That would be a really cool first car for a kid just starting to drive.
That would be nice for me honestly!! A car that uses very little gas and is front wheel drive
I wish
Might get my son one of these..
It was my first car and I've had it for a little over a year and its super nice theres room to take friends and it can be sporty on back roads and it gets over 30mpg at the same time
@@tamedon7296
I’d stay away from the 7th generation civic, it’s really unreliable and trash.
Go with a 2006-2011 Honda Civic if anything.
Make a "neighbour reaction video" ! I'm sure he would love to see his old car like this
Great idea. That might be the person to give it to.
Yes pimped his ride
Yes
He just tried to junk it, he's not gonna care 😅
You actually think they got this from a neighbor for nearly free... lol
It looks filthy clean honestly, I would drive that as a daily with a smile on my face every time.
frrr
"filthy clean".......
i got a 05 civic just like this as my first car and i have no complaints lmaoo
i have the same civic and i love it
i have the same civic and i love it
With the no badge grill, it looks like one of those generic cars from GTA 5
Lmo it looks like the sentinel xs
It looked like a Toyota Corolla
Looks better to me
I liked it. No logo.
I thought it was a Toyola
This was my first ever car, so this hits a warm spot in my heart to see you guys working on this gen civic. I miss my old civic...
same as me
Same, this gen barely gets any attention
Mine was an 03 EX same color and my sister has it now. 210k miles and still going strong!
Still got my 03 civic. Only 141,000 Original miles.
Same 🤣🤣
"Moose sweat"! Never knew how tough you Canadians had it up there!
Moose is a person😂
@@dylansmith5209 All our moose are real people.
This is the kind of build I love. Simple and clean.
"build"
I wanna see the neighbors reaction to how it looks now
The subtle mods you did really transformed the look of the car, especially the wheels and coilovers, great job guys!
5:52 Easy BIG WIN ua-cam.com/video/BwKDmjcXYM4/v-deo.html
wheels, rims, balance and coil overs was close to $3000+
I really enjoy this kind of viedo because everyone can't afford big cars and costly upgrade this is what I can do my self I watched the part one and was wanting for part 2
I'm sure it's a whole lot cheaper for them, too!
Same here, i used to have a 4 door civic like this and im planning on getting another one to mod it and these videos are perfect timing
I feel the same way. Definitely a fun short series.
5:29 Best BIG WINS ua-cam.com/video/MNNd2DZSdKs/v-deo.html
Whole lot cheaper than a 20k car!
Love these mini, very at-home-doable series’s 💙 would love more of them!
Love this particular build series as its close to my heart. My 2002 Civic was the first really nice car I ever purchased back in 2007 and I am still enjoying and missing it to this day, it actually became the basis for my UA-cam Channel. The 7th gens are easily overlooked when compared to 6th and 8th Gens but they are truly great little cars and easy to mod.
I'm really into this refresh/resurrection type of content! I call this the $80 special hehe
The straight pipes cameo, nice. I'm really glad people support you too on Savage Geese & Street Banditos
AND WE'RE FIXING THIS CIVIC
Lol. That cameo caught me totally by surprise. HRSPWR N TRK.
Did you guys help with the rolling shots?
swap it k20
@@jackiechan4398 i second that
@@therealboofighter it definitely looks similar to their rolling shots, so I would assume so
You guys look like you have the most fun, enjoyable job of all time. I’m sure it comes with ups and downs.. but seeing the finished product after all your hard work is so rewarding.
In love with the car, can't believe u got it for so cheap and got it looking THAT good!
It's hard to find EM2 builds. Thanks for this!!!
“Build”
you know why? because honda tuners only use potent platforms like the ef eg ek/em1 and fg2 . No one likes the em2
Building a k24 swapped one right now
@@ganjaspeeder1144 kinda sad because these cars look so good, I actually bought a em2 coupe recently myself
I got mine right now and I love it gonna go k
That civic turned out really nice it be perfect wth a manual transmission
yup, whole front clip with a K24 slid in would be sweet
Yeah if it had a manual it’d be perfect👏
If they wouldve put a manual in next thing you know they wouldve swapped the engine & then a turbo & now its not a give away car its a track car 😂
Indeed!
Honda manual transmissions are the best in the automotive world.
this video actually makes me smile coz my very first car was a 05 em2. you guys did everything that i planned on doing on my car on this one. thank you for this vid.
I just love the look of the old Civics. I've had 3 Civics over the years. A 94, 99 and a 2004. I loved them all, especially my 94.
My biggest complaint is not dealing with the undercarriage rust, but the rest of the car looks great!
Word
they arent going to pull off every nut and bolt, sandblast them, coat them and re install them...
If it’s superficial rust, which it mostly is, then there’s no need to remove it since it does no harm to the frame or anything.
That’s was a cool quick “restoration”. Looks a lot more like an RSX with those headlights.
I was thinking Lexus IS300
I appreciate more people giving the em2 civic some love. It’s not a crazy car but it’s fun and I’d say good for beginners (including myself)
Guys, you need a Dyno stand, take a run before and after modifications..
Its wil be awesome!
