The real problem is that this couple have no idea what they want. They keep random buzz words like "circus", "flamboyant", "psychedelic", but they want it to fit the traditional room? Every word that comes out of their mouth contradicts the one before.

i agree
I would cry if I got that 😂
Rachel bolger hahaha me too
Regardless of it's strange design, the cake was poorly executed. It look as though children has made the animals and details. It was very sloppily done. A good baker could have made a cake just like that, but it wouldn't have been so terribly executed. I find it hard to believe those two girls have a job in baking at all. lol
You really looked at the cake and I agree with you that was a horrible execution something's wrong with that Bakery what they present in pictures and sits on the Shelf is not what they produce. I have a bad feeling that the true artist left them but they had the money to either by that person out or they were the owners and had a cake artist that work for them that had experience. Let us hope that since it's been all these years they have improved or gone out of business because I can't imagine how many people ordered a cake from them looking at the pictures and then got that kind of a hot mess delivered. It could have been executed so adorably and cleanly that the parents would have loved it and the little boy. On top of it they cheated that couple there were no little cakes and that was supposedly part of the order so something was really weird there.
I agree it looked like a child made it what the f%%% they actually get paid????
I knew that was going to happen when they picked those two girls. Woooow.
I agree with those who say that the cake was not at all a wedding like cake - more a small child's birthday cake look. However, the blame for that cake has to be fifty-fifty between the bakers & the couple.
+Ginger Vision While the couple weren't sure what they wanted, those two girls didn't try very hard. The details were incredibly sloppy. It looked so slapped together. You cannot expect a couple to actually like something that poorly executed.
I know parents of kids that would have been disgusted with it if it were presented to their children on their birthdays.
I liked the tent idea and the stripes but they did put the idea of animals peaking out from the tent, which is not what the cake designers did. I think instead of the sloppy mishmash on the otherside of the cake to the stripes, if they just had a triangular opening with more 3d animals peaking out from the gap, it would have looked a little more presentable. I think the fact it was a wedding cake was perhaps lost as well.
Even if I was a zookeeper, I would not have wanted that cake.
What a rude and unappreciative couple! Firstly not wanting the wedding to be filmed and then the rejection of the cake. The bakers were actually left in the dark about what the couple wanted. The fault lay with them, not the bakers. I think their party would have been just as tacky as they were. That's why they did not want the event to be filmed!
we want it unique, quirky, different, elegant' blah blah.. all these couples are just saying words they don't even understand.
OMG that cake was hideous!
Was about to say that people were too harsh on the cake.... but then I saw it, so nevermind ._.;
lol
He hasn’t proposed her officially yet and she’s planing wedding :)
That was the ugliest effing cake I have ever seen in my life. I could make that cake and I have no artistic talent.
But at the same time, that couple was the rudest, most indecisive, with zero personality ever. What the hell did they want?!
A word of advice to the couple: Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it. You don't tell someone you want something silly and 'psychedelic' and than expect that to fit an elegant affair.
I BLAME THE COUPLE THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY WANTED😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I think its great! Dont say you want something psychedelic and bright and funky and 'the sillier the better' and then get mad when its GAUDY. Surely they didnt expect lace and roses and drapery! The girls did what they were asked and I think they did GREAT. =)
I'm sorry, but I place the blame squarely at the couple's door. Though I personally didn't like the general style of the bakers they went for, this couple were sooo vague in their requirements and their description was laced with so many contradictions that it's a wonder the bakers managed to find any direction at all when it came to baking the cake! The cake is just vile to look at and more befitting to a children's party than a wedding but honestly it seemed to fit the brief of what the couple themselves asked for in being 'bold, psychedelic and the sillier the better' so I don't think they can be penalized for what they came up with. This couple clearly didn't know what they wanted so it made the whole process really difficult.
hahahahahahawhahhhahahahahaaa, i couldn't even imagine how their cake would look, with the clues they gave!
you girls did great making EXACTLY what they asked for... Please be picker choosing couples for your show. They were mean and acted rude when the groom didn't help AT ALL and the bride was a mess with decision making..
