*EDIT* this 2.4L engines had oil consumption issues from the factory, and many of them were recalled. The one in the video did not have such issue

My girlfriend has a car like this and it burns oil fast. But we dont have a oil leak no where. We have to put oil in it every 2-3 weeks. Brought it to the Toyota dealership and ask if they had a recall. They told us no.

Run some marvels mystery oil OR sea foam in the oil. Synthetic oil changes no more than 5k miles. And it'll help with that oil consumption problem.

      It's bad piston rings.

My 2012 fusion and 2013 kia forte traumatized me from the mechanical and computer issues. Same here my friend... Bought an 07 from an elderly lady that was the 2nd owner but owned the car since 9k miles.. I got it with 110 and now just hit 114k today... Lady was a life long cigarette smoker so that was one issue and the car looks like it was never cleaned on the inside so it was pretty bad.. but I can deal with that. I love it so far and would like a 2011 manual as this is the 1st automatic I've ever owned.. but hey not bad for a daily at all

Bro I always enjoy these reviews. Fwiw whoever makes jokes at your weight, lives a sad life because what else can they joke about. They come to watch your video and then post negative comments, but they came there in the first place. I’m overweight myself and I think it’s shallow and childish to make jokes of this nature. I've had a 2008 camry xle v6 for a year now. Bought it at 103,000km and now has 108k miles. All black, modern wheels (black and chrome to match with the chrome around the windows and front grill), and an all round black tint... It looks really good and holds up greatly for its age
The 3.5L V6 is incredibly fast, and gives you that confidence of going past almost any car on the road with a very responsive acceleration time. It drives and handles like a dream, and unlike the 2.4L VVTI, it doesn't burn oil
I've only had to go for an oil change once, and the next oil change should be after I put a little over 2k miles more on it. Not a single repair done since I bought my camry and I'm confident I won't be needing to go for any repairs anytime soon

After only owning this car for a good month and a half (which was originally owned by my sister (only had 150000 miles and seemed to run smoothly, it does burn oil fairly fast) That was the main issue, my father would tell me to refill and check every 2 weeks, which is what I did! After the month and a half period, the motor ends up developing a rod knock instantly and dies all in one day. All I can say is, from a design perspective, it's a beautiful car. But it requires high maintenance when it comes to oil, I consistently refilled it every 1 and a half to 2 weeks. Had to return to my 2002 Toyota Camry, holds up on oil for a long period, and has 250000 miles on it and runs great. My father is narcissistic and made it out to be my fault and bashed me. He's the type of person that when you bring up a concern he will be like "what did you do this time?" And that's why I'm going to mechanics school so I can beat him at his own game and 1up him. I'm just sick of the treatment he slaps in my face when I bring up a potential problem or issue. I own my first ever apartment with my fiance, make music, a certified nutritionist, and all that man can do is only is bash and only bring up the negative in the things I do. Only a few times in my life will that man ever tell me that he's proud of me lol.

A 2007 Camry XLE I bought back in 2022 with 25k original miles. Some call it boring but I’ve always loved the look of this car. It’s understated, yes, but also very classy-looking. The subtle styling cues are actually brilliant and the V6 - with nearly 270HP - make this car downright BADASS. It also has numerous features that surprised me - especially for a 15-year-old car: push button ignition, reclining rear seats, rear reading lights in the headliner & a retractable sunshade for the back window! And the best part? It’s NOT a black truck!

I got the 2020 crv and ended up letting my wife drive it… I m more than happy with this Camry … took it once to my mechanic to test the waters trying to sell… this is what he said … it’s just 100k miles it’s practically new lol

I have one of these at nearly 275k miles, and it's still going strong. We recently had to repair the AC, which hurt our wallets, but nothing too crazy. That said, I'm a somewhat vigorous driver, and I hate it. The steering and handling feel mushy to me. I much prefer to drive my '98 Accord V6 - not because of the extra 42 bhp (though that doesn't hurt), but because Honda's steering gives me more confidence in the corners. Also, the volume knob on the Camry's center console is all but meaningless. I use the buttons on the steering wheel exclusively because of the vast difference in precision. This car is perfect for me brother-in-law, who would give up driving if he could. If you want to get any enjoyment whatsoever from the driving experience, though, look somewhere. You can find a car that's very nearly as reliable but still rewards enthusiastic driving more than this one.

Picked out an '09 for my mom, was very pleasantly surprised how good it was. It's not a enthusiast car in any way and I can respect that. The ride is velvety, boomers don't know what they're talking about when they say "new cars ride like go-karts." It goes over railroad tracks like they don't exist.

My 2007 Camry was a real oil burner. Toyota said it wasn't bad enough (which it was) and refused to fix it. Had to install a used engine from Japan. Other problem is the dashboard that is sticky & gross. Apparently Toyota would fix for 10 years but never told anyone. Outrageous. I'll end up using a dash cover. I'm the original owner. 231K miles now. Just had to do $2K suspension work on the front end.

I really wanted one of these as a daily but learned about the oil burning issue and can’t get myself to consider one now. It’s a shame. The accords of the same year have problems of their own and suck on gas, fusions and Malibu’s had bad engines or transmissions, there’s just not a great well rounded sedan from this era without an achilles heal. Shooting for a Mazda 3 hatch now, but can’t find any in the spec I want (sunroof, tan leather heated seats, 2.0 instead of 2.5) looking for a used modern daily on the cheap is tougher than it should be now adays

My biggest complaint with this generation of Camry was the styling. It was just too blobby. While previous generations were plain, they were lean-looking and kind of sleek. Future generations arguably went too sporty and overstyled. But this was just heavy looking and had no sharp lines. They even copied the maligned BMW Bangle butt for the trunk...
