F-150 Lariat Special Edition - Attempting to refurbish factory Vinyl Graphics

Racer X Garage Episode 151: It has come to my attention that the factory hood graphic on my 2018 F-150 Lariat Special Edition has become worse for the wear. Before I plunk down almost $500 on a new vinyl graphic, lets see if there is anything I can do to restore the finish!
Do you have any additional tips, tricks or suggestions before I bite the bullet and purchase a new decal? Leave them in the comments below. Perhaps I’ll try one or two!

My truck had a wind deflector on it when I bought it. When I removed it, it peeled a corner of the hood decal….I almost threw up when I saw how much that mistake cost me :/

sorry i can't help you but if it was mine a would put a light coat of flat paint on it or try some black shoe polish or that black chrome polish keep at it you'll get it

there is a vinyl place up the street, going to see if they can suggest something

Good old WD-40 should bring back that shine

Might have to try a small spot, we'll see! I was considering some ceracoat

Try some cherry flash wax.

Wax dry and leave unwanted marks. In his case, the surface that originally was mat polished over time and theres no way back.

I had the same exact truck and year. Do you ever hear a rattle in the engine when you first start it when it's been sitting for awhile ?
