Great video! Loved the breakdown and seeing your beautiful apartment. We've always heard great things about PDC and it's so useful to know the costs of things there. Excited to see your Mérida video!
Great content, wondering where you find these lower cost accommodations. Not finding anything similar in airbnb site? Even staying for longer durations.
Thanks for watching! We found all of our accommodations for Mexico on AirBnB. We did however, book them all about 9 months or so in advance which may have helped keep the cost down. If you have any other questions let me know!
This is a tough question because each city is amazing in different ways. Mazatlan was definitely the least expensive of the two. There also seemed to be way less North American tourists in Mazatlan. In my opinion, and this is only my opinion, I would choose Mazatlan to visit over PDC. However, I also loved PDC. Mazatlan just felt more like “real” Mexico. What I mean by that is there was a lot less English spoken in Mazatlan and less “commercialized” restaurants in Mazatlan. PDC seems to really cater to tourists, which isn’t a bad thing, I just preferred the Mazatlan way of life a bit better. I also really enjoyed the mountains around Mazatlan. You honestly can’t go wrong with either city though. We loved our time in both. How this answers your question! Thank you so much for watching!
You are correct about that. We just rent for one month at each location and then move on to the next. You can save a ton by staying longer in a location. Thank you so much for watching!
We really enjoyed both PDC and PV. The views of the mountains surrounding PV are spectacular but the beaches in PDC are a bit better. (If there isn’t any sargassum washed up on the shoreline) Food is great in both locations! If you have any more questions about the cities please let me know. Thanks for watching!
I am moving there this month after visiting a few times. I have to go claim my temporary resident card. Great video 🎉 And yes, Bacalar is also 🥰
Happy to hear you are in the final stages of permanent living in Mexico! Thanks for the kind words and enjoy your new home!

What's your favorite place to live in Mexico?
Good question! If I HAD to choose, I would choose Mazatlan. The malecon, beaches, views, and locals were simply amazing.
@@JasonandMelissaTravel thanks.
Do you like Mazatlan or PDC better? Why?

You can definitely live cheaper if you join a local Facebook group for long term rentals and stay in a locals neighborhood rather than expat areas.

🎉cheers!Thank you and little bit jealous, but in a good way! Do you like Playa del Carmen or PUERTO Vallarta aria?
