As promised here's the footage of the polishing filter which is an essential piece of groundwork in preparation for the septic tank installation in the new year. Septic tanks can be a planning nightmare as the rules are very strict. It's a necessary high-ticket item in any rural self-build or renovation as many of the older properties being brought back into use are not fit for purpose with regards to contemporary environmental health standards.

Tbh I knew very little about it beforehand, but you’re right, it’s a scaled down version of a sewage plant. 😊

Really interesting video. Nice filtration system, looks like a lot of work involved in its installation. But I'm sure it's worth it to ensure clean water is going back into the ground from septic system. Well done to you 👏

Hello Tracy. Yes we certainly will be continuing.. in fact plans are afoot right now. Only today we’ve been gathering in quotes for the foundations and underfloor heating/damp proof course. We’re still in Cornwall UK and stopped making videos because we want to keep the channel about Ireland… and also we’ve been busy with work etc which is a distraction lol. There should be more coming soon possibly March time, but thanks so much for asking and caring about us. We appreciate it. 😊❤️

What has happened to the house ?
It’s still there - we are in the UK over winter as the house is not yet habitable and we’re not living off-grid in a two-birth caravan during the storms. Work will begin in earnest come the spring March/April. 😊