They got what they asked- the sillier the better.... omg, what a hideous cake, but all the descriptive words given to these 2 designers were met...
I just knew that these couples are not good from the begging. The man didn't look like he wanted to be a part of the show. And the woman was not descriptive. She kept saying different things, and ger husband just agreed on whatever she said. It's their fault.
Her husband seemed very introverted. I was suprised that they were together, they don't seem compatible.
Note to self: NEVER make a cone cake!!
I think it is ok for kids birthday, but UGLY for a wedding
That cake was to wacky but I guess you get what you ask for . They should of said not tacky childs birthday themed.
thats a good cake for a kids birthday cake but definatley not a wedding cake !
They got exactly what they asked for!
Its your job as a cake designer to lead the conversation and lead a couple who dont really know what they invisioned. Sorry this is a huge part of the Job. so in my opinion the blame is all on des bakers.
+Fehri Lariani Those girls' complete lack of experience showed horribly well in this episode. What a train wreck.
They don't know what they want! From the opening, they went on about how they wanted animals 'holding up the cake' and to reflect the fact they were getting married in a zoo, then when they get to the first shop, they completely strip that away. Ok, whatever.
I'm wondering if someone on the show didn't warn the couple that it was a horrible cake, and that's why it was filmed 'a day early.'
I felt that it was very unhygienic to blow at the cake, even though it may have been to distribute the glitter. That is a big No No.
That ugly ass cake! The blame is 50/50.The couple didn't know what they wanted, so neither did the bakers. How do you expect someone to create your vision when you don't even know what your vision is? When you say things like, "the sillier the better", that's usually what you get.
The cake itself was poorly executed. It looked like a bunch of six year olds just slapped something together. It reminded me of a child's birthday party and not a wedding. It's pretty disappointing. Definitely not something I would pay for. Frankly I'm just glad it's not my cake.
***** I agree with you!
I agree also that cake looked like something my kids would put together with playdough.
I agree
Yeah! I love they choose the bakers with the mini cakes.
Seriously, they give the clue, 'the sillier the better...' and they are disappointed with this? They should've had a more put together picture of what they wanted instead of throwing out all of those different clues. I bet their son liked the cake though.
lol the reaction 😂
It would make a great birthday cake for their son
This couple didn't know what the heck they wanted so I don't even blame the bakers. That's what they get for not being specific
That's probably why they NEVER got married sooner-indecisive procrastination they both contradicted one another at every meeting and the hubby knew what direction the bakers were going to go and how it was going to turn out because he said those exact words before they even decided to call them to ask if they'd make their wedding cake. So they probably had a back up before they even called those young bakers.
This is a good example of what NOT to do. Anything goes is not a direction and will, generally, result in disappointment.
I think they just got attracted to the 'samples' and 'uncommon' design of presented cakes but you know, not all 'different' will be a good different. The final cake looks like a christmas and children's birthday in one cake. So messy.
If they didn't want their wedding filmed the film crew should have sent the couple packing, vthey knew what the format of the show was, spoilsports
These girls need hell lot of training , what a horrendous cake =(
A cake should look some what edible, that looked like playdough!
i understand the couple said wacky is good but the i dont think they knew the girls could make detailed editable animals...cuz if you see the show and compare this cake to the others it was horrible...felt like the girls were trainees who was given their first job of creating a cake...if you see all the other episodes you can see how detail orientate are cakes are made for the special occasions!
They seemed like a nice couple, but they weren't at all clear about what kind of cake they wanted. They told the first cake designer that the cake doesn't need to include animals and that flavour was the key, and they told the last cake designer that they wanted animals, glitter, and "silliness"
Obviously the end result was a really tacky, awful cake. But really, what can you expect when you go with the bakers who bring tiny cartoon animal cakes to the consultation?
