- You’ve heard the name. You’ve heard the hype. Can it really live up to it?
Until now I’d never driven one, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to again. Three minutes isn’t enough to do it justice, but with the volume up hopefully you get the idea...Sorry but I had to give it back!

I could look at and listen to this car all day long! What a car.
Three minutes and seventeen seconds of pure bliss! I can only imagine what it must feel like to savour such senses...
Bravo Simon!
Simon's euphoric reaction is as infectious as the snarling sound of the V12... Wonderful!
Thank you for watching!
@@KidstonProductions Thank you for producing! Always a joy to watch!
"Everything you need, and nothing you don't." I NEED a 250 Testa Rossa, and do NOT NEED anything else. Simon is a perfect man to take the Testa Rossa out and give it some good wellie. He clearly enjoys his time behind the wheel. These Kidston videos are addicting. As good as it could ever get........
I knew the man, Bill Chizar, who rescued this car from the scrap, in 1970. Serial number 0718 was built in 1957 and was entered in the 1958 24 hours of Le Mans by a Belgian team. It DNF.
Bill found it in Sacramento and paid $1200 for it with a Chevy engine. He acquired a Testa Rossa engine from another TR that had been destroyed by fire, and over a period of 12 years, he and his brother restored it. Once completed he took best of class at Pebble Beach. I knew him in the late 80s, and although not a rich man , he vintage raced the car at Leguna Seca. Around 1989 or 1990, he sold the car to Norman Baker from Nebraska. Mr. Baker acquired the original matching number engine (0718) and reunited it to the chassis. It was on the cover of Cavilino Magazine.
It looks beautiful here in the video.
It’s been over 30 years since I’ve seen the car up close. It was beyond stunning then!
Thank You for bringing back memories.
Is it now based in the UK?
There's really nothing that compares to a carburated, race bred, italian V12, simply incredible!
They are breathtaking
“Everything you need.... A perfect road legal.. “
(no speedometer)
Perfect car!
Keep this up Simon! Wonderful
Excellent presentation though very short. What a car!
"Everything you need, nothing you don't"! Love it!
I only discovered your channel today but I think it’s become my favourite on UA-cam. Bravo sir, all the content I need and nothing I don’t.
Thanks and welcome
The amazing thing is that Ferrari didn't try to make that noise, that's just how it sounds naturally. Pure metallic joy.
Simon Kidston and a Colombo V12- that’s 3 minutes of pure quality. Grazie Mille!
The best car adds anywhere. Thank you Mr kidston.
Pleasure
Hallo Simon, I follow your films since years on your website. Thanks a lot for this unique experiance. The People and the stories around made the sence. No matter the price , if you cant affort this is the wrong car, but cars are for driving, Fantastic. Greatings from Germany
Semplicemente meraviglioso!!! Complimenti!
I imagine that in your line of 'work' 😀 it takes a lot to get the juices flowing. This seemed to do the job. Thanks for the ride.
That beauty and her sound 😍
I had the Burago model of that exact car. I think it must be the most beautiful car ever made. The shape, the sound. Unreal.
I still have a Bburago 1/18 scale. I also have an Altaya (very beautifully detailed) 1:43.
Love that sound! Another great video!!:)
"That is just heaven" sums it up really!
Fantastic. And what a sound!
The SMILE captures it all!
This gentelman videos should have zillion views.

Is Life really fair??? Of course not!!! That's why Simon gets to drive all the very best cars!!!
How did 3 minutes 17 seconds pass so quickly?
I can't even imagine how imersive, driving a car such as the Testarossa feels like..
the best UA-cam channel
El mejor canal de UA-cam
il miglior canale UA-cam
Hey here comes speed racer!
Brilliant
250 tr and 312B is my favorite car to drive
the sound of that engine, it's better than Beethoven's Fifth Symphony (no offense to the great Beethoven) :-) Stupendi entrambi.
GOODMORNING SIMON..IT IS A GOOD DAY TODAY
Best pure engine sound in the world, LFA take a hike with exhaust pumped trumpets.
How did it feel in the corners with the De-Dion rear axle? Also, is it just me, or does it look like it inspired Speed Racer's Mach 5?
The only thing I miss is the feel of brakes, the steering feel and how it handles a sharp turn.
Oh my god!
👍🏻👏👏👏
A voir votre sourire, cela doit être fantastique 😀
Bliss
My goodness
I thought the GTOs had perfected the symphony of 12….
There’s also the 330 LMB
such a lucky B... dang ... :-)
What a Miusic
Lucky man. Letting someone drive his $50 million car is once in a lifetime. There must b lots of $ and connections behind this channel
Thank you so much for sharing, we know why you gave it the thumbs up!
😎👍🇨🇦
Of course .... Simon ... you drive myths that I know only from having read in motor magazines ... maybe seen in some gatherings ... there is a certain envy ....
Three minutes? When’s the next 27 mins?
2:26
If you people think this car is valuable you should see the price tag of a 1950’s Mercedes Benz 722 SLR Stirling Moss edition, that car is a hundred million more
Sembra la macchina di topolino
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....
That does not mean much. We always set these “guidelines” and end up disrespecting them by 50 years. It also doesn’t mean that driving cars built before those dates will be illegal. It’s like saying you can’t drive a car without airbags today. Of course you can. Common sense will prevail.
Wtf are you doing driving this in the rain...
It wasn't even raining and cars can withstand a bit of water. Especially if they are washed and dried immediately after, like this car was. Hope you enjoyed the video
I don't like Ferraris
