Thanks. Might mention to check and maybe replace the air filter at the same time. It is right there, just held on with some clips. The factory installed oil filter on mine was tight as f#%^k, I had to grab it with some big channellocks to get it loose!

Sounds like filling the filter could make things go better adding the second quart.

Apparently you don't realize Rotella is made for diesel engines. Read the label, right under your finger. And yes, I know. I was a protech for fifty years and am factory trained and certified.

Well then what oil do you recommend?

      @@Myksgaragedon’t listen to that 😮joker… generators use heavy duty 30 , 15-w40 .
You absolutely want to use a heavy duty oil like rotella .
I’m not sure what that fellas credentials are or if a “pro tech” services generators , but if he knows so much why doesn’t he know all 15w40 is going to be diesel oil. That’s why he just left you a critical comment with no suggestion on what to use.
With the exception of the 30wt , those others suggested on the generator were deisel oils. The 30w is also “heavy duty” rated oil, that wouldn’t be used in modern gas vehicles.
Long story short you were on the right track, a lot of guys use the rotella t4 I’m usually one to go full synthetic but that’s a whole other ball of wax.
I appreciate your video as this is the first time I’ve done an oil change on my new travel trailer, and wanted to see it done before I do it . Now I won’t cut my hand!
