One of my favorite things about the legend of korra is that it shows that the laws of bending aren’t in service of good or evil. Just as Korra was gifted from birth, or Aang was able to energy bend with no experience, evil people are also given rare abilities that make them insanely powerful. Yakone is a perfect example of that.
I agree but I think it's a bit different with blood bending. I think many very strong water benders could be blood benders but to even know means you have to try. It is evil. It's violating. There might be plenty more potential blood benders but they wouldn't even try to do something so awful to a living being
@@croc2112not really. bad people can be born with special “abilities” like either being super smart or strong. it’s a just a more obvious example that just as people can use what they have for really good things, bad people can also get them too.

It's funny you say that you're happy it turned out Asami wasn't involved (13:58). The writers have actually said that they initially planned for Asami actually being involved and being some sort of spy for her father. But they ended up really liking her and changed their minds. Based on your, mine and many people's reaction to this episode and her character, they made the right call! Something quite random but hopefully a welcome compliment; I find your voice very nice to listen to. Could probably just listen even if you'd be saying random stuff. Great quality for somebody that does reactions and commentary I'd say :p! Some of your stuttering and the accompanying editing is also hilarious xD.
Amon taking away his bending is one of my favorite moments in all of avater. You are just left with more questions of how tf did he do that?! What is he?!
27:08 i thought blood bending was a relatively rare/unknown ability so it may not be illegal per se but its definitely a taboo or morally grey area 34:04 nevermind 😅
LETS FRICKING GO!!!!!! Dee Bradley Baker really knows how to play a villian so well, he is that talented. Glad you're getting right into the spicy things of it.
7:53 Wtf how have I never realized that before?! The only reference I ever thought of when it came to the mecha tanks was How It Should Have Ended’s Hunger Games video, “District 9 has found the mech suits!” I’m assuming in reference to a movie I haven’t seen called District 9.
@@CatherineLaSalleBecause your video skipped it on episode 3 when he and Bolin was trying to make money mako did lighting in a factory he was working it before the he went home asking is Bolin where are you
Hey Cat, I hope you are enjoying Korra. I have never seen this or Avatar the last Air Bender, but I hope you enjoy this. Take care young lady, I hope you and Tom are doing well, and I will see you on the next one.
Joshua!! Always makes my day to hear from you, my friend! Hope this new year is treating you well, and I cannot recommend this franchise ENOUGH! Truly amazing storytelling!
@@blondymonk1535Avatar fans love to make BS theories. Its crazy. Theres the Yue was supposed to be the next Avatar, there is Aang killed the wasp, they killed Katara mom because they was afraid of there being a BloodBending Water Bender. And lots more of fake theories
No lol 😂 Not every single thing from Korra has to be related to Avatar the last Airbender. I don't like it when people try to do this honestly.. they try to connect every single tiny thing to the previous show. "Ohh look at that grass, it must be the grass that Katara stepped on in the previous show 😱😱" etc etc 😂
Finally someone else who hates bloodbending! It makes me sick. I feel disgusted by it, both morally *and* physically. It makes me cringe when I see it. It just feels wrong in too many ways. That's why I don't understand most of the fandom thinking it's the coolest thing ever, and that even good characters (such as Katara) should use it more. I've even seen people say they'd only be a waterbender if they could bloodbend. It reminds me of those polls where most of the Star Wars fans say they want to be a Sith. I think the problem might be with humanity xD
Originally Asami was going to be the villain, not her father, but people liked her so much they decided it would make the story better if she was innocent and they made her father the bad guy.
My favorite theory about Amon was that he was created out that moment Aang "died" from the lightning strike and was brought back by Katarra. We know it doesn't work that way, but still interesting.

There's a fan theory out there that claims that yakone, the guy who Aang had to fight was the son of Hama.
No there's not xd. Why would anyone think that... There's no proof whatsoever...

To be fair it was mishandled if he killed him we wouldnt have this issue
Seems like the ending of Ep8 broke your brain a bit 😂
