Very clever idea with the rooftop tent. Was worried about if the clips would be strong enough, but then you mentioned the rails in the middle. Curious to see how that looks/works. Awesome idea.
I have the standard rear leaf pack on my Ute and it does a good job of carrying different loads when empty it’s a tad harsh but when I spray between the leafs with lanolin it’s a lot smoother
Hey mate, great video, I run the same set up in my 79 but with 2 parabolic leafs and an airbag. I have troubles finding a high clearance leaf plate that suits such a thin leaf pack. Wondering what brand yours is? Cheers, thanks for the helpful vids
Thanks 👍 I can't really speak for your setup, but if your lower spring isn't doing anything (the ends aren't touching), and you're struggling to get the rear to tuck up into the wheel arch then you might benefit from removing it. If not, don't. Not saying it's a required mod by any stretch, just sharing what I did to make mine get loose.
Hey mate big fan of all your content 👌🏻 Question on the drop shackles, I have a 76 with 0-300 parabolics and the lower leaf removed and looking to purchase the superior drop shackles, wondering if it’s really worth the money?
Next video will do more detail than a comment reply could. But to summarise, they do good things, not as good as you might think, but not as bad as the "forum experts" who know nothing of physics say they are
We’re the leafs uncomfortable when they where stock ? I don’t tow much at all so should I get get the 300kg so I don’t have the take leafs out ? Love the videos to
If you've got much bolted to your car (rear bar etc) you'll be close to the 300kg anyway. They weren't uncomfortable to begin with, just a bit less damped with parabolics due to the nature of them. The good thing about leafs is you can add/remove to suit, so I suggest you trial and error it fully loaded until you find the sweet spot. If no towing then removing the helper leaf might help you.
thank you from a sheep! although I am spewing because I've just bought a set of superior superflex radius arms? Legit reckon they will make bugger all difference??
The superflex style (not jmax) will make a difference, but you're limited by shocks and springs. I'm maxing out my shocks and springs with stock arms and castor corrected bushes. Keen to have a flex off to prove me wrong though. I'd like to be wrong.
I have to admit, it was a bit early, and I have not made it through the first cup of coffee. It took me an extra 3 seconds....maybe 4 regarding the cupholder thing. 🤔
Not quite legal but you've done well. Like most 70 series some mods are always going to be illegal in the eyes of an automotive engineer following the word of VSB. First rule of spacers is not to talk about spacers 🤣
I'm not angry, just disappointed... They're superior drop shackles. Currently $990 a pair and I certainly didn't pay that for them. Keep an eye out on marketplace. I picked up 4 of them for $100.
Added a direct link to the shop In the description. I've got about 20 products in the works, which will be added when ready. Basically anything unique you see in my videos such as troopy gas/air fitting plates, motop lifting gear, that sort of stuff. If you see it in videos, it means it's been designed and manufactured to an extent.
I just love the dry sarcasm , you got another sub well done . good video too
Welcome!

They're the older style non billet superior ones. Wayyyy overpriced for what they are, but they were a gift so I can't complain.
You're a breath of fresh air and the content was great. I'm in the market for parabolics for my 76 so this was good timing. Do the

Great content and certainly having a laugh. I can apply a few of these to my HJ61 thanks!
Love the work with the rtt mate. Cheers Steve
let's hope it holds up. I don't have complete faith in it just yet, so there's 3.5k of tent on the line if it goes wrong
Hahaha, looking forward to the tent vid
Excellent work
Nice balance work with a single line on the RTT lift.
Who knew algebra had a use outside of school!

"relatively legal". But yeah, more like won't attract the attention of HWP on an ego trip after failing to get it up for his boyfriend.
@@ridiculousthings4x4 I like your idea about taking that bottom leaf out. 🤔
In the mods ranking, the leaf mods are definitely in the #1 spot
@@ridiculousthings4x4got a 'how to' video for removing the bottom leaf or pretty street forward?
Nice vid. Subed!
Cup holders don’t need cup holders 😆 can I use that one
Can i get more details on your rear hinged shackles....
Please dont leaf me hanging...... by game changing build may hinge on this....

Helikopter helikopter...😂😂😂
Too late to add that now 🥲
Any chance of a parts list on your new merch site?

Don't get the drop shackles, or I'll feel inadequate
