So how do you properly use the anti lag?

its called brake boosting not really anti lag... Ill tell you how to do it tho. Firstly if you're doing a 40 roll be in 2nd gear (I have a dct, I don't know if this works for the 6 speed). Once you're at 40 what you have to do is slam your foot down on the throttle and hit the brake at the same time but not all the way just enough to hold your car at the same speed while you're still on the throttle wait like 1-2 seconds and you'll see that your psi gauge reads 16-17 maybe 18 and then let go of the brake. I've done this to get the jump on cars that are faster than mine and on cars slower than mine its a nice way to start the race! Hope this helps!

Yup, not antilag. Thats just little pops. Show your boost gauge while not on the throttle. Bet it doesnt have positive manifold pressure or even neutral pressure which is waht antilag actually is.

In N mode it actually will hold 1-3 psi when you let off. It’s not much but from what I’ve noticed on my EN it actually does hold positive manifold pressure considering the pops are happening bc un-burnt fuel is being sent to the exhaust to keep the turbo spooled dumbass 🤣🥱

Definitely not anti lag. Coming from a N driver who loves his N

@@NBABY-J read the end of the sentence. If our cars had anti lag we would be able to improve the 0 to whatever time. So while it might have some benefit as Biermann explains it’s not really an anti lag system. Off the throttle in n mode round a long corner you will not get the pops and bangs.

@@NBABY-J It's definitely not 2-step, get out of here. It might have some minute anti-lag capabilities but you would need a LOT more force occurring to actually drive the turbo. You can actually watch your very video, where when you release the throttle your boost-gauge goes from 18psi to 6 psi to 0 psi a real anti-lag system would show > 0 psi when you are off throttle at such an RPM and a lot of that is simply because your vehicle is undergoing a gear change (which blips the throttle, hence the 6 psi) and then effectively idling.
It has some of the guts of an actual anti-lag system but it's simply not dumping enough fuel to actually be effective and it's not firing the ignition sequence on the exhaust stroke for enough strokes.
The actual reason boost builds up so nicely is a combination of factors; one the intake manifold has active valves that open/close for each intake runner to maximize air-flow into the motor (they close up a bit at lower RPM and open fully at WOT), two you have a twin-scroll turbo, three it's a small turbo, and four you have a recirculating charged system (well as long as you don't be an idiot and put in a non-recirculating BOV).
It's a good like 32k car though, it's a shame the Elantra is so ugly else I would consider perhaps re-investing into the platform from my VN but I'll likely just flip on over to the Golf R once they realize what a mistake the capacitive infotainment was.
