dude, I have questions. I have rasberry pi and made a large hydroponic and greenhouse, 8x8 meters. Where did you get all the sensors? Is this all open source that I can use these? I am just starting up and had a lot of failures on the way including getting very sick. I am hoping to get things working.

It is humbling to be sure but don't forget, all of these skills in detail are available for study on the web. If you are strong enough in any area you can pick up the other skills just by doing. People like Kyle make this possible by sharing the kind of detail he does. That's what blows me away. Anyway, Thanks Kyle! Amazing!

A lot has changed since I was a kid. When I was a kid, all of this was at most, just imagination. Heck, smartphones weren't even a thing when I was a kid. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for people who are 80-90 years old. The world of their childhood is long dead and gone. Unlike a lot of the older generation, I'm totally for automation and technology. It can really be a huge benefit to humanity, however, I also believe that the old ways of farming should remain, even if just to preserve crop variety.

Only reason is its daunting and seeing one person do all of this might overwhelm someone who is new to it but if you are experienced and have realized how important each of these tools are and how much easier it gets with more automation this is on point. EQ your music so it doesn't overlap your voiceover channel (notch the midrange) and use a microphone next to your mouth instead of in a room with a wall nearby so no echo's are recorded (or use some kind of foam or dampening material to dampen the reflections.

Well, at least we now know how to set up our automated Hydroponic system when colonizing a new planet. You know, that manifest destiny thing! That was so involved and complicated that I'd rather piss in the wind that try to recreate this system. But all joking aside, this is above and beyond a well thought out and well designed system. Insane build that I am certain only a few will be able to recreate. Nice job! Truly!

Wow, great job! Check out my build some time. Your use of automation is awesome. Would you sell the same sensor system set up with the raspberry pie and all the files needed?
