My kids think it’s weird that I watch commercials from the 80s. Glad to see I’m not alone.
I wonder who won the 1k a month for life? Love all these commercials .... makes me feel good just to play them in the background while I'm working. Great memories
They're so much more relaxing than modern commercials. Probably because they aren't painfully loud.
Halloween 1985 - I was 8 years old, and I had a homemade Ghostbuster costume that year that I was really proud of. Unfortunately, it rained that night while I was trick or treating, and part of the costume got ruined in the rain, so I had to end it early. I was pretty upset, so I remember my brothers gave me part of their candy haul that year to make up for it.
you got hosed
The ironic thing is that today (Halloween 2020) is a totally gorgeous day and a Saturday, and most kids probably won’t get to enjoy it :(. 🎃
Most kids where I live go to the mall and get candy..... I'm like what happened going door to door??

From the commercials to the end credits, this is a nice picture of life in 1985. Can we go back?
If we only could...
@@jenniferhansen3622 Right?
I loved Amazing Stories when I was a kid. I remember some episodes could be really scary, but there were also a lot of funny episodes, as well. It was the first show I encountered that was truly different for each episode, which I remember really liking.
Always love seeing video from my local stations! Jack Williams is a local legend!
This is amazing because even thought I was born in the late 80’s and came up in the 90’s you forget that at one time sitcoms used to go off with closing credits and have station ID’s it’s sad that TV sitcoms are so awful now, but what’s worst is there are no themes to shows really anymore.
That episode of Amazing Stories was the best one of the series. About an airman in a B-17 who gets trapped in the belly turret and then the planes wheels get shot off. Kevin Costner and Keifer Sutherland were both in it.
"The Mission" it was called..that shouldve been a full-length film
Halloween, 1985. I was 8 years old, in 3rd grade. Lived in Quincy, just south of Boston. Was a pretty good haul of candy that night if I recall correctly.
One my states local channels !! Its so cool to see what the world was like before I was born in 87 !! Thank you 80's CV for bringing us back in time !
15:20 Peewee Herman AND Elvira? Along with David Lee Roth and Phyllis Diller? All on the same show? What a banger of a lineup!
The most 80s lineup ever and I’m here for it
I want to see that show!
I concur 🤣🌺
nice to see Ray Parker in the Diet Coke ad!
Back when we would watch a movie like "48 Hours" on broadcast TV, even knowing it would be heavily edited.
A Thursday night on NBC was the most prime time of network prime time then.
Congrats on the next one being good ole 800
More 90’s stuff tomorrow...800 on Halloween 🎃
Burger King- It seems like back then, whenever there was a show, commercial, etc. that involves the rich or getting rich, they use the same voiceover person.
Product 19- Impressive stop motion animation of the Cereal box changing into a pill and then back into a cereal box again.
Kleenex- 🎶 Kleenex Says Bless You🎶 A nice, sentimental jingle for something as simple as tissues, I think.
The voiceover in the Burger King ad was Robin Leach, then host of the popular syndicated series "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous".
19:41- I might be hungry, but those scrambled eggs and hash brown things looked amazing.
Love it!! I live outside of Boston and grew up with these
That's my Pontiac Sunbird!
41. Charles Nelson Reilly in the Purina Kibbles and Chunks spot.
CNR!
THIS IS BOSTON!!!!
48 HRS-Interesting that this was kind of a "The Warriors" mini-reunion of sorts(James Remar,David Patrick Kelly and Sonny Landham),seeing as it was directed by Walter Hill
WBZ News bumper-that wild Halloween celebration probably resulted in a lot of arrests
Amazing Stories-the ending to that episode was genius
Knight Rider-"Super Pursuit Mode" shouldve enabled KITT to fly
This Child Is Mine-Lindsay Wagner and a newborn-might this be a Death Stranding prequel?
Ah the Reagan years
800 is coming...!
"Wendy's Breakfast" is back!
Well, I don't think this was *quite* the epsiode that got Michael J Fox married, but it's pretty close. (He and wife Tracy Pollan are still married, BTW...)
Product 19 doesn't sound like it's made from the recently deceased mixed with actual dirt at all.
I always loved this Kleenex ad 3:07
Kodak TeleDisc voiceover by Marv Albert
Why did Pillsbury think getting rid of Hungry Jack biscuits was a good idea? The flaky Grands pale in comparison!
Hah, that Cheers episode ("Diane's Nightmare") has Bart and his nemesis Sidesow Bob. :D
6:50- I can’t tell if Snuggle is creepy or cute. I think it’s both.
My mom totally loved the Snuggle teddy bear and started buying it because of these commercials
Either way the puppeteering was legit
I want a 1986 toyota.. it's so sleek and new...😎
And only 6k.....geez
@@barnoldo2877 I mean that a steal... I hope it has a new thing out called a CD player... they said CDs are like all the rage... and I hope it's has room for my car phone too...cuz usually I have to stop driving when my beeper goes off and find a payphone...😎
24:08 "Mad Dog" Maurice Vachon
