- The cosmetic customization choices you get for the xenos and marines. Pretty cool to make a marine just the way you want. Also some of those head pieces are freaking awesome looking.

The customization options for the Xenomorph are pretty badass, but the game itself... eh, could be better.

I would've love to see a mod or dlc on this in Battlefield. especially with the Colonial Marines: Technical Manual book has tanks, armor and artillery. that would been great.
Actually, they pay homage to the original scores from Alien and Aliens pretty well.
If you watch those, you'll hear their themes in this.

No it isnt because the multiplayer is pretty much dead. More so than Fallout 76 and Anthem.
Aliens colonial marines:
Good: atmosphere(sometimes), aesthetics, aliens and alien types, weapons, multiplayer (mostly), music, demo.
Bad: everything else...:(
that is if you're nice towards the game, the aliens are shit, the AI of the aliens is shit and the atmosphere is mostly shit
The music isnt that great tbh. Especially the main menu music.

Julius Hegge Unfortunately no,but console wise, multiplayer is essentially a baron wasteland with nothing. But if i ever get the chance to get it on pc i'll gladly add you :}

For PC I would recommend it. I've seen HD video of the new Recon DLC for the PS3, but Xbox look really bad to me. I think the gameplay for the marines are better than AVP, but the Aliens are hard to navigate. Since the 1.2 patch the game looks much better (almost demo). I have a video comparison. But you are entitled to your opinion.

i want Oprah as my custom skin in multiplayer. with recorded voice lines... like " cover me, immm out of AMMMOOOOOOooOOOOooOOooO!!!"
Look at steam Guides: Aliens Colonial Marines the Missing manual. Matchmaker and no dedicated servers suck. Making friends, finding groups, currently is the best and almost only way to play multiplayer since each server region has it's own peak play time.
i would take a toy of any of the xenos.

Preorder came with the Sharp rifle "As referenced by Hudson in Aliens, the prototype sonic-harpoon artillery remote projectile (S.H.A.R.P.) rifle fires time-delayed, explosive-tipped darts that embed themselves into enemies or terrain" pcauthority com.
It isn't AvP so no Predator ever put a net on an alien to the point where it caused that scar. So no, no Nethead.
hopefully they'll add more content for the xenos and marines in the dlc's along with maybe a 360 turn mdeling system god i want that

If you like Aliens, don't mind a few *few* glitches and don't mind buying a few DLC's then yes I would: on PC. don't bother on consoles. I'm not a big PC gamer, but that's the way you want to go.
The only thing they got right with this game was the customization and weapon varieties..
PC version definity, prices have dropped on Amazon so that if you don't like it it's not a total waste of money. PS3 yes but they don't have the new 1.2 graphics patch that makes it look like my comparison video, xbox rent first I only see low res videos for that so I don't know. I like Co op the best and read my Aliens Missing Manual on steam.

On unlocking customization items it says level up or do a challenge,
How does the item unlocks work by leveling up? Is it random?
Or after a set level do you unlock it?

I heard Patches had fixed screen tearing, glitches, and bug fixes, and AI improvement, but that you were still stuck in 2003 for graphics because Gearbox says the RAM and GPU in consoles can't support it, but Halo4 looks great. ??
So I think the GrBX programmers are just not experienced enough. Maybe if they would have started the game 7 years ago like they said they did we'd all have what the Demo looked like. WiiU dropped the game from their system.

Campaign..kinda, it's just meh in comparison to the e3 2012 demo. Multiplayer is 10/10, better than AvP 2s multiplayer def. Worth getting because of that.
No. In campaign you play as story-characters. I think the main character's name is Winters.

Do you actually get to play as your created character and loadout in the campaign?
Cause all the gameplay i saw, the coop character was the same mowhawked guy, as well as winters being a generic looking marine.
