Daughter gave me one for Christmas and it's very enjoyable. The day after glass smell is still wonderful. Oak and fruit, not in your face, but full.
Had to resubscribe to you guys. Started watching you guys ....3 years ago. My wife asked me if she should be worried when she caught me taste testing 4 bottles against each other in whisky glasses. 15 yr old glenfiddich , 15 yr glenlivet, lagavulin 16 and johnnie Walker blue.
I calmly explained to her that it was a taste test and all would be alright. Lagavulin reminds me of my grandmothers house. But not in a good way. Old dusty house. A hundred moles digging up her black soiled yard and mustiness. Yet... I learned to appreciate it. Blue was the first bottle gone. I’d hold it for awhile.. like a Worthers original in my mouth. Just wanted to say I enjoyed the ride-a-long with you guys since it sucks to drink alone and my friends are into smoking.... let’s just say I live in Michigan and they chose a different recreational course of action.

I got batch 3323 as a gift a few years back and will open it for a special occasion. I’ve had this at a restaurant once and really enjoyed it. Now I’m looking forward to that special occasion.
Understand this is an old v post however I recommend if you’re doing re-visits especially on small batches, you clarify if you’re re-visiting the same bottle, batch or year.
Glenfiddach is such a well priced scotch and approachable pallet, I was eyeballing the 23 last week. But haven't had the 18 yet and love bananas 🤔
The 18 is Good, but I prefer the 15 over the 18.. And in my case, if I’m going to spend 100 dollars plus tax for a bottle,it has to be more than a 2.5 rating ( 3 minimum ) otherwise is overpriced to my palate and wallet standards. Great videos guys..I enjoy your channel ! Thanks
I had two bottles of this. Really like the first bottle and it blew the 18 yr Glenlivet away. Dollar for dollar the 15yr is my choice for the Glenfiddich range; however I have not opened my 2012 cask of Dreams or the new 14yr bourbon cask. The 18yr is a bit too pricey here in Canada. At 180 I can get a number of better bottles in that value range. Great review guys.

This is such a solid 18 year old. A great value, and good whisky in the bottle.

$80 for mine had a couple. Middle to bottom is the sweet spot on this bottle

Glenmorangie 18 is right around $100 also. Would make a good head to head!
Derek Beckman in my case I prefer Glenmo 18 over this one .

I definitely enjoyed this bottle. Yes it may be batched, but I heard it was something like 150 casks per batch so I have a hard time calling it "small" batch. I guess it's all relative. Anyway, would have been nice to see at least 46% ABV version, but you know what 18 years old at $90 in my area, I won't fault it too much. Still a delicious whisky! I had heard somewhere that the ex-bourbon/oloroso split on the 12 year old is 90/10 and the 18 is 80/20. Not sure if true.
Glenfiddich r the most consiistant distillery in scotland that's a fact
Why the Triangular bottle? Well Mr. Grant was fed up with his night cap bottle rolling out of bed. So he created this shape so the bottle would not roll out of the bed when he took it with him for a night cap or so the distillery tour story goes - I kind of like it.
nice bottle for beginners introducing them to the world of single malts. not too expensive easily accessible 18yo age statement easy drinking dram.
You guys also did a Glenfiddich shootout about a 1-1/2 before this review. In that review Andrew absolutely gushed over the 18 ... much cooler toward it in this review.
for the same price and availability I’d go for glenlivet 18.
Im new to scotch and had a hard time deciding on which one between this Glenfiddich or the Glenlivet 18 and just went for both lol

This is the review where you say it's 43 % ? But in another video where you review the whole line up you said it's 40%
