I follow your videos. I have a 2006 model, 35K miles toyota aygo vehicle. It makes exactly the same sound. I wonder if this problem was solved after your action? Or did the problem recur after a while or did the problem appear elsewhere? Here (UK) car mechanics unfortunately want the car to stay for at least 2-3 days even for such a problem. If your problem is solved in this way, I will do the same. Thank you for your help.
I have a bit of squeek when the engine and belt is cold. It started when I changed the oil and a big gust of wind made the oil go everywhere and a bit got on the belt, I wiped it off but I must have missed a little bit. I've got a new belt as I don't think it's done bad at 83,000 miles (and I know what oil is like for soaking into rubber), I think I'm going to clean all of the pulleys in case they're contaminated, I'm just not sure what to use as I suspect washing up liquid and water could cause it to be slippery... Although I guess if I rinsed them with a hosepipe afterwards in theory it should be fine?
Did the noise suddenly start from nothing? My C1 has started making a similar sound, but only at around 2000rpm. Anything above/below this and it sounds normal. I'm wondering if it's the same thing, or I've got a bigger issue. Any clues as to what it may be?
If your belt is not loose, the water pump is most probably failing, that is what happened to this one, this is the replacement video, ,ua-cam.com/video/a9zXGS5CPy4/v-deo.html. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I put this one also in my C1 playlist! Thanks aaanton!!! Do you have an advice for central locking problems? On the driver's side of my C1 (2008) I can't close anymore but I can open. On the passengers side it works fine. Is this a common problem? Do you have an idea? Or someone else reading this comment?
Thanks once again Anton, my car is making the exact same noise at the moment!
Glad to help! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

could be the solenoid in the door sticking, might be worth having a look, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 Thanks, I will do that! 👍
Thank you☺
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I only get this noise when the car is cold, if I start my AYGO after then it doesn't make the noise. could it still be this issue?
could be, or the water pump is on its way out, I have another video on the Replacement, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
when the water pump goes and leaks does a bit of grease get into the water
not really, not enough to cause an issue, you drain the system down when replacing the pump anyway, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
You look exhausted at the end. Are you the singer out of Madness?
😂 no but I am always one step behind, Thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
My citreon c1 had same issue turned out it was the water pump bearing.
Quite a common issue on these, thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Sounded far worse than what it was. Cheap fix.
Thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
