hi. I already visited Dubai during 2017, I think your video is good with a lot of good tips. Someone would say 'it's only about common sense' but I personaly belive there are a lack of common sense these days, expecially when people became 'tourist mode' :-) . Nice video, now I watch part 2

    Summary of the video:
You can drink but you can't drink.
You can take photos but you can't take photos.
You can fly drones but you can't fly drones.
    One does not simply swear.

What happens if you go to the public mall or that ski place or the park and you want to take a photo or video of the surrounding and everywhere there is a lot of people, what do you then? You can't literally go up to everyone and ask for permission. So what do you suggest in this case? Thank you

      1. Of course it won’t happen to me, i lives thousands of miles away.
      2. People say one thing and then change their minds all the time. People also lie all the time. Sometimes, the people who lie most, are the ones who declare the loudest that lying is bad.
      3. If an individual UAE citizen had a private, short conversation with a tourist, and the citizen said “yes, you may take my picture” so the tourist did.. and then the citizen saw the picture online and didn’t like it, or maybe they just felt like being cruel, and then went to the police and said “this person took my picture without my consent,” I guarantee you the law would side with the citizen. Want to know why? Because the tourist would be unable to prove what was said, so NOBODY would know the citizen was lying

If you want examples that people in all countries - including the UAE - will lie, change their minds, and be cruel, then research the multiple women who have been jailed in the UAE for reporting r.a.pe. One woman was drugged and ra.p.ed by her three male coworkers; when she reported it to the UAE police, SHE was prosecuted for having extramarital relations. The men claimed it was consensual, and they were automatically believed.

(In Dubai) If go out in the street whith a T- shirt having a Charles Darwin picture on it, and also written (with arab letters) like "read the works of Darwin , Jerry Coyne and Dawkins- for proof that humans evolved from apes... etc " will I get arrested? This is like I don't respect their religion. And also what if enter a Mosque (muslim church) with the T-shirt mentioned before?

Lucas Avolio Tattoos are fine. I have tattoos . Many of my friends have tattoos. However there are no legal tattoo parlours although there are many artists who do it at their homes.

Hello Jerry, thanks for your comments! Majority of people do take photos especially in public areas / where tourist visit. As long as no one else is in the photo it's not a problem (but even with someone in the photo you would get away with it). If your staying in a hotel, you shouldn't have any issues. Its tricky to understand because this video tries to explain the laws but when your here, you feel that everyone does what they want. As long as you keep any personal affectiom private & discreet, no one will say anything. Hope that helps!

What would you consider 'cross dressing'? If a girl wore jeans, would she go to prison?

I still can’t figure out why anyone would live/work here. Sounds terrible. Taxes? What is it.
