The German father looks strikingly alike Karl May, a famous author of adventure books in the late 19th and first third of the 20th century. He hardly ever left Saxony and traveld to the USA once, when he was in his 50ies and already a famous author. However he claimed to be the real life hero of the novels he published, using " alter egos": Kara ben Nemsi for adventures set in the Ottoman Empire, and Old Shatterhand when in the Wild West. This rather unusual, over the top setting in RDR2, with a gold mine, outlaws holding a family ransom, a wilde shootout, is exactly how an episode in one of the Western novels of Karl May might have turned out.
I seriously doubt the Andreas Muller in RDR is the same one in RDR2. They're personalities don't match up. RDR2 Muller seems more mild mannered and educated and family oriented. RDR Muller is more arrogant, pompous, and tempered; plus, if he owned a gold mine why would he be gambling and playing cards and not with his family???
Yea, well alot of years have passed, alot could've happend why he lost his family and became a more bitter man. Though I also feel like if they were the same person they'd make it more clear. Like make him bald in rdr2 or give him the same moustache(same colour) or atleast let him mention Mexico, so we could make that connection to rdr1. Maybe something along the lines of "America has been too dangerous, maybe we should try our luck in Mexico"
@edwardx979 All right, I'm of the opinion that Andreas Muller IS Andreas Muller. Too many things line up. Even the differences parallel each other. Taking what we know about him in 2 we can map the trajectory his life took to get to 1. He's gone from being a gold mine owner to a silver prospector. So, still in the precious metal mining business, but it's a step down. For a rich man it's the equivalent of falling on hard times. Any poorer and he'd be working for Jameson Coal up in Annesburg. If his bad fortune was the result of getting screwed over by a partner (See also Governor Griffin vs Nate Harlow, Red Dead Revolver), that would make just about anybody paranoid, short fused, and with a previously unknown reserve of hostility. Hence, Andreas as we see him in RDR1. No more Mister Nice Guy, ja? And also if he's down on his luck, its entirely likely that his gambling is an attempt to supplement his income. Nothing is said about his own family in 1, but in the same conversation Landon Ricketts mentions his own wife dying so we can guess at the likely subject of what they were talking about. Now, it's not known for sure whether Andreas lost his own wife or not or when, but they DID kind of bring a tubercular man into their house which, though good and kind of them, might NOT necessarily be a wise thing to do.
@@ChrisMathers3501Personalities don't match. I suppose you can argue He'd change after his wife's passing, but I don't think He'd wanna hunt down Sanchez in Mexico. Lol

I love that this German family has found its way into the games - because I am German and my name is actually Andreas as well. But the depiction of the family is unfortunately overly clichéd and suggests that all Germans look like traditional Bavarians (Bavaria is one of the 16 German states). Moreover, the appearance of mother and daughter with the blond hair and braids reminds me of the darkest years of German history ... By the way, Andreas and his family are not from Bavaria, because they speak High German, that is, without (Bavarian) dialect.
How are their clothes Bavarian? They just look like normal 19th century clothes. Also most native German kids have blonde hair even if it gets darker with age.
This is unrelated but I thought it was interesting. If you fast travel and get a cutscene in the Heartlands at night (in my case I fast travelled from van Horn to the oilfields) you can see light from the UFO and the UFO in the distance

I almost had a heart attack at 8:20 when I saw the photo. It looks like the spitting image of Princess Isabeau. It's the identical blouse... or so I thought. When looking back in color, the German woman's shirt is blue, while the princess has one that is pink. Nevertheless, they do look very similar (minus the birthmark). Too bad the timeline doesn't fit. The princess would be 20 at this time, which is way too young for her to have a daughter that age. Anyway, I thought it would still be fun to share my thoughts.
I still think it's weird to have the German family show up when he collapses in the middle of nowhere. And why does Arthur wake up lying on street alone afterwards? Did they really just dump him out on the street unconscious like that? I was kinda hoping you'd be able to explain these things in the video.
@@ventox1054The official writing and models say otherwise. Ok the two franchises being in the same universe would be epic but they can't be. GTA already has fictional names for real life cities. RDR2 calls the cities by their real life names. New York is brought up multiple times in RDR2. And, as we know, GTA 4 takes place in Liberty City. But who knows, maybe they'll just say that the city changed it's name or something.
they could be talking about the state of New York. In gta they also call states by their real names, Florida, California, etc. None of the rdr2 cities names exists.
@@lucasmorais4471 They never ever said California in GTA as far as I know. The reason for that is because GTA 5 takes place in the fictional state of San Andreas which is on the west coast and where Los Santos is.

Why?

Same with bounties like Benedict Albright and Ellie Swan or what her name was . In one video I saw that you can carry Benedict Albright around New Austin to avoid getting shot by the invisible sniper. He just shoots Benedict all the time but he doesn't die.
Man I know we'll never see anything from Arthur again😢 but I love RDR2 story so much that im glad they connecting it to the same universe.
the second tatoo means “not angry” अक्रुद्धम् “akruddham” which is comprosed of two parts: अ (a) meaning un- or not, and क्रुद्ध (kruddha) meaning angry

