This is because your voice sounds different when you’re speaking than when someone else is hearing it or when you’re hearing it on a recording-as when you’re speaking, you hear your voice in your head, where your bones and tissue enhance the lower-frequency vibrations and make it sound deeper and fuller than it actually is.

So, in an interview with the VA of Joker from Persona 5 (also the announcer in Smash Ultimate) he has gone on record ro say that his favorite line for Joker is "I should write something" becuase it's one of the only times his character has a full line of dialogue.

Red Magnus was even tougher than I thought. Dude was pretty bulky in-game but even his VA was a badass.
Credit where credit is due of course, he's a great actor.
That being said, when you scream as a character to the point of coughing up blood.. that's not healthy. A voice actors' entire arsenal is their voice, and a voice should never hurt to produce. It can permanently and irreparably damage you vocal cords.
Now I feel bad for selling my Disgaea 5 game.

I hope there’s workers compensation for this kinda stuff in voice acting. Even the voice of Mabel from Gravity Falls was in a situation where she almost died but was still doing the voice acting for an episode.

Have loved Kaiji since playing the U.S. English version of Fist of the North Star/ Ken's rage. His portrayal of Kenshiro is probably my favorite interpretation of that character's voice, to date. Thanks for interviewing these talented voice actors, Mr. Padilla.
