Thanks For Watching! ...and Enjoy the Video!
Some of the best lightning catches I have ever seen and heard
Omg love your vid and compilations ✨
I don't think that I've ever encountered so many close lightning strikes occurring so closely together in one thunderstorm! Wow! Nice capture, my friend!
I got scared just listening to this in my headphones..lol I can't begin to imagine the reality of experiencing this very dangerous storm first hand! Much respect for you guys in Tomball TX
Yeah, this was not at all what I expected from the weather lineup. Knew it was gonna be nasty, but not that bad. It was a heck of an experience though
I was in texas back in june rollin deep thunder whole sky was having huge bolts of lightning
@@southplainsrailfan8697 Great video
Wow that's an awesome video, easily one of the worst storms I've seen on here, can't get over how dark the sky is and how bright the lightning is. I love the way you slowed up some of the lightning strikes so we can see the lightning flash in detail from beginning to end as it was so fast and furious in real time. Some awesome lightning strikes there 👏
Now that's "truly" dangerous lightning.
Technically all lightning is dangerous but this is like stepping out will be instant death
Lot’s of fried TV’s, Modems, laptops and anything else not unplugged .
What a storm !! Imagine how powerful sounds the thunder
Yeah I stood out there for a while but it got a little too close for comfort. Which says a lot because I usually don’t get to weary of weather but this storm was out of control, I let the camera sit outside while I sat behind the door and watched In awe
I’m afraid of lightning I hate it I have trauma of it when I was a kid
Lightning hit this tree near my
House
@@robertmiles8766 oddly enough after the tree 3 houses down took a hit while I was outside dodging the storm it grew my interest in weather
@@robertmiles8766 thank god you and your family are alive
@@southplainsrailfan8697 , the sound dropped down due to the shockwave of the thunder, which means the microphone affected by the shock and it's too loud to comfort
I have relatives in Tomball and all over the Houston metro. I've been hearing all day about that storm. Not one you'll forget.
Really, that's cool. Yeah I will certainly never forget that storm
It's truly wild just how close some of those strikes were! I'm used to summertime freak storms here in Michigan, but our storms are nothing compared to Texas and Florida.
That was quite a storm. The bangs and crumps of thunder were tripping over one another.
Yeah this storm was probably the most intense I’ve seen in terms of lightning
Pro trick : you can watch series on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Tanner Colson Yup, been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D
@Tanner Colson yup, been watching on flixzone} for months myself :)
@@southplainsrailfan8697reminds me of july 2021, in georgia we dont get these type of storms, but that one day in july it was nothing but claps after claps.
Man, I've been in a storm or two like this where you almost feel offended, like the damn storm is targeting you with all those CGs lol. Awesome video
One of the best Lightning and Thunder show I have ever seen!! The Strike at 3:00 is really close!! Tks for this video! 👍👍
2:12 “This is incredible” I agree, my guy. That’s intense!
Hey, I think the last time we had such intense lightning, was during the first night of hurricane Harvey.
Yeah I got a few big ones that morning but after that it just rained at my house.
Thank you for sharing footage of the storm. I know folk in Covington Texas n they said the had storms too and loads of rain.
Over here in east central Scotland we never get good storms. The odd rumble of thunder n flashes of lightening every few months n that’s it.
I loving watching storm cells develop.
Thanks again
This year has been one of the most intense with lightning! A couple of other storms last month tried to break this storms personal record
That sure is the worst, most dangerous lightning I've ever seen! I would have been petrified 😱
You and me both
We just had a storm like this, come through my town about a week ago. Was 3 in the afternoon and it got dark like it was night.
Man i wish we had thunder like this is Denmark :( so beautiful
Nice to see an actual genuine thunder storm and not a total fake sleep thing, thankyou.
AWESOME AINT IT?
Scary stuff almost filled my underpants watchin the real time clips. Really admire how brave you are.
We had a storm like this not long ago in Melbourne, Aus except the lightning we has was cloud to cloud mostly but the frequency was far greater. So the thunder was just continuous and you would hear 2 or 3 lots of thunder overlapping and it just ended up sounding like the earth was roaring at us.
Had that once down here in the Philippines too, one continuous roll of thunders one after the other
Fun facts: ozone is actually made by lightning striking.
Anytime you created an electric spark even with house current you can smell ozone
2:06 90 degree smooth channel lightning that was rare❤❤❤
Here in uk 🇬🇧 we don’t see thunderstorms that often but there was one yesterday at night
SiNgH iS kInG ture
Wow, that's really a dangerous thunderstorm. Very nice shots!
Now that is an extreme lightning barrage...over 5 in a row were right there on the block
Yes it was exactly that! Non stop close range strikes
Damn the way tht lightning pops, I’ll be hella scared
This is one of the few times I just let the camera stay outside while I watched from the window. Usually I don't care, but this was an exception. You from the Houston area?
Piney Woods Railfan nah I’m from Augusta Atlanta area.
