    Your purpose is legit. One comment about "influence"...pure communication, a willingness to communicate, effective / thoughtful communication...with a fundamental attitude that we're all in this together-especially at the workplace is lacking in so many companies. Co-workers leaving each other hanging for hours on end, for what reason? So, your premise that after technical competency-what's left, is currently felt everyday by so many (IT) workers. The bottleneck is THEIR OWN PEERS. No community commitment to each other's progress/success. Thus, no careers aren't capped by an inability to communicate-b/c in some organizations the majority of people can't, don't want to, or merely do on their own terms...anyhow, apologies, you struck a cord. Great purpose, I can think of several companies I wish would retain you. Cheers