That cake look like kids made it
The girls making the cake were to blame too. And it's sad they don't realize it, in spite of their own admission that it was ugly. Yes, it was probably the couple's fault in the main--as they wanted every contradictory thing under the sun. BUT, what made this a train wreck (and it was a horrifically ugly, drooping cake, not at all appropriate for a wedding), was the combination of the couple and the cake makers. These cake makers are unprofessional. They are unprofessional not as designers, not as bakers--but as liaisons with the client, i.e. as managers. They want to push the envelope, they want to have complete freedom to make things as wacky and wild as possible. BUT, they don't step back and think--"would I or my closest friends be happy with the wildest cake on my wedding day?". Instead of pushing clients to do wacky things, so that they have free artistic reign, they need to develop the maturity to understand that their job is to help their client get the cake that reflects them and which meets all of the various demands of the event, i.e., to ensure that as much as they are humanely able, they meet the needs of their client. They are not there to masturbate, and entertain themselves. And these girls were whining that generally, the clients ruin their fun by not letting them do as they please. The clients don't pay them to enjoy themselves with their money. These are important and often sacred events in these people's lives, and they have sacrificed in order to save huge amounts of money in order to make them special. These girls need to learn that a business is not where you express your artistic license. You do that at home, or sign up for a cake designing competition with your own funds. OR, if you must have a business where your needs go ahead of the clients, go ahead and start one--and see how long you float. If you're able to make a go of it, great--if not, you have your answer. Of course the confused couple glommed on to them. They seemed completely untethered to convention, discipline or rules--and that's exactly why the cake was a travesty...
When the second cake artist said “ terribly fun “ I almost went like 😳cause I thought she was gonna say terrible 😭😭
Bros im low key lit AF watching this and the fucking editing is murdering meeeeeee addhjhfssjk 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
They new the rules of the show and therefore as they didn't stick to them they should be made to pay for the cake. the cake bakers weren't at fault, how else were they supposed to interpret the brief quote "Wacky, psychedelic, glittery, animals, the more outrageous the better." Its exactly what they got.
I quite glad that the other 2 bakers didn’t have to share the disappointment. The two ladies just didn’t deliver. Yeah I mean they did try but not hard enough they even loved they cake for that weirding couple. One to note📝: Never ever make a cone cake!
I actually really liked the cake and thought the couple would too. The only problem was that they didn't know what they wanted. The bakers walked them through the cake design process and everyone seemed to agree. The cake did look more like a traditional celebration cake than a traditional UK wedding cake but some people like sculpted cakes for their weddings. Plus the couple wasn't looking for something traditional.
It would be an adorable birthday cake for a young child - based on the description the couple gave, the cake was perfect. How in the world are you going to tell a baker that you want your cake to be psychedelic & silly, but then say its too gaudy when you first see it?! Lunatics.
What an awful cake - never seen anything like it! What a shame for the couple. I can't imagine how disappointed they must have been. Considering how long they'd been together, they didn't get to enjoy their wedding cake... so sorry for them!
it takes two to tango in this case, the couple were undecided, and in cake decorating one head is better than two,the fondant icings are too thick and heavy for the coned cakes. but still the cake is sooooo ugly.
hahaha the commentator is awesome >.< :D
They could have done a better job !! Not mutch thought had gone into that cake very gaudy The first two cake bakers were the best to make the wedding cake The winning cake bakers went well over the top!! It looked like a child had made lit!!😯
all of them are nice
i think they knew they weren't going to like it
they are awesome!!!!!:-D:-D:-D
This couple was manipulative. They didn't know what they wanted and then took precautions of not allowing them to film them on the actual day so they could get something else for the 'big day'. Creepy people.
It's Neil from the Young Ones! Peace man....☮️
Tbh they didn't even know what cake flavor they kept asking every shop what do most people ask for so how can u expect greatness of u don't have it and it is totally50/50
She just seemed like a horrible bridezilla that had no idea what she wanted
Oh my.😨
2:38
Luke: "No coconut"
Sarah: "Absolutely no fruit cake....."
Luke" "No coconut"
That cracked me up! XD
OMG what an awful cake,i would have had a food fight with it,yuk
You know... choosing those girls after you see those fugly cupcakes, you deserve what you get. But nobody deserves that cake. That cake was a punishment.