Easily execeeding 110db at times, A VERY loud thunderstorm, I don't know how some can even sleep through something of this intensity, This is what we storm fans call a "lightning barrage", A series of close loud flashes and cracks of thunder in a short period of time, sometimes 2 strikes every second
"Whoa, that sounds thrilling! I’m ready for some jaw-dropping moments-did any of those strikes light up the sky like a fireworks finale?"
It's weird how the thunder didn't seem loud or extended. Odd sounding thunder. With that amount of lightning and especially those nearly xenon flashes I would expect explosions. Power of God on display right there.
The microphone on the camera peaked during the thunder because it was so loud. Didn’t sound to good on video but in person was crazy
We, in Vancouver, BC have clouds like that, but never have a thunderstorm.
Hmm, we get thunderstorms frequently in summer from the gulf coast sea breeze, but when storm systems collide with the moisture inflow it gets crazy. This was an example of that.
@@southplainsrailfan8697Hmm, I never knew that. Maybe I will move there for a week when I am a bit older in the summer, so I can witness a kinda strong thunderstorm.
Abicus Rex the storm in this video is a bit of a rarity, it’s my personal record for lightning consistency and closeness but this year has had some others that get close to claiming that title
In new Zealand, we get Nothing like this. I've only seen one lightning strike in real life, but this is amazing!
God bless Tx ......I have family that lived in DFW area for a time an they always told me every time a storm builds they have a unique style all there own an never the same as the last.......truly remarkable an very deadly......thank you for sharing
I remember that day. It stormed down the coast, too. Why don't they put patio covers on homes here anymore? I know mine isn't custom but has a chimney.
Thank you uploading. It has been amazing to watch. The strike at 2:59/3:00, was that directly overhead? We never have storms like this in the UK.
That strike at 3:00 is a few houses down. So yeah very close
Voice in the Wilderness because it’s never warm or hot in the Uk
@@saiftarek1683 it is warm in the summer we get near 100° heat around London and we do get storms like this occasionally and they are fun to watch
Awesome lightning storm! Nice video!!
Thanks!
Did you lose power at all during the storm? I would be highly surprised if you didn't. Anyways, great capture! Haven't seen a storm like this in Minnesota in years.
We had a brief flicker of lights. Yeah I was shocked too that our power didn’t go out. We’ve had less eventful weather knock it out
Superb lightning! Love the colouring too!
Thanks! I love how lightning has different colors based on atmospheric conditions and how thunder has so many variations in sound.
It's beautiful to see God's creation at work ⚡☔
It absolutely is! True raw power here
Why are all the thunderclaps overlapping other thunderclaps, that sounds scary as hell
We don't get storms like that where I live. Thanks for sharing. :)
Interesting! No problem! This year has been one of the most intense for lightning, a couple storms this last month have tried to take the title from this personal record breaker
Same here and i hate it
how many houses did lightning hit?
where i leave, a "severe" storm have 2-5 lightnings. and was used to happend once in 10 years (now are 3-4 by year, and every time are getting a little worse). But this is terrifiying!!!
Wow fabulous beautiful wow beautiful capturing lighting thunderstorm ⛈️⛈️💐 I love lighting bolts ⚡☔ thunderstorm heavy rains 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Now These Are the Type of Storms that Use To Scare The Heck Out Of Me But Now They Don't Frightened Me At All Thanks For Posting this Beautiful Thunderstorm Video Love It💜💜👍🏿👍🏿
What app are you using on your phone?
I use RadarScope. It cost $10.00 but it’s worth it to me.
its wonderful its hardly to experience such here in kenya but it used to when i was young in 80s.
It was an amazing experience
What camera did you use? GoPro?
Great footage. Cool to watch. The power of mother nature is amazing. We dont get severe storms like that in the part of Jersey I live in. It's too bad, because I love T-storms.
Hi Piney,
Truly amazing video. What a crazy storm with an abnormal high number and density of cloud to ground lightning. Very agressive thunderstorm. Reminds me of my time in Oklahoma when we had some agressive storms too. Thanks for uploading.
May I ask one question? Would you be so kind to upload the whole video (without the slow-mo's?) That would be so awesome! One of the best thunderstorms video's on the internet so far! Thanks!
Regards,
Koos (from the Netherlands). :)
An epic storm and some amazing clips. Maybe film from indoors when it's that bad though.
Well I started out filming under the garage and on the back porch but when it got crazy I left the film going while I waited inside
That's sick holy moly xD But extrem nice and greetings from germany :)
Hello from Russia, I'm like. Good video
Thanks!
Who else got scared and screamed so loud up to their lungs when a thunderstorm came nearby? I did!
Due to the intense rain, it muffles the sound of thunder early before it reaches, Unless it is a very close one ...
Based on the timing between the flash & sound - many of those were approximately 300 meters away ... which is dangerously close.
Most of those were negative charges based on the cracking noise rather than being boomy.
It is a dangerous sign when you see / hear constant barrages of lightning closeby with loud thunder.
Keep yourself always sheltered from those.
Love the awesome shape of thunderclouds that have that flat bottom appearance!!