Stock grill looks 100% better! This is looking really good for a budget build - nice work gents
Yea I like the badge
Bro, this car went from $225 to $5k in a few days pefect daily plus loved the no logo grill
I did too.
Also a fan of the badgeless front look - Also thought about finding a way to stick a Honda motorcycle logo (the ones that just have HONDA in caps off something like an old Goldwing) in one of the upper corners.
even with a kswap this rotten generation never worth 5k
3k at best lol
Dang here in PR it would cost some 5k easy
That transformation is night and day... Looks amazing!
These build videos are amazing. Thanks for making these obtainable builds!!!
This is that good stuff, restoring and lightly modding basic cars. I love it
Seeing this Civic get a new chance at life, makes me happy ! I love my Honda's 🔥
Same I own 4
My friend bought one of these when we got out of high school. His first new car. Loved the civic
All it needs now is a new sound system and it’s definitely good to go. Awesome build guys
😌👌🏾 I would love to do this some day
id like to say, that bodyshop price must be friend price
Great refresh build guys! Civic looks new again. Perfect for budget that don't costs a whole arm and leg.
I have a 2001 EX that I dropped a K20A1 w/LSD into it with rear conversion to disc brakes, plus all the bolt-on's. Now that the Tein coilovers, bushings, and sway bars have been replaced it rides so nice.
My first car was a 2001’ Honda Civic lx that I bought outright for like 17K with money I saved while serving in the Marines from 1998-2002. At the time I didn’t know how to drive a manual transmission so I had to get the auto.
Regardless, that 2001’ Civic was great and extremely good on gas! Found memories whenever I see them still on the road today, speaks to how well they’re built.
My current ride is a 2021’ Mazda MX-5 6MT Club w/ Brembo / BBS / Recaro package which I’m still blown away by a year later. Would’ve gotten an Honda S2K back when Honda still made them up til ~ 2009’ but they were a bit out of my price range back then.
Fellow Canadian:). I love how you guys take time to explain the tools you are using and what they do...even if its brief! Now I want to buy a cheap civic for my channel! Haha
Man that video work of the completed car is like a time machine back to the early 2000's, nostalgic AF
That front end of the car is just absolutely amazing!
Nice work boys! Motivated me to clean up my little 05 Civic Coupe commuter.
Love these short simple builds. Lots of fun and reminds me of simpler times.
Yes! This is the type of content we’ve been missing on your channel. I love this new content format guys. Just simple, DIY upgrades/repairs that most competent weekend warrior mechanics can do. Keep it coming. 👍😀
This was pretty cool to watch. Not overtly customized, but enough to please the eyes. Well done guys.
Have exactly the same fiji blue civic except with a 5 spd. Bought it new in 05. It's got 60K on it now. That suspension set up and stance is such an improvement over stock, gonna look at doing that - thanks for the inspiration !
Cool series
The stock grill needs a a coat of black paint and its good.
true, maybe a plastic trim black paint
I can see why they kept it stock. Logo takes some attention off that hideous front plate.
I love this for budget and it awesome since at first glance it doesn't stand out but when you just look at it you can just appreciate all the small details
Just bought honda civic ex 2004 5 speed as my first car and i cant wait to make it a clean build.
That 7am upload thanks to you guys living in Toronto 🤙🏼 Canada Love
7:44 2020 Money WIN ua-cam.com/video/MNNd2DZSdKs/v-deo.html
you and gears and gasoline uploaded at the same time
so i had to make a choice about what to watch first
it was hard
You guys did an awesome job honestly, big props!
You did a great job. This Honda was very beautiful. A strong hug from Brazil.
Love these types of vids! Keep them coming 👏🏼💪🏼
Rather than using that "fall out remover" which us basically just a iron X product, using a clay bar would have been a better method and would have removed more contaminants that is in the paint.
But either way, nice video.
You can use both if it's really bad. Iron X first followed by clay bar.
Time-wise, I can understand why they didn’t use a clay bar!
Clay bar adds marring to the paint surface, which means more polishing is needed to correct it. It’s better to chemically remove as much contamination as possible before touching the paint with mechanical decontamination. That helps minimize the amount of marring and scratching added during the decon process.
@@Patrick94GSR Yes, but they did a 1 step correction anyways. It wouldn't have caused any additional polishing. The marring it causes is pretty minimal, especially considering the state of the finish on this car. It was jacked.
I can’t believe how nice this turned out - had me looking online for a used civic 😂
First time watching this channel and I love it! Huge fan 😊 Honda's for life 💙
Rushing out to buy a civic...this looks awesome!!! Makes me miss my EK Civic ferio as well.
This series is so good. It should be on Netflix
Thanks fam, like your series on customizing vehicles, much appreciated! 👌👍
Amazing job, really liked the end product. Great work guys!
You guys have amazing taste when it comes to aesthetics! Always impressed.
@ 15:16 that transition gave me the Pimp My Ride vibe
i really love watching this episode, i usually watch building a sports cars but this one was also great 👍👍 if im going to have my first car one day i think its gonna like this ❤️❤️
Thank you for keeping that stock grill with the Honda Logo man. Its perfect with it
Personally I like the Honda grill, it adds a little “sporty” look like the Type-R
Looks great! I've got an '05 in that color!
