Really, really, really good! Especially with the bias of 6k front /12k rear rates. Testament to the quality of the shock and valving. I have Koni race in my other car and have driven cars with MCS, Ohlins, KW, and these feel right up there. On track it’s been great too. This is not a paid message! Lol. I told Dave and Peter to give me my old Konis back in case I don’t like the coilovers but it’s safe to say I’ll be keeping the car as is.

Would love a series where you take a viewer and their car to TMP and teach them how to drive on the track in their own slightly modified/heavily modified car and then dial it in if it needs adjustments like brakes/suspension. Great work on the videos they are doing awesome
I want a 8th gen si so badly. I love the radio, wheels and hybrid racing bits you guys added. Car looks sick. Also I love how you guys explained that fact about high zinc oil that I didn’t know. This build was very simple but kinda budget build. Those master cylinder stoppers really do make a difference. Their so cheap but no one I know even think to buy them.

These two mods really woke up the car. I’m planning to leave the stock header and cat. I have a race car to go ‘fast’ in and enjoy a semi-quiet car to and from work lol.
@@makeitshine108 I would do headers at least. Youll get much more power, but you need to change one motor mount on the bottom in the back. Also the cat is really restrictive aswell. I was very happy when i did it.
This car deserved a bit more love. A header, Hasport rear motor mount, K-tuned CMC-slave assy, and a hybrid racing short shifter would've made this ride whole imo.
@@b_nast19 No down pipe for 8th gens. They are capable of taking advantage of a proper aftermarket header. Downpipes are for 9th gens because of their integrated header design.

It’s in pristine condition, something of a “old dude’s” car. Never driven hard, serviced at a dealer, and garaged for its entire life. The paint is absolutely gorgeous and not a single rock chip on the front end. I wanted to know if you can recommend a similar modern infotainment upgrade which will provide me with CarPlay or Android Auto. Any recommendations you can share is much appreciated for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz W212 : M276 : 4 Door Sedan with a 3.5L V6 RWD. Thank you very much!
This is one of the best days I've ever had! I still can't believe the chances. I actually heard about tuningbynick trough a guy I saw at a red light, who was driving a very nicely built sir. after scheduling a dyno day with tuningbynick (who is incredible at what he does) I brought in my Honda accord 2.4L For a tune. My very first time ever having a car dyno tuned so I was already at a high level of excitement but still I was trying to act natural, just meeting Nick was cool enough. I originally saw Peter at the front while waiting for Nick but I shrugged it off like "ohhey that guy on the phone looks like Peter Tarach....... Yeah right no way that's him" but while sitting on the chair next to the dyno, having dave come up out of no where and ask me " how much hp it's making" just totally blew my mind and my level of excitement went crazy!! I honestly tried sooooo hard to keep cool loI. i still couldn't believe it. I was super nervous but you guys are just soo charismatic! Thank you guys for signing my ECU cover and for taking a pic with me! Honestly don't know what more I could have asked for on my very first day ever dyno tuning. I almost........ ALMOST rescheduled but Nick insisted I try to make it. Best decision ever! You guys are way too cool!
I cut the bottom of an oil litre container and put it under the filter to avoid making a mess on the si/rsx/ep3/crv.These engines are strong and durable. I have an 06 rsx-s, 205whp, 170k km and track driven for 3 seasons now.
Hell yeah nice build man. Those ExtremeContact Sports are way grippy for their treadwear rating. For 340tw tires they gripped harder than my 240tw Bridgestone Potenza S007A.
People just don’t quite appreciate the efficiency Honda bakes right in. My old 99 si, it had the oil filter mount horizontally at the back of the block. Right over the top of your exhaust or 2 pipe step down from 4 if you had a 4-2-1 header. Fun way to burn yourself, and create cool James Bond smoke clouds with the used oil that inevitably would run down your exhaust. Don’t recall rusty exhaust bolts though.
As an 8th gen owner myself I enjoyed this short build. Very nice. Solid mods with some room to grow if necessary. I would have added upgraded mounts to this round of mods, but either way the results were fantastic!
@@thomass8118 ikr. I even pondered with the idea of getting the hybrid and kswapping it but figured it would be way more hassle than it would be worth. Maybe I still will in the future, funds allowing -- but when you look at what the car offers it might just be more beneficial to get a k24 accord cl7/9 and use that. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

The ricer in me would even consider adding some 'tyre R' bits and bobs. Btw, if I were in the UK (and funds would allow), I'd seriously look at the JDM FD.
@@thomass8118 suppose the chassis would be good, but the gutless sub 100hp motor wouldn't be enough for me. FD2 Type R's are creeping up to 20k over here and for that money I could build myself a Boosted k24 Frank civic/accord/teg. In fact I'm sure you could buy a DC2 here in the UK for that much
@@baker6928 You guys in the UK are lucky you can engineswap (and do most mods on a car), whereas here in Belgium we can do almost nothing (no bbk, no bracing, no engine swap etc). I understand how you feel about spending that much money on a car, on the other hand, atm they are going up in value (as do most jdm cars) and aren't going down any time soon.

You guys should mod a Chevy Cobalt SS Turbocharged Model. They ran from 2008 to 2010. Tuned at Nuremberg ring and came with a sport tuned suspension and 260hp and 260trq. It's a very capable car not a lot of people know about since its GM.
Would love for these guys to help me with my current build, sadly funds aren't the best and seems like i will never be able to finish my car. videos like these when they help car enthusiasts

Civic is looking good, running good, sounds good! 😍 I have those tires on my car right now.. they grip really well! Right now im at like 8,000 miles and im almost done with them 🤣 no track, just daily and canyon driving.. im at 6/32 on all corners with stock sizing
Car turned out great. Only other thing I would do as a starter mod would be new headlights with projector/HID retrofit. I did the basic Morimoto Mini H1 setup, a bit of work but sooo worth it.
I talked to a guy at a autocross with a civic. He said he got a tune and raised his red line to 9300 I was surprised that he only came out to one. Wonder what happened🤔 HAHAH
You guys did what Pimp My Ride never could, you cost-effectively took this car to the next level. Kudos!

Honda purposefully designs all their modern cars to have the old oil drain all the way down the frame. Thanks, Honda.

If you want to, switch to a PLM header and a 3 inch exhaust. My dads SI made 220 wheel on a Mustang dunk with that setup.
