I tell you what, Paul has always caught all kinds of heat and snickers over the years because of either his hair cut styles, clothes or his delivery on his videos, (I’ve even made stupid little comments on occasion) but the reality is that he’s a pretty cool dude! He knows what questions to ask and how to keep an interview moving forward and keep it interesting. You can tell John is really reacting and interacting with him very comfortably. That’s the sign of a good interviewer. Keep up the excellent work Mr. Riario!

Agreed, although I saw Malmsteen live for the first time not too long ago and having not really gotten into any of his stuff past the mid nineties, I'll tell you something,: that dude hasn't been just cruising on his plateau either. It's amazing how guys like Petrucci or Malmsteen can reach such an unprecedented level of ability and even after decades just keep getting better and better.

Such a great video. From the first time I listened to this album I was struck by how great and clever the harmonic progressions were. Those guys really found the perfect balance between complexity and musicality, which is a hard thing to do; you can always make things crazy complex to the point you can't even enjoy them.
