- In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties the Grease Top Sow!
In the world of sowbugs there are simple, quick ties, and then there are SUPER simple, quick ties. This one only uses two materials if you count resin as one of them. Choose your favorite dubbing to make them work, but the new Ultra Nymph Dub from Fulling Mill has some great sowbug colors. Tie them with or without a bead for maximum fun!

Nano silk is just like you say Cheech. Strong and SLICK. I wax it with tying wax and it becomes more manageable. Nice job on this little beasty
Good stuff from a great guy! The new dubbing rocks by the way.
Awesome!
You guys make such awesome videos! I always learn so much! Thank you!
Pretty simple but looks like it would be very effective, thanks for the cool vid cheech.
Not a fan of the nano silk but I do like this scud!
Though at first glance this fly may look like shower-drain hair held together with a booger, I feel compelled to tie it as I know it will fish well.
great fly.. will tie some up...perhaps a lot 3- diff. colours.. as my fly fishing partner.,,, figured out that flys from the flys shop, cost mone.. rummaging though my fly boxes ..they are free
looks good weather you give it a trim or not . can you slip in some flash with a dubbin loop so when you wrap it, you
have traces of flash? thx bob
Yup. You could blend ice dub with this to achieve that
Yep, every fly I create! ;)
Sweet, how about the deer hair 🤔
My dear…
@@FlyFishFood dang it, no proof reading, I am such a loser thanks 😵💫
