Thank you! It's a gloomy day and I'm feeling gloomy about this whole thing, so your comment means more than you know.

The Rode Videomic NTG and the Videomic GO II can also be used as USB mics. The good thing is not that you can record into your PC, but that you can record into your phone via USB thus bypassing the audio circuitry of the phone so that you can record pro quality audio direct into your smartphone.

Good to know! I don't actually have much experience with Rode gear, other than their Go II wireless system. I figured there must be some others out there besides the D4.

Could you please square off the Joby Wavo Mobile, Deity D4 Mini, and the Boya BY-MM1+? I'm on a shoestring budget with a media pass for doing interviews at live events. I want something I can use in a hotel on a laptop, on my phone for walking and talking, and on my GoPro for table interviews. Thank you. Your videos are great. -Daniel

I only have one of those three! I did do a video that compares three mini shotgun mics: Deity D4 Mini, a Movo one and another from CAD Audio. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/tAtyWfF9EDQ/v-deo.html

@@MatthewHaines I'm going with the Deity after a long series of videos I watched. I just saw that Ulanzi has a similar product to the Røde Wireless Go II. I wonder how they sound. They're much cheaper.

@@AwesomeHotSauceandKristosCast the Deity mini will serve you well. I have no experience with the Ulanzi. However I’ve tested quite a few wireless systems and sound quality varies greatly. To SOME extent you get what you pay for, but there are some inexpensive gems. Listen for distortion (more common than it should be) and frequency response. Make sure you can return them if need be. Let me know how they sound.

Wow great job on this video. Don’t know why you don’t have more views but keep up the good work!

Thank you! I ask myself the same question pretty regularly. :) Thanks for watching.

@@MatthewHaines Oversaturated YT. There's billions of channels on this platform, and their automation cherry picks who they bring up in the search results. In 2012 everyone was seen on YT, but it's a different animal now.