Once the cone cake was finished, I also had the sinking feeling about it, so sad,
The couple’s wishes for the cake were quite confusing, but nonetheless, the cake was a horrible mess.
Huge mistake asking those two. it looked like a Halloween cake and really unprofessional looking.
i prefer the last one
I watched this several times and the bride is just silly
Very gaudy!
the couple ideas for a cake were confusing & kept clashing...the girls' cake looked like elephants shitted out animals & paint.
oh no !!!!!
DANM ADVERTS
"Not outside my cake-abilities"
So now they to good to be filmed news flash u becoming famous
the fondant cracks..
That cake looks weird for a wedding
Wow, that cake... Really bad..
It is sad that they have not done this in the format of the show on their wedding day. The bakers did what they wanted. Silly they got. TerribIe to say gawdy. I do think they got what they wanted. Cheers bakers wish they would have done mini one with animals on it.
It is too small for the wedding cake
que bolo medonho parece que foi feito por uma criança de 5 anos 😕
Spice cake?
Why so mean?
well I do agree the groom acted like he didn't want to be there the whole time and the bride didn't know AT ALL what she wanted, she went from Jimmy Hendrix,to saying well we don't care about having animals right after the groom said NO to animals, SO frustrating to watch.. Did they not talk at all what they wanted? Probablly not the groom doesn't talk
What i think is that it's the couples are at fault here. Those 2 gave out different idea's. The 2 bakers are not at fault but did wat they were asked for. I think the cake is marvelous. I'm not saying out of pity but with my honest opinion. But i wouldn't put that as a wedding cake but a birthday cake for kids.
D F 6 YR SF F T YR WE'D YA A YA G YR RY DA R
D F 6 YR SF F T YR WE'D YA A YA G YR RY DA R
I got this weird feeling they got scared what kind of cake they would get and then decided not to be filmed on the wedding day itself. I wouldn't be surprised if they ordered a last minute cake somewhere else for the big day. Quite an odd couple....
Bride said if it happened to be animals on it it’s ok but really not and maybe yes :))
Getting really tired of waiting thru 2 ads every single time .... everyone on UA-cam has gone to double ads... they put on three and that will be the end of UA-cam for me..
I feel guilty laughing at their cake. It's hideous.
WTF is that cake? I would've smash it on there faces! Lol
They didn't realize those cake bakers catered more to children parties than adults? It was very sloppy and half of it looked like a volcano overflowing.
I'm sorry, but even with those clues, that cake was just bad. Were they trying to sabotage the couple because they wouldn't film their wedding? I don't think the bakers took it seriously. At all.
Such a shocking cake...
The cake flopped big time! Maybe they had envisioned it flopping already thats why they asked to see the cake prior to the celebration.
What a P. O. S!!! I wouldn't have showed it either!
late to the wagon, but i aint shock if their wedding place looks like a mess as much as they seem to be as well
That bakery should be ashamed!!!! How could you ruin someone's big day and fucking laugh and giggle!?!?! If anyone can watch this and still go to them then they need there heads, eyes and ears testing!!! Although who chooses TWO classless slappers to make ANYTHING for there wedding!?!?! You did ask for trouble.....but if there's a kids birthday soon in the family then it might not be a complete waste.....and you'll be a hero to them, always look on the bright side and all that lol
I don't think there was wedding, no proposal, no filmed wedding nothing
they had been living together for years and at the last minute the couple said they didn't want their wedding filmed and wanted to see cake before wedding. I think they realised their lack of direction and perhaps thought more about the cake designers and suspected it was going to be a disaster.
i thk the show should pick their couples better. i feel lije 23 min of my life were wasted :/
this looks like a joke
Regrettable on both sides ☹️
It was ugly. To be fair to the bakers, the couple DESCRIBED an ugly cake to inexperienced bakers who did exactly what they asked for. When you say “silly psychedelic animal cake” that’s what you get!