My great-great grandparents were German immigrants who came here during the time that this game actually takes place.
This game brought you back to your roots, neat.
A vid dissecting what universes GTA/ Red Dead are in/ if they’re different ones would be cool
Wow that's a cool detail i never would have known about the German family, nice research!
Finally a new video from you! 🤩
I know Arthur ain't real in the sense of flesh but I still tear up knowing he went out like that..."karma is real whether it's good karma or bad , it's a law of the universe"
We been waiting for a new video for u strange men appreciate 🙏🏾
अक्रुद्धम् In second tattoo means I WASN'T ANGRY 12:07
I remember in a discussion about RDR2 sequel/spinoff possibilities I suggested Jack Marston being a private detective in 1920s San Andreas (possibly partnering with Sadie), and so many people jumped up my butt saying GTA and RDR are not in the same universes.
It still isn't connected. You probably make some shit up and later claim its a theory when in fact it isn't. If you actually do research before "theorizing" then you'd know the factors debunking this belief are more than those supporting it.
@@KC.45so the devs just decided to put the same frickin family in 2 different games because of what? Lack of creativity? Also the Book Red Dead by J. Marston? What is it?

i hate how this game went from an awesome open world to scam youtubers milking the hell out of this game for money and this is the only person left that makes good videos on the game
8:23 that’s the house at Emerald Ranch!
This is unrelated but I thought it was interesting. If you fast travel and get a cutscene in the Heartlands at night (in my case I fast travelled from van Horn to the oilfields) you can see light from the UFO and the UFO in the distance
These parallels are very interesting indeed
2:06 so Arthur does speak german
The voice-actor studied that language for a short while, according to another comment.
When they were helping Arthur it made me tear up
RDR2 and GTA5 shared universe CONFIRMED.
Nice, everyone is going along with this without even caring for the lore of RDR.
No they are not. City names are different this is something you cannot ignore they are not in the same universe

I think that mabye Andreas (Jr) his kid grows up to be him that John Marston kills, thats why his grandson from GTA would have a potential picture of John depicting his grandfathers killer in the dark, in the Cayo Perico heist

The German family is another of those assets, they depict El Rubio's ancestors but they're not the same characters, because they are just reused.

अनुगच्छतु वमनम्- Follow vomiting
अक्रुद्धम् - I wasn’t angry ( from Google translate and it's in Sanskrit )
I still think it's weird to have the German family show up when he collapses in the middle of nowhere. And why does Arthur wake up lying on street alone afterwards? Did they really just dump him out on the street unconscious like that? I was kinda hoping you'd be able to explain these things in the video.
Arthur left their house when he regained consciousness. Afterwards, he kept walking and passed out again.
not to have a next gen version of RDR2 is the same missed opportunity as creating a whole new map area just for 2 missions.....
Second Tatoo translated by Google translate says “I Wasn’t Angry” 1st was translated to “Follow Vomiting”
Greetings from a german Techno producer 😜 Great episode!
If this leaks are really True about Universe i hope we will get a some missions from someone named marston. That would be cool
They are not in the same universe because in rdr they mention Citys like new york which is liberty city in gta and california which is san andreas
@@ventox1054The official writing and models say otherwise. If El Rubio didn't talk about His grandfather was German and the gold in His mansion, then these connections wouldn't have ever been talked about. To add, I'm pretty sure Luisa talks about renaming a area in Mexico to Nuveo Pariso, so there's that.
@@Vanerov no liberty city was named New Rotterdam when it was founded and New York was named New Amsterdam. Its not the same universe those are just easter eggs
@@ventox1054It is the same universe, what you're saying isn't even changing it. When a official character as written dialogue that allows the connection to be cemented, the connection is cemented. Official dialogue is official dialogue. If it was merely Easter Eggs, it wouldn't have any written dialogue, just some photographs or messages.
@@ventox1054I wasn't implying it was Nuevo Pariso, I'm cementing the idea that locations can be renamed, as proven by literal official dialogue.

Could you please make a video abt all random camp encounters with strangers? The ones that you sit on their camp to talk.
I've been asking for it a long time now
The second tattoo is ‘Akruddham’, in Sanskrit. Kruddham means I’m angry, so probably Akruddham means I’m not angry, or something similar to that.
I'm just glad Vice City is getting more love. That was my favorite.
The two tattoes are written in Sanskrit, in which the second one is actually "अक्रुद्धत" which originally means "not to be angry"

Good comment
Ok the two franchises being in the same universe would be epic but they can't be. GTA already has fictional names for real life cities. RDR2 calls the cities by their real life names. New York is brought up multiple times in RDR2. And, as we know, GTA 4 takes place in Liberty City. But who knows, maybe they'll just say that the city changed it's name or something.
How?
Manhunt is in the GTA World but its unclear for Bully or Red dead.
they could be talking about the state of New York.
Wunderbar ❤

I believe the younger kid is el Rubio's grandpa, but I also think Andreas is the same Andreas from rdr1 simply because of the scar across the left side of both of their faces

while I was giving the father a ride back to his family, i shot some random passerby and he just watched while I looted the body, picked it up and threw it into the bushes
Good. Just in time for Oktoberfest.
I think there could also be a connection between Tilly Jackson in RDR2 and Tanisha Jackson in GTAV but there's no evidence for that besides same last name and looking similar
Because... they are both black.... look similar...?
@@KC.45If you knew logic, He's implying they may be related due to looking similar, right? It's not untrue that family members are known to bare similarities. While this isn't agreeing with the original comment, all the guy is simply doing is adding that point, because family members do look similar.
The German woman sounds like an authentic German speaker. The man on the other hand...he is either a bad voice actor and overemphazises words for that reason or he isn't a native speaker.
Edit: I think it's option 1, his German is far too clear to be a non-native speaker.
