Halloween 1986 was amazing. I had two pillow cases of candy that year haha.
I've lived in Philly all my life...So glad you uploaded this!! So many 'member berries. I was 12 when this aired. The bumpers and announcer really brought back memories. Thank you!!!
“...some scenes that my be inappropriate for ALL audiences...”?! Hahahaha
I vividly remember those specific Happy Meal LEGO toys. I lived on the Gulf Coast back then and every time my Grandparents came to see us on weekends, we would always go get a Happy Meal for my sister and I. I also remember winning a costume contest that Halloween.
This is why your work on these videos is so important. I appreciate you making these. It’s been 10 years since I first found your channel. Thank you.
I worked in banking for 8 years and never felt thrilled about it enough to reenact The Sound of Music, LOL.
I miss living back in New Jersey, WTAF TV29 in Philadelphia had ALL the best cartoons on when I was 3 years old!!!!!
@@jrebecca0195 North Jersey, Sussex at the time!
Minute Maid Commercial- That's one very strong pony to carry all three of those girls at once.
Burlington Coat Factory Commercial- If they didn't indicate otherwise, I would have thought this was a commercial for a special severe weather report on the news.
"Enhanced" is doing a lot of work in that introduction.
That Meridian Bank ad sounded like something composed by Frank Gari (Stand up and tell them you're from Detroit, Turn to News, etc....)
It's also been a LONG time since I saw the Brylcreem and Kurtis Blow Sprite ads! Bravo volume!
The good good GREAT ole days!
Regarding the WTAF Oilers vs. Dolphins promos, that game apparently was supposed to air on KYW (the then-NBC affiliate in Philly); but KYW didn't want the early game to go up against the Eagles-Cardinals game on then-CBS O&O WCAU. (From research on a primarily sports broadcasting history themed site I'm part of, KYW had done this on a handful of occasions)
Worth noting is that KYW, much like its Westinghouse-owned sister stations, were notorious for preempting network broadcasting for mostly Group W-produced series even though NBC was the least tolerant of the networks when it came to preemptions (and KYW was in the midst of a nearly quarter-century period where they were a ratings also-ran)
0:10 must be where the South Park disclaimer came from.
11:47
Did she really have a raw chicken just sitting on top of produce in a paper bag? WTF!
Thanks for the upload!
NOLTD-colorizing this was sacrilege
Minute Maid-John-Boy's favorite OJ
Meridian Bank-The Musical! Coming soon to Broadway
Sprite-nowadays both 7up and Sprite taste the same
Quiet Cool-remember the tagline"It can get you rich, get you high..or get you dead."
Love me some Lee press on nails
@@jrebecca0195 me neither. I used super glue
0:45 - "Enhanced by Colorization!"...I'm sorry, but no classic movie has ever been "enhanced" by Colorization. That's one 80s fad I'm glad went away.
Especially NOTLD. The atmosphere it has completely goes away when you colorize it.
Unfortunately a lot of awful revisionist things have been done to that movie due to it's public domain status.
@@80sCommercialVault Thankfully the Museum of Modern Art, The Criterion Collection and The George Lucas(!) Foundation funded a beautiful new 4k restoration of it overseen by George Romero shortly before he passed away.
Trust me, a colorized Citizen Kane aired on TV here once.
Halloween commercials!! 🎃
