They listened to our feedback 😀 The majority of people like watching builds they can achieve themselves, stuff more relatable. I personally like to watch a slow stock civic made into something nice, rather than a 1000hp Supra.
@@Entertainmentinc1 I haven’t got that kinda money either but compared to these high end builds that use rare parts and take 100’s of hours it’s nice to see something more realistic for an every day enthusiast
My brother bought a slightly modded civic after his 93 civic got in a wreck, the guy dropped a short column shifter and stage 2 clutch in it and man that was fun. Best experience I’ve had in a car.
I had an manual LX '01 em2 from brand new. Sold it with the original motor and trans with 350k miles. Only had to change the TPS sensor at 150k miles, one oem clutch at 175k(just in case because of two week road trip), replaced the catalytic converter with a new OEM one at 250k miles, and reman the alternator to brushless. I had a great 14 year run before I was offered a trade I couldn't say no too. Cheers!
sooooo... nobody here is an actual "car guy" or whatever..? they just made this car loud and slow. wasted money and time and you all are excited about this? it's a honda. for 3k they could have turbocharged that thing and it would have out performed this build in it's final form. waste of time. go see boosted bois if you want cheap honda builds.
I see most of the replies are very positive and friendly. This looks like a pretty wholesome channel bringing in decent viewers. Great job, now I am subscribed
I've said it before, but I love these quick builds because it feels like it could be a great primer for someone looking to build their first project car. If you swap out PT for a teenager who just got their license in the case of the neighbour wanting to give him a car he was going to scrap, this could easily be someone looking for a video like this to get them started.
When I was 17 I put one of these D17 blocks with a D16z6, or Y8 head, i don't remember which. It was hell but it worked. and, you should put the stock air box back in it with just a better filter.
How is it! Automatic? I've been thinking of getting one to upgrade a bit from my 99 civic . But I just need a rear main seal and the timing belt to be changed out soon plus water pump.
That is a clean car it's honest and well-maintained minus those minor issues fixed with bolt-ons. man I'd give it a repaint the right rims maybe a sound system new interior and I'd take care of it for the next 10 years
That shiny new pErFoRmAnCe exhaust is so funny on that rusted out shit. I mean I get the point to make quick "builds" and videos for entertaiment (and income) purpose, but man, I would get a wirewheel and a handheld sandblaster first with that undercarriage :D
Awesome episode, just wondering why you did not wash the engine bay prior to it coming into the bay? What can be done about the spot rust underneath. Still a smoking deal and build.
No, the real "temptation" is just throwing the catalyst in the trashcan, replacing everything with a proper header, and then either ignoring the light on the dash for the downstream O2, or a tune to turn it off.
The car came perfectly engineered with the stock cooler, the engineers took years perfecting the air intake system and now You've ruined the car by adding a custom cold air filter, now you need to reprogram the whole system for it to run properly 👌.
Love your videos guys, but would really love to know too, where you get your background music from (what do you search for or title/artist etc) as it is great to listen to, thank you
Work with gravity not against it next time when you’re loosening a seized bolt slip a cheater bar which is a metal pipe over your socket wrench and pull down don’t hurt your back you’re a mechanic you should know that, nice build though
Hey guys. Im an fan from Winnipeg, Manitoba and i have seen and watch of your video for mods. Can yoy feature a minivan modification especially the 06 honday odyssey. Thanks and more power
Never against saving a car.. See kids now days who some how think that a well taken care of car should go to scrap because it has 200k on it.. And that's thanks to dealers telling you your car isn't worth shit over 100k.. I had am 89 civic I was getting close to putting a million KMs on.. Shit ran like a fuckin champ, even drove it to the scrap yard as rust was slowly taking it over.
So, help me understand... 126,000 mile car that runs well and is fairly clean was going to be " scrapped by the neighbor" ? Then, you give him scrap value for it? Does that sound correct? Why was this car going to be sold for scrap? I feel like I'm missing something here....
Love these budget friendly builds!!
ikr

I agree! Its much more relatable than high dollar builds
budget friendly?! bro they gonna be more than $5000 in by the time theyre done with it, thats not budget friendly at all
@@Entertainmentinc1 I haven’t got that kinda money either but compared to these high end builds that use rare parts and take 100’s of hours it’s nice to see something more realistic for an every day enthusiast
More modding of honda civics ;-)
HOOORRSEEEPOWWERRNTTOOORRQQQUEE

I swear this "Pimp my whatever" are the series that I'm most excited about on the entire youtube car scene, please keep doing this kind of builds.
Seriously. Small, 2-3 parts builds is great! Looking for more like these!
agreed
Yes

THATS ME ;-;
For the love of god wash that thing first. How can you enjoy working in all that dirt. Good content and look forward to more.
Looks okay on the outside, but that engine bay is pretty disgusting
That was what I was thinking lol, I got a 05 accent and it’s a junk car but I cleaned the entire engine bay when I got it lol
Dude right what the fuck
That red car in the background is sick freaking neat
This was my car back in 2004, a beautiful silver EM2, loved it. Imagine putting a K20 in it..
I think this is the first time I've heard Doorman and quality in the same sentence.
When I was 17 I put one of these D17 blocks with a D16z6, or Y8 head, i don't remember which. It was hell but it worked.

