Ahh my man! So happy to finally see your face! My 17 month old son and I watch and listen to you every morning when we get up to do our morning chores and breakfast routine. He dances and loves watching you, and I love watching him dance away, then just want to go and practice. More than just a guy behind a camera on UA-cam. Thanks man
Parts of your style of playing have crept into mine because passive theft is a thing , thank you. Your attack is off the charts and I absolutely love it. 👍
I agree with coconut.. It's great to see the face behind the fingers.. also, what a unique headstock. I thought it was a 5 string.. The tree was deceitful..lol .. great arrangement Remco !!
This bass arrangement made me think of how Boosty Collins played when he went solo from parliament and funkadelic, his Bootzilla album incorporates a lot of pedal work too! I remember decades ago buying a bass version of the Morley funk/was/sustain pedal, that pedal gave all the sounds you’re getting through multiple pedals. Great song !
Hell yeah. One of the best bass dudes around. Been following for years. Never disappoints and was one reason I needed to get me an Octave pedal. That sound. 🤩
one of my favorite bassists rn im currently a metal bassist in high school that loves funk and jazz and ur play style has really influenced me to play more fun stuff and improvise thank you man
Starting with metal does fantastic things to your speed and agility. I'm 53 with a lifetime of playing bass in MANY genres following up my metal HS era, and those "metal" chops have served me well. It's easy to drive masterfully at 65mph when you trained for 100+.
Once again you have pushed our pedals to the absolute max and the combination of Bass, Effect and Player has resulted in something truly incredible. Thank you Remco.
Ole Remco went from having dreads to make a Jamaican jealous to looking like a suburban bum. Man how times have changed, but the groove remains the same. Good work there. I've been watching your groovy videos for around a decade. You were the first person to make me want to try a fretless.
Blowing my mind as always. Love that little section in the middle where you just play with two notes for a few bars. Knowing when to dance all over the fretboard and when to just chill for a few bars is a real talent that a lot of musician's don't understand. Also, that harmonic section was sick. :-)
oh! with the crazy techniques and grooves and the lack of face, i always decided Remco was just a robot that plays far better than 99.999% of mere humans
Lovely growl to your bass here. The design on the bass itself is so cool as well. Is that the wood colour coming through in the design or is it painted? Either way i love it!
Glad you’re digging it! The finish on the body and headstock is made of copper lacquer, actual metal, the colouring comes from various degrees of oxidation by treatment. The green/blue is from heavier oxidation, the bronze is without. So that’s no paint, it’s a chemical reaction on copper, pretty cool. Cheers for stopping by!
Thanks! This is a custom build by Cortex Bass from Switzerland, you could order the same. The fretless maple Cortex from my recent videos is available as my signature model, 5 people own that bass so far. So mostly custom but available for sure!
Nice to finally see the face of the man behind all the grooves😊❤
hey, he had a face on first 25 video's on this channel. Check it!
…the beard…
He's shown his face many times before
Still can’t see his face, I see a beard and a cap 😊

Great skill n grooves ...
I can hear a lot of Primus sort of madness ... i used to love 'em in the early 90's ... true pioneers ...
Remco is like the dad from "Cow and Chicken" - you never see his face. But once. :D You are amazing, greetings from Bulgaria!
You do things with the bass I've never seen any else do before😲😲😲
The thumbnail surprised me, I was wondering "who's that". When the playing started all doubts were dispelled, since only one man plays like that :D
What a strange technique!
Amazing playing...
Always puts a smile on my face! Such a unique and special sound. ❤
One of the best undercover jam masters out there

Now I'm convinced, a good looking man makes the groove slap harder
So he has a face!
Right? All these years I figured he was just sentient arms
He sure got skills tho
He shows his face in old videos from like 8 years ago on videos he plays the drum for his self when he had dreads
All this time I thought you had *dreads* but it was your *beard* in all those videos! 😉 Amazing performance! 💥
i think he did have dreads in the past
Pretty sure he did have dreads before

No way aint been here in a while.. no dreads and a beard.....🎸👊
So good. So moreish! You have some cool basses that look unfamiliar to me, do you build those yourself or are those commercially available?
Thanks! This is a custom build by Cortex Bass from Switzerland, you could order the same. The fretless maple Cortex from my recent videos is available as my signature model, 5 people own that bass so far. So mostly custom but available for sure!
