Hi,Renata. This is Hisashi from Rosarito. Thank you for a nice report. Your report is always well made. I can enjoy the video as if I am really traveling. Ocean is very beautiful! I want visit to cenote sometime in the near future.
One of my favorite cities in, so far my favorite states in Mexico, Quintana Roo. I spent a year in the state before and during the beginning of the pandemic, I was happy to be grounded there by the airlines. At least 8 months of my stay was in PDC. This video tour is making me want to return to the area soon than planned. In PDC, I stayed mostly in the areas where the locals lived during the part of my time living there.
@@RenataPereiraTVI think you did a great job, so much changes in a short time since the pandemic, places, like one of my favorite taco vendors located on the other side of town might not still exist. Though I've been back to Quintana Roo, I was last in PDC Sept of 2020. When I returned to QR, I stayed another few months, but, mostly spent that time in Cancun, Tulum and Isla Mujeres. I haven't been back to QR since early 2021. Next time I returned to Mexico, I was in Puerto Vallarta and a few other cities in Jalisco. I had to finally force myself to visit another country, but, my heart belongs to Mexico.
i love the cheese that they use for quesadillas. cenote azul looks good. didn’t have the chance to check it out when we were there but we visited cenote cristalino and cenote eden. they’re both amazing. cenote eden is great for snorkeling and cliff jumping. love your videos. very informative. can’t wait to go back.
I knew exactly what Gordon meant when he said “Cabo Frio warm”. I was in Rio in January when it was 100 degrees out and let’s just say the water was brisk. Looking forward to the Cancun video.
Thank You Renata as always another good one from you and Gordon and i was wondering of all the beaches that you have been to which one did you like the most ?
To be honest...September is peak hurricane season...August/Sept/Oct. Now hurricanes are rare but for an anniversary I would hate that to be spoilt.. Late Nov into March is probably your best time weather...Mar/Apr is spring break with all the college kids and then moving into June is when chances of sargassum are high because of warmer seas. Islands further south in the Caribbean are outside the storm path...that may be a better bet.
Great series on Mexico. Just booked our 30th anniversary trip to Cancun and Playa Del Carmen with plans for a side trip to Tulum. Any advice for renting a car (from the airport) and taking stops along the way to Tulum?
Thank you gary I appreciate that. Congratulations! I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I would reconsider Tulum. There seems to be a turf war there and if true, even it's citizens were telling tourists to stay away. This was several months ago so I would definitely Google search the latest news. We skipped it at the time. I can not speak to renting a car on the main land as in our videos we took the inter city bus.
@@RenataPereiraTV Thanks for the quick response. We were just planning only to visit the Mayan Ruins near Tulum as that's a closer drive to Playa Del Carmen. I'll keep an eye on the US State Dept Travel Advisory which as of now doesn't have it as a high-risk area. travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/mexico-travel-advisory.html
Aww! That's so sweet, thanks! I got it on Amazon. There's a direct link on my Amazon store if that makes it easier 😉: www.amazon.com/shop/renatapereira
We asked in our hotel where to get a “colectivo “ to Cenote Azul (it’s the same that goes to Tulum). We got most of the directions right, but got lost at the end, as the terminal is a little hidden, so we just asked around. There’s a proper terminal (you don’t need to get it out on the street), but I forgot the name of the place. Still, it’s easy to find when you ask around 😊
If you want to try something different next time, there is a Restaurant/bar/disco more in town named Alux (named after the kind of "elves" in the zone), it is under ground in a cavern similar to the ones that create the cenotes but with out water.