I love the daily driver mod videos. So fun to watch, and inspiring because these mods are something I can even do.
i had one of these , a 2005 civic se with a 5 speed manual . great car !
this video made me buy my 05 civic coupe lx ; ) ty good sir been had it for 8 months or more
How is it! Automatic? I've been thinking of getting one to upgrade a bit from my 99 civic . But I just need a rear main seal and the timing belt to be changed out soon plus water pump.
Please refurb front lights!!! Don't leave them like that as you did on Mx5
Bro the cold air intake he put in there was more expensive than the whole car 😂😂😂
Love these types of builds please keep them coming
Thats a cool heat trick, thanks for showing.
Great video but that ebay motors fun fact sound is too loud!
#savethepop
That 240 looking so good
this car is worth 10k now in 2023, as is he knows what he has.
On bolts inside of something you have to get the head red hot. That's the only way heat will travel all the way down the threads.
That is a clean car it's honest and well-maintained minus those minor issues fixed with bolt-ons.
man I'd give it a repaint the right rims maybe a sound system new interior and I'd take care of it for the next 10 years
keep these videos up if the views keep coming in, they are great!
Looks better already
Got another Honda idea for ya, that being a CR-Z. I think it'd be rather interesting if the chance ever rised to the surface
Love this series
Love this colour!!!
That generation of Civic looks so much like Mazda
that S14 in the background has me moist
Omg this civic is my starter car on nfsu 2 damn this is a good car
Finally some good content

Bout to start my 02 build
Great job guys ...new subscriber ...love these kind of rebuilds ...spoke too soon about cleaning underwood ... should have known ...lol
Why are there literally 20,990 ads... as soon as it gets interesting it breaks to an ad
Wish there was cars that cheap down here 😂😂
that red silvia though.... omg
This is a great color
make sure you slap that intake sticker on you window - it will give you more hp than the intake will
When you modded the exhaust I was shocked you put a stock exhaust manifold back on..
Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't like these kinds of builds. I want long in-depth detail builds.
I like both
I really don't understand how youtubers always get cars for that cheap in good condition when I can never find any like that
Alot of time and effort is spent looking for deals
I wish i could find these type of deals, damn
The bubble sound driving me crazy
Wish you guys can do this to my 08 Honda Civic 5 speed manual!
Hot air intake 👌
Awesome content! 👍🏻👍🏻
I have a yonaka on my TSX, it's fuckin SWEET for 500 bucks. Sounds really good, if anything it could stand to be a little louder.
I live in Los Angeles have the same car mine has 225,000 miles no issues.
Crazy I have the same whip
That short ram is going to get heat soak. These rookies should have just kept the stock box on it.

Budget mod.. simple green on the engine compartment.

hope you got the airbag inflator done
Shot horizontally😀👍
Nice video!
Work with gravity not against it next time when you’re loosening a seized bolt slip a cheater bar which is a metal pipe over your socket wrench and pull down don’t hurt your back you’re a mechanic you should know that, nice build though
To keep from breaking header bolts let your car run for 20 minutes then break them loose with 3/8 ratchet
And I thought b5 s4 rusty but nope dis video change my mind
I have a 2004 Honda Civic ex coupe and it’s the same color
Make sure this build don't have less than 600 HP K20 / k24 swap!
"A ton of rust"
The Honda i had: lemme show you what real rust looks like
I legit have the identical civic, I swapped a JDM D17A Into it
Luckely those pop up sounds aren't annoying at all.
My favorite car is Honda Civic 2003 model
I wish I had that one too
Turned a cold air intake into a hot air intake 😂
I’m watching because I have that same civic
I just got at civic 2003 looking to build it up
Who scraps a civic with only 130000 miles on it? That's just getting started with those cars.
120,000 miles on a Civic is hardly breaking it in!
There $4k of car all day long what a result but i would of gone for the tubular mainfold if going for more power
He cleaned the cover and said he added more HP 🤣
Did you guys build or buy your cribbing you had the car on at the end of the video?
Hey guys. Im an fan from Winnipeg, Manitoba and i have seen and watch of your video for mods. Can yoy feature a minivan modification especially the 06 honday odyssey. Thanks and more power
Is that cat California approved
I’ll will buy the manifold/catalytic converter if interested
I’m surprised they were gonna give this car away. I’ve seen far worse cars sell for far more
So the Yonaka 96-00 Honda Civic Catback Exhaust EK Hatchback 3DR 2.5" will deff fit on my 04 coupe?
Probably should have checked that timing belt while you where in there and have the valve cover off
Can you buy that catalytic converter in cali? I have the same problem and sound on my exhaust manifold for my 05 coupe
Perfect shape... just maintenance

Wait you're using a torque wrench to break a bolt loose?

He revved it 💀 My Focus has no mufflers or resonators and gives you something to actually hear 😂
Your Focus most definitely sounds like fucking shit and is super annoying to everyone else.
Yes but do you have any spoon engines?
What was that pro tip? Crown strap?! I can't see to find that part...
I got pretty much the same car for $350!
the honda's these days only make it to 125k before crappin out? WoW!
You mentioned quality but you bought a Dorman?
Air filter take HOT air from Engine ? cool.... :D :D
How do people who do not need cars find cheap nice cars
Beginning of video no bear
At the end of video bear
wow.. in malaysia its about rm50k for coupe civic es..
