yep 40 megaton explosion, the colony was meters away from the processor which blew up the entire facility. Hadley's Hope took heavy damage due to it being caught in the blast radius so everything is fucked up and you get to see the aftermath.

I understand you sentiment, as I too, was startled by Newt dying, but it served to highlight the overbearing brutality and viciousness prevalent in the Alien Franchise. Alien 3 was very emotional because Newt and Ripley died, but I was impressed at the decision and especially how it was handled in Alien 3. I am a huge Ripley/Sigourney Weaver fan, so it was very emotionally resonant.

They wrote ten different drafts of the script for alien 3. I read the one that features Ripley, Hicks, Newt, and Bishop making back to Earth where they have to fight off the aliens in a space station. It was going to be a two part story. They should have gone with that script. Alien 3 ruined the franchise. But I do like how the game makes it that Hicks is alive.
I read the comics that came out in the late 80s that were about the further adventures of newt and hicks. Now that hicks is alive maybe they'll start a new comic series
So the ship made it to fury 161 and back to lv426 in 17weeks, we dunno what happened there, other than chewbacca hit the fucken hyperdrive big time. Plus Hadley's hope is in surprisingly good shape after a 40 megaton blast, which seemingly did negligible damage. Not to mention the other plot holes so big you could sail an aircraft carrier through them. My 3 year old comes up with more convincing tales playing with his lego.

I got the pre-order with the SHARP Stick. My friend also purchased a regular version. We co-oped together for the campaign. I was so full of excitement. Aliens is one of my favorite franchises. I enjoyed the Easter Eggs. The hints at the original movie. A lot of the graphics and set designs were cool. There were quite a few scares and tense moments. As the story progressed, however, my level of anger steadily rose. The story was becoming predictable. There was glitch after glitch. The AI was a bigger enemy than the bugs or the Xenos. The ending I knew was coming. The writing over all was just terrible. It made no sense. I could write a better story than this. When it was all over, I sat there in silent rage. Wasted that money for this garbage?! I felt lied to. This game was nothing like the demo. Apparently many agreed with me because at least two lawsuits were taken out against SEGA for false advertisement. Even Michael Biehn (Hicks) didn't like the game. It nearly killed my love for Aliens. When Alien Isolation came out, I was cautiously optomistic. It turned out to be a great leap forward! That's why when Aliens Fireteam came and I jumped for it. Fireteam was better, but still had/has many problems both with the story and technical issues. It was still much better than Colonial Marines, and I continue to play Fireteam today. I wasted $60 on Colonial Marines, a game I played for 32 total hours. What a rip off!
Fireteam is pretty fun! Pulse Rifle could be a bit stronger like it is in Colonial Marines and in the movies but aside from that I think it's a solid game :)
It matured in her for too long, besides, Alien: Resurrection takes place 200 years after Alien 3, and that wasn't the real Ripley, it was a clone with Xeno DNA, she could likely survive the retrieval, Bella, on the other hand, is just a normal human with no enhanced Xeno DNA.
This game is so unintentionally hilarious. Bad graphics, bad story and bad development. Had been fanatically waiting for its release but this one turned out to be a real bummer.
When the queen alien is pushed out of the hole in the ship why does it fall? It should carry on floating horizontally. They really took care and payed extreme attention to detail. The story and setting had potential and could have been great. Revisiting Hadleys Hope was awesome but, ultimately they done fucked up!

yeah and sadly it ended up in a paperback novel which turned out to be a 3 part series, Earth Hive, Nightmare Asylum and Female Wars. ripley was in the book, but they changed all the characters names, Hicks was Wilkes, Newt was Billie and ripley was still ripley but in the end we found out she was actually an android, so many plot holes left in the open nobody knows what the fuck went on.
I want them to go in-depth more with Wayland Wayland Industries and Weyland-Yutani on a business end I have the corporate timeline and everything but he would be amazing to figure out like what this guy did and how he was able to do all these patents it was one of those stories that made me want to start my own business I would love to emulate what he did

what is sad is we will NEVER get the sequel to this game. While it was a bit crappy to make it xenos vs humans, it was a fun horror induced game, the VA did pretty good on their roles....what makes me sad is we'll NEVER see how it turns out. Do the USCM go to war with the Weyland-Yutani mercs? Did we see the end of the Xenomorphs? what happens on Earth that lead to Paris being desolated at the end of Alien Ressurection? we'll never know...only what we make out of fan fiction and hope someone does pick up where this left off.. :(

AVP (2010), Alien: Colonial Marines and Alien Isolation..... the best one for me was AVP (2010).
You should play AvP 2 (2001), widely regarded by fans as the best of the AvP games.

Did we see the end of the Xenomorphs? what happens on Earth that lead to Paris being desolated at the end of Alien Ressurection? we'll never know...only what we make out of fan fiction and hope someone does pick up where this left off.. :(