Wow was that all the footage? Nice
all the footage I recorded yes
Great thunder & lightning!!!! We get so few storms like that here anymore.
This is going in my quality lightning folder
Narley Catch, thanks for sharing
Thanks! There was no way i wasn’t going to share something this incredible
Last time there was a storm like this, we had to get a new fridge. It wasn't on this day, though. I live 60 miles from Tomball and most activity stayed south of us.
Surprised our ac didn’t get struck again. It’s been struck twice in the last 5 years
Holycow.. almost 3 min in and damnnnn so much close strikes!!! I would be shitting my pants hahaha.
Amazing capture 🙂 I love that 🌩️⛈️
What app are you using on your cell phone please.
We had 60+ mph winds in port Arthur Thursday night/ early Friday morning, and plenty of lightning. Everyone lost power and they had to cancel school
Wow, we just had a similar thing happen last night here.
some crazy weather sure is going around here lol.... great strikes!!
thanks! Always love a good storm!
Great video!!
Thanks!
Wow..that was wickedly impressive!!!😱⚡⚡
Can someone explain pls what creates such a high intensity of lightning? It seems a higher humidity and lower cloud base seem to help.
Search me. I've read several thousand words explaining lightning/thunder and I still don't get it.
One hint: I am *POSITIVE* that every strike was a blue bolt! 😳😂
Wow. I dont think I've ever seen lightning strikes like so close together and the thunder trying to top the other thunder
That area looks very familiar. Is it near Scotch pine st?
Actually near Hufsmith and Kuykendahl
Believe it or not: thunderstorms in Brazil are becoming worse too
Yeah this year has been one of the most intense for lightning! A couple storms this last month had tried to break this storms record
what time of evening did this take place?
Hey Railfan, do you have an email address we can use to contact you regarding this video? I'd love to discuss a license to use this if possible! Cheers, Felix
Stunning storm!
Good God, one after another. Freaking love this!
O my god that was a good one very good thunder storm and the lightning was amazing
Dude I remember this storm. The lightning was crazy
Imagine this happening at 1 AM
I wonder what was being hit so much behind that house!!
Did u lose power cause one second I saw ur light on next it went out
This type pf intense lightning is very common here in Thar Pakistan between June to September. we get Thousands of lightning strikes here. And intensity is increasing every year thanks to global warming.
A few years ago when we were new to boating we got stuck in a massive thunder storm with lightning striking the lake around us I honestly thought we were gonna die
Honestly I wish there were more big storms where I live but in the past few summers they just randomly dissolve
Where is this? Sure ain’t Tomball
The reason it gets super intense at where you are right now is because the cloud that is over your head has a ton of lightning thats why.
Now that is a dangerous one :D
It was. This was the only time I felt like the probability of being struck on the porch was possible
I 💕 love rains ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️☔☔☔☔☔💕💕💕💕
Wow! wow! wow! wow! Oh my gosh wow! This in intense man
OH MY FUCKIN GOD! the lightning is FUCKIN TERRIBLE!. Poor people who live there bless them NO one and NO country in the hole world should have to go through that or anything else like that at all.
The sky is energized.. Wake up people..
That storm definitely had some supercellular characteristics. Not surprising though since that was in May.
1:32 1:33 1:34 1:35
1:49 1:50 1:51 1:52
2:00 2:01 2:02
you need camera with better mic
Oh if I had to deal with that I'd have a panic attack. My first ever lightning storm that I remember when I was five my brother kept telling me I was gonna get struck. Then, the barn we were at got struck. Been horrified of them ever since. I hate storms!
You would’ve hated this storm, I generally don’t get to fearful of lightning but after the first big cluster I let the camera roll on the patio while I sat inside. That much lightning is to risky
I love severe storms like this one. I just have one request: Would you please consider recording continuously without breaking up the audio in the future? It's more natural this way. Thank you so very, very much.
I wish we had storms like that in Western NY
We get some good lightning storms from time to time, but this was the most intense I've seen.
Be careful what you wish for.
I was at school when this happened I’m in magnolia tx right next to tomball shit got crazy that day
This happened at 6pm on a weekday. I just got back from a College Orientation when it blew in. Ran up and grabbed my gear and there it was. We did have a tornado pass by Tomball High School before the end of the year. It was fun watching everyone panic for nothing lol
Beautiful storm ⚡️⚡️👌
I’m from the Bay Area never seen anything like this damn
Hell yeah bay area dawg I used to live in milpitas dawg
I'm getting vibes of that one scene in Geostorm
I like that, Think you man💯😉👍🔥🔥🔥
I was seriously considering moving to houston but that's too much..at least n indianapolis we dont really have serious thunderstorms like that
Yup that’s Houston for ya 😂 by Gulf of Mexico ocean. Dem summer storms too
When I saw the thumbnail of this video before I clicked on it, I thought this thunderstorm was at night
Your thunder is mad loud, sounds like rocks in the sky😂 I'm kidding, but it really does,I've been around areas that have thunder like that, aka Virginia Beach
Thunder always sounds different here in Houston
