honestly I never understood why people always blamed Corpse's GERD for his voice, if you listen to his early horror videos his voice is still hella deep even before it took a dive
cause people love to act like he's this poor helpless sick little baby and demonize anyone that finds his voice attractive cause they're "fetishizing his illness." people love infantilizing anyone they're fans of and it gets especially bad in cases of people that have any kind of illness or disability. it's fucking weird
I have acid reflux pretty badly and I don’t think it affected my voice’s pitch at all, definitely makes it sound a bit more scratchy but no deeper. That could change in the future though, since it only came on suddenly less than a year ago.
@keribere i never tried it to know it actually works, but apparently some people drink milk (or just something that contains milk, like cheese) after eating acidic things to prevent reflux? Maybe it could help. Idk
It also depends on when you get proper treatment. My husband wasn't diagnosed until his mid 20s and before was 30 he had to have GERD surgery because he developed it so young his throat was already massively damaged

I work in a place where you hear people and not see them and when you do see them 80% of the time they don't look how they sound so I wouldn't be surprised if corpse wouldn't do a face reveal any time soon lol (especially after dream)

@@knrnrk2255 the throwing up isn't the part that primarily damages the vocal chord, its the constant attacks of acid to your throat that can wear away at them. (Although I have no doubt throwing up frequently would ALSO cause damage) My acid reflux had never caused me to throw up, but my vocal chords are still visibly damaged and my voice sounds different than from before I had it

People would get mad at me, mainly my dad bc he couldn't understand I couldn't control it. I still make them. They're just a lot more quiet. It's always nice to know when someone else is dealing with the same thing. Makes ya feel less alone.
I was finally diagnosed with GERD in June and i was warned that my voice is going to get higher and higher until its gone. I have to limit to how often i speak a day because its painful as fuck to speak due to how badly damaged my throat is due to GERD being left unnoticed for 12 or more years. So i feel for Corpse and wish him the best, its not easy for sure.

Fasting doesnt work, tried it and it only made it worse but i appreciate the advice.

Why don't you try fasting. It always helps with these issues. I had a minor acid reflux problem and after a couple days of fasting i was all fine.
