@@CozyLivingMachine We already have a 5th wheel, and were looking for a motorhome, but in light of the current economic conditions, have decided to wait until after the collapse.😅
I just did my 20 hour first oil change today, at 52 hours. Thanks for the reminder. It was very easy to do. The puzzling thing is that I only got a about one quart of oil out of it. That includes the filter. 🤔 I was able to put two quarts back in.
Glad to be of service! And I was kind of dreading this oil change but was pleasantly surprised at how easy and accessible they made everything. Good engineering there! Strange that you got so little out. I wish I'd have measured how much I got out... That's interesting. Ours took the full 2 quarts as well, right to the brim. Oil burning during the first hours of use? Did the factory forget to fill all the way? 🤔
Ooooh. That's a great question and I didn't even think to mention that because no, I did not! The reason I didn't is because the surface that I was screwing the filter back onto was already well-covered in oil from removing the old filter, so it went on very smoothly. Had I wiped it all dry and removed all the previous oil though, I would have as I'd done with the E-450 oil changes because I gave that a good wipe-down before reinstall!
@@CozyLivingMachine To prevent the filter paper material from being dry and better at filtering, I like to slowly fill the oil filter with oil, tap and shake it wait a few seconds until the filter can hold no more oil. Quickly screw on the filter and you are done. I also like to place a small neoprene gasket on the oil drain plug to further prevent leaking.
Thank you for the video. Off-topic question--Apparently, your live sessions do not seem get posted for later viewing. Am I missing something or is this by choice? Thank you.
Happy to share! And you're right, I actually mark them as private once they've completed. I've begun this habit because they don't often get many views or likes after we're done going live, I suspect that this is because they're so long that people don't care to watch them (1.5-3.5 hours!). And because we have a group of folks that consistently join while live, we all chat and often I give spoilers for upcoming videos and topics and the like. We also often talk about subjects and share stories that cause folks to downvote or unsubscribe, the more personal opinion sort of deals that seem to make folks uncomfortable for one reason or another watching later, but not during the live chat itself. I suspect that may also be due to the length of them that folks skip through and miss much of the context of the conversations!
@@CozyLivingMachine Thank you for the reply. Bummer. I watch your videos but it's tough to catch the live ones. I actually enjoy the long-form videos as more info. can be gleaned. Maybe you will reconsider? Either way, I will never downvote you. lol
Thanks for the reminder. I almost forgot about this first oil change. Easy peasy, I'll be doing mine this week.
OH!! Did you pick a rig?! I might be remembering wrong but I thought you were on the hunt!

@@CozyLivingMachine Yes, puzzling.
Very nice of you to post this video, thank you!
Good morning ! Great video and very helpful ! The only problem was the video was too short and it has thrown off my morning routine 😂😂😂😂
Hahaha I figured that might be the case. 🤣 I'm sorry, I promise to try to do better! 😂

@@CozyLivingMachine Do you have a link for the filters you bought?

Did you lubricate the rubber ring on the oil filter?
