Ooh, i am glad he still has his 2 legs! I love your humor. A job in progress. I am happy the property lines are as originally scoped.. Noel and his container❤❤❤❤. Happy Thursday! Sorry about the car😮
In Ireland if your boundary hasn't been challenged it's yours, it put an end to years of infighting about every feckin inch of ground ,now it goes more about the established boundaries
I believe that’s the case Gary and looking into it there seems to be a seven year rule, ie if a boundary isn’t contested after 7 years ownership is assumed. 😊
A rugby ball and a hand pump can help fix the dent. You have to take off the inside panel and place the deflated ball in the door cavity. Then inflate slowly
Whew good news after all about boundary 😊! Holy cow Noel, wait till you’re at the tree to start your saw. Actually I’ll go full fussy and suggest having someone else there when you’re felling trees or chainsawing or walking in quicksand anyway. 😮
It seems to me that no matter what it concerns, there is always a snag but there's a solution to everything so really pleased the boundary issue hasn't turned into a massive headache and Noel has his limbs intact😂😂😂.
Maybe you could create a structure for climbing plants over that metal container. It will look a bit ugly once your house is completed. Glad the boundary thing is sorted.x
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland The terrain there is bumpy lumpy full of holes and slippery mud, so lots of challenges without saw in hand. Saws can so quickly change your life forever. Where I lived in the country I knew no fewer than 3 people who had lost a finger or more to a skill-saw, and those had safety guards too. I AM being a bit pushy because I don’t see the comedy in even the possibility of that type of injury. Now if he’d been carrying a bucket of water…☺️
The first year after I moved to Listowel I was dependant on GPS to find my way around. Set the 'voice' to Irish accent but it still pronounces it 'lee-towel'???? Sooooo many lovely people and activities here!
I honestly don’t know much about Listowel as it’s not our nearest town, but I’m hearing only good things and am keen to learn more. I didn’t know you could set the voice to Irish accent! 🤣🙌☘️
Omg Noel was almost legless 😂 seriously that was a close shave. I love all your vlogs and have watched since you first started. Although l still live in N Idaho, l just bought a house in Listowel and hope to move over by Christmas. Hopefully it would be ok to say Hi if l ever see you in town or shopping in Aldi :)
That would have been a good title … ‘Noel gets legless…nearly’. Wow - you’ll be moving before us. We can definitely rendezvous at a nice bar or tearoom in Listowel once you know all the best places to go. Failing that…. Lidl car park. 🤣
OMG the fall with the saw! Aren't you glad you saw that after it happened knowing that he was alright?! I'm SO happy that your boundary issue was resolved! Just imagine if you had just taken the word of the GPS! We had an issue like that with our front outbuilding that had to be resolved with the original folio. I think a neighboring land owner was disappointed. 😅 I know what you mean about the shipping container and men. Declan would be as happy as Noel to have a treasure like that!
I thought it was a somewhat uneventful video this but your response reads like high drama Janet! 🤣 Noel is just about to board the ferry back to the UK now so Roy will be happy to see him in the morning (he should arrive about 5am!) 🙌😊❤️
I love cabins, huts and woman sheds… I could even fancy a shipping container too! My German guest sometimes used to wonder about this town‘s funny name: Liz uses a towel, why, who was Liz and why did her towel become so famous? I might have answered: „Listowel (/ˈlɪstoʊl/ LISS-tohl; Irish: Lios Tuathail, meaning 'Tuathal's ringfort', IPA:[ˈlʲɪsˠˈt̪ˠuəhəlʲ]) is a heritage market town in County Kerry, Ireland. A town famous for its authors and storytellers - it is no surprise that this town has its own week long writer's week, ListowelWriters Week that takes place at the end of May each year. The festival is Ireland's oldest literary and arts festival.“ So, there are many, many places referring to a LIS, a ringfort in ancient times. Quite often those are beautiful places.
I’m so intrigued to learn this Eliane. I’m looking forward to having more time to wander around those old old bookstores and interesting shops. We were in Listowel when we heard that our offer had been accepted and we celebrated with a drink and pizza in one of the hotels on the market square. I’d like to attend some of the events of the writer’s week in May.
That worked out well. Good luck with the journey, will you be moving into the house for winter? Reminds me of Heather's new life in ireland too, @irishcottagerenovation9900
Well be staying in Cornwall forvthe winter as the house is far from habitable. Work begins in Spring - move in date summer 2025. We do enjoh Heather's videos and find her inspiring.

Ah thanks Carolyn that’s so kind. Happy Thursday to you too. ❤️🙌👍

Hah - he did tell me it has a safety guard lock that you have to release before starting the saw. But it’s a good comedy moment! 🤣

Happy moment to learn the boundary of property is where you originally thought. One less issue to deal with. Forge on!
These little setbacks keep coming but thankfully all surmountable so far. 😃🙌👍
Maybe Noel can find a used door same model of his car at a scrap yard for cheap to replace the damaged one.
It’s an unusual colour to match so I think he’ll leave it be. Tbh it doesn’t seem to be leaking anymore which is good. 😊

The autumn leaves are looking gorgeous. Blimey , go easy with that chainsaw Noel ! Maybe activate it at the site , phew you are one lucky Irishman
He got a good telling off!
Noel needs safety chapswhen using a chainsaw!
He does.

Take the inside door panel off and you can lightly massage it out from inside the door. It won't be perfect but you'll get most of it out.👍
Thanks. He might just give it a try. 😊
Awww wonderful news on the boundary being fine what a relief for you both look forward to next time the oldies tc🌺🤗👍
It’s an emotional rollercoaster Ann! 🤣
Thank you for the video. Progress will seem slow but before you know it you’ll be living in Ireland.
Oh i cantvwait! 😀👏🙏❤️

i lock my container with locks on the lift bar for the door handle , works fine
Hi can you not pull the door out from inside the car,
Only if we were to take the inner panel off which Noel’s not keen to do. It’s not really a problem as the door doesn’t leak any more.
Try deflated football or rugby inside the door and inflate.....might work
Yes, someone else suggested that too. Thanks 😊 🙌
Most dangerous toy for a man is a chainsaw, they will cut every tree there is to cut 😥😥😥
