- I wanted to share with the world how passionate I am about cake decorating. This video wasn't meant to be a tutorial, but if people can gather some insight from this than that is great. This cake took over 300 hours to finish.This cake was made out of Styrofoam dummies (there was no cake, but decorations were all fondant, gumpaste, and edible materials) which is a common thing for cake competitions. These competitions are judged on the aesthetics of the cake and not on taste.
This was my third year competing at the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show, directed by Kerry Vincent.
2011- 6th Place and Gold
2012- Grand National Champion
2013- 9th Place and SIlver
Overall I am very happy and proud of how far i come. Cant wait to show you guys more.

I have seen many beautifully decorated cakes in my life, but this is just too incredible to describe!
One of the MOST amazing cakes I've ever seen!! Personally, you did not deserve 9th. Top 3 minimum.

My philosophy is as long as you've done your best, you're a winner no matter if you win or lose. And her best is good enough.

This is the kind of mind boggling artistry that was alive in the royal kitchens of Louis XIV! "The Sun King" made France famous for lavish, intricately designed fetes, fashions and foods. It's interesting to watch your hands Vivian, and the beautiful result. A lovely cake concept fit for a King.
exactly...her previous cake made me daydreamed about a french king presenting his court to a banquet and the guests were happy and amazed...she has royal hands !!!

Clearly I am not alone in saying that this cake TOTALLY was deserving of the 1st place, it looks like a Faberge egg!!! I couldn't eat it, I'd feel too guilty, lol! Absolutely GORGEOUS♡
Her cake is worth for the royal families. the design is magnificent as well as the details, i imagine how hard/crucial this cake to make. only if the judges show the before/after of how she did that, i guess no doubt. she will declare the winner of this competition. Anyway your cake will probably made you to the top, and of course your cake deserves to offer in a Royal family gatherings. goodluck/ continue your state of the art of doing such incredible cakes. amazing!

I dont know much about cakes (except for the fact that i know how to eat them, end of discussion) and how to decorate them etc. but I have to say that yours was definitely the BEST out of all the cakes that were shown at the end. Just my opinion. Definitely the best.

Art, Engineering, Sculpture, Painting, Design, and some SERIOUSLY MAD SKILLS. Jeeezuzz girl....you must get calls from Royalty and movie stars.