But to those watching, you spend $4,500 on a $2,000 car and now it's worth $3,000! ;)
Enjoy your mods if it makes you happy but you're not getting your money back! ;P
I think the car could be sold for 4-5k. But for most folks,, 5k to improve the car this significantly is a very wallet friendly cost.
It has under 150k miles. That's a 3.5-5k car all day in my area.
@@stevep6317 I know. I'm just speaking from a enthusiast perspective. 5k is a small investment if you want to improve the look and keep some money.
Lol where I live u can get a clean one for $1500
Ha good points! (Mine is worth much less due to higher miles)
So KBB is $3,600 (manifold aside). You put another $4,500, you're over $8,000... You can get a decent car for that, which will also hold it's resale value... (My thoughts)
Of course mods are fun and can be done over time.
This little Honda is very cool you guys did a great job! Perfect daily driver!
You guys cleaned that Civic up very well!!!
Really loving the build. I wish more honda owners would keep it simple like this instead of adding decals, spoilers, fake hood scoops.
Really cool budget build! The body color is stunning too, it aged well and keeps the car looking modern! The only thing I would have done differently is added black side skirt extensions and black rear mud guards to keep the black lines continuous from front to back.
thought the same thing about the side skirts and the rear bro
This is awesome. I currently own and drive a 2002 honda civic ex coupe white with over 212k miles on it. Ive had it for 8 years it my first car i bought myself used from a honda dealer with 74k miles on it for 8500. This is kinda what i envisioned the car to look like when i was first got it.
As a Honda Fan Boy I really think it turned out great! Nice job, Fellas.
4k of parts on a 250 bucks car
thats why car guy are broke 🤣😏
(That's a freaking joke goddammit!!!! 🤦♂️)
🤦♂️⚰️
Dang man that looks pretty clean! But it's a freakin automatic!!! NooOooOoOooooo =(
You must’ve missed the part where he said eBay sponsored the built. I am sure what he got off eBay eBay paid for.
@@EduardoISF thx captain obvious and you must have missed the joke 🙄
Not funny. Good try
Kind of late to the game, but this series struck home for me. I had an 02 EX on Sportlines, Tokico Blues, and Neuspeed upper strut bar. Best handling car I’ve ever had. This car felt like it was on rails. It was slow for sure, but still super fun to drive.
Wow. Pretty cool transformation. All it needs is some boost. Looks great!! Well done
you guys killed it! that thing looks sick!
Hello from Quebec! ;) Happy Halloween :P
Im digging this simple mod project you have! Please make more of these!
I have a civic pretty much exactly like this. The owner before me blacked out the chrome and installed black mag wheels. I kinda liked the look of it, so I decided to go with it. I‘ve since put in a glass pack muffler, a new engine from my other civic (original had run out of oil), and a black exhaust tip. I‘d like to put a body kit on it, as well as maybe scissor doors (but am not too sure on that).
bro im also planning to buy a secondhand civic and searching for custom civic builds just like this. great job bro hope you make more videos like this 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Wild , had no clue you were in my city ! Cheers from down the road !
I second this, was shocked when they drove by my old campus in Stoney creek hahah. Barton street literally is the worst though excellent testing grounds for a new suspension
" Holy, it is.... ssslow."
Very clean, simple and not overdone.
I cant believe you made a 7th gen look this good. Its amazing how different this one looks.
Can i have the grill you didnt put on😭
It looks sick
Looks really nice guys well done. Fiji Blue looks wonderful once it has it's depth and shine back and those König wheels really pop. It would be an awesome sleeper and all-around package with a B16, B18, H22, K20 or K24 and 5MT LSD transaxle swapped in. It needs engine with a bit of jam, disregarding budget constraints and all...I'm sure Ebay Motors has lots of those engines sitting around waiting for a project build!!!
Man Hamilton! pot holes large enough for smart cars to vanish into. Seeing the streets you drove down made me remember my 1st job in that area.
I loved this series so much. Love that car! Great job fellas! I would drive that bad boy daily no problem.
really nice simple dd. you could do a ebay auction on it and donate the proceeds to a charitable foundation.
1:04 nobody
That wiper : “Haha, caught your fingers!”
Ones of the nicest old civics out there
Nice little fix for that Honda! Great transformation!
This is the car you get when start NFS: Underground 😂
Nice! I love the look, I woulda liked some black wheels though. But a nice and clean build. Raffle it? Also can you post the phone number for that paint shop?
Give a quick google search 242customs. Number is posted there.
Love this kind of lowkey transformation
the wheels look absolutely amazing!
You guys should give it way to a family or someone who's in a tight spot with money and needs a car. That would be cool to see happen.
I nominate this guy ⬆️
I nominate this guy⬆️
Do you want a manual trans with mfactory lsd and excedy stage 1 clutch?
For performance auto trans are the way to go
I love these videos!! Car looks amazing !!
Looks really good to do the blue light and breaks blue give that car More Concept to a LED kit in it change the tail lights and you're good to go. Looks amazing guys keep it up
