with the unfinished code, can I somehow send it to you privately for testing?
@@alancross2679 unfortunately, youtube has no private message function. Maybe you can send me an email (you can find the address on my channel page) so that I can contact you :)
Nice. I'd like to read the code for arduino, overall the part of sleep mode, if used. Where can I find this code?. I am practicing with arduino and enjoy playing. Thanks,
Unfortunately, at the end of this video series I discovered that there is no working software for this flower pot. So everything was wasted. The time and money for the hardware. Maybe you could add this to the beginning of your videos. Gruß Andi

I love how this project utilizes that sensor from the bottom up. only 6k subs? dude I'm going to watch you blow up like 'stuff made here' did.

Have fun ordering and hopefully everything will arrive quickly.
@@FlauraSmartPlantPot did you ever get to make these kits to sell to people ?
Great job, I am trying to build something similar with growing lights support in mind for indoor herbs

Good work... just subscribed. Why haven't you use the same capacitive sensor for water level also?
Can you please please explain to me a little bit, what are the resistors for? Thank you
how often do I need to recharge the battery?
Nice info, thanks for sharing it :)
I am finding it to be practically impossible to source the correct Lolin32
Same. I’m having issues with the driver update and can’t seem to connect in the IDE
Hi! Thanks for sharing the BOM, great video! I'm having problems finding the right LOLIN32, would a D32 work if I got my hands on them?
The D32 also works in principle, but the pin layout is different, so you would then have to adapt the custom circuit board accordingly.
How do I make this board there in JCLPCB ? You sent a zip file, but I don't know which one I send to them. Thanks !
When the battery runs out, how do I charge it ? Thanks !
Would it be possible to have this solar power driven?

Why did you delete the parts list? where did it go? where can i get it?

Bro how to connect 10 pot at a time with one controller and one motor is it possible ?

it will clamp reverse voltage spikes caused by the reactance of the motor.
What is the actual cost of the product

I did it using a esp32 and esphome.
This is great, any chance you could upload the files as .step files?
The files are already online as step files on thingiverse (packed in a zip) ;)
Do you plan to use esp32 modules rather than development board?
That would be an excellent step for further development. But I probably won't be able to do that this year ;)
