Yes it's tempting but Dubaï has the same politics as Qatar and they treat people the same way. So personally, I count the 6,500 migrant workers -- many of them working on World Cup projects -- died in Qatar since it won the right to stage the World Cup as crimes. The crime statistics are bullshit and juste blowing smoke. it's tempting of course, I would like to see this city but I think you live the experience of the rich people and I cannot close my eyes to the suffering and the human losses that it has cost to build this "paradize"of a few people while it is the hell for humanity.
I have never seen this, I’ve spoken to waiters , gardeners, taxi drivers. No one has mentioned such suffering . Not saying it does not exist but I don’t see any evidence that blue collar jobs in Dubai are worse than say a city like New York or London
It's only "progressive" if you're heterosexual. LGBTQ people risk deportation, imprisonment and even the death penalty in Dubai. You don't have to understand or agree with it, but LGBTQ people deserve to live their lives in peace. And don't get me started on how poorly they treat foreign service and construction workers. So, while I love the idea of creativity and people supporting your success, no thanks Dubai! My question is, what other places with better human rights, are like Dubai?
It's not illegal. And it will become increasingly accepted over time. Ive had open discussions on this in Dubai and everyone is very open-minded about it. Saying that all the other qualities of Dubai should be negated because of this is like saying anything good about the USA should be negated by its lack of full abortion rights.
I just love you, look forward to connecting and let me know how I can be of service to you? Thank you so much for showing up, showing out, sharing and stay blessed! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
This was SOOOO beautifully put together. Dubai has had my heart forever. I'm going to check it out within the next 2 years. You should hold A-fest in Dubai 🥰
I would not move to Dubai or UAE if you paid me. Have no idea how awake humans can like this place. Few things in this town appeal to me. The whole environment and vibe feels fake and ungrounded.
As a Malaysian, I agree with vishen. We been taught about the squirrel stuff in public school. “Sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga.”
Ja, I recognized you there at Atlantis going to Nobu. I was with my family also first time in Dubai. My sister and her husband want to move there as well. I would love to retire there as well.
Let's talk about their abhorrent treatment of Indian nationals, Filipinos etc. Take off those rose tinted lenses for a more objective point of view, Vishen!
I get what you are saying but Dubai also has the exploitation culture. They enslave immigrant from poor Asian countries and to me it matters more than the eventuality to do business
The country is subject to the laws of Sharia! Kissing and embracing out in the open is strictly forbidden. Between the sexes should not shake hands. Do we need to mention anything else about labor slavery or homosexuality in Dubai?! Even though the country has allowed unmarried couples to live together without punishment since 2020 for economic reasons, it is far from a reason to sing its praises here. Mindvalley, to my recollection, is a company with a mission to bring love and freedom to the world through spiritual knowledge. So far, I have been very very grateful for this service to humanity....
This is not true. Couples can kiss freely in Dubai. Ive seen people speak about gay rights there and receive a standing ovation. Almost everything you;re saying is a rumor based on a bias towards the middle east. None of it is true.
Dear @@vishen.lakhiani , I don't know why we should take individual perceptions as evidence of the country's norms. However, if we take a look at the UAE's legal consultants page, we read the following legal situation: "The criminal law of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is mostly structured after the Sharia law, which is the moral code and religious law of Islam {...} The penalties for a crime in Dubai range from flogging to jail time. It further states, "homosexuality, and public display of affection are among the sexual crimes in Dubai.“ The legal basis is the only basis according to which the individual aligns his behavior and thereby believes himself to be safe. The German Foreign Office also points out various restrictions in this regard. To simply dismiss this as a rumor is very strange to me as a woman who comes from Kurdistan.
@Vishen Lakhiani rubbish, it is against basic rules of Islamic etiquette to kiss and show too much pda with the opposite sex in public and it is a criminal offence, punishable by law

@Vishen Lakhiani pls don't spread false information that it is ok for the couples to kiss in public, it is very offensive for us, our police are busy enough.
Dubai is a great place to build ur business on literally with slave employees. Search around for humans stories who experiences. Of course, this doesnt matter for everyone and i get it. Though i stilk personally still think human rights do matter.
This 'report' is the equivalent of a stockbroker offering you a 100% risk-free trading investment - it doesn't exist. Anyone with this much influence should have a moral obligation to publish a measured and balanced critique of Dubai or any other city under review. I don't Dubai has a lot to offer. But if this isn't a paid advertorial without the disclaimer, then God knows what is. I have cancelled my Mindvalley subscription over this.
@@vishen.lakhiani Understand. There just appears to be such an agenda behind this video owing to the overwhelming bias toward a city that is far from having a saintly reputation underlined by the huge effort to feature video quotes from powerful influencers. I just can't reconcile your supposed belief in authenticity and integrity with the nature of this video. Too many questions.
Dubai is awesome. But if millions of homeless people started crossing dubais borders you better believe they would be against illegal immigration. They're happily accepting everyone across their borders because they're tax paying entrepreneurs.
What about Gay rights in Dubai? It’s one of the most oppresive countries in the world for gay people. It’s a shame you don’t mention this, as if gay people didn’t exist.
Nas is Palestinian not Israeli, he’s considered a joke and sell out to millions of people that support the Palestinian cause or anyone that has an ounce of morals. This entire video is manipulative. And I lived in Dubai for many years
Tblisi is another great one. Beautiful city, the prettiest women in Europe in my opinion, amazing food and great wine. 365 day stamp in your passport no questions asked any time. Very businesses friendly environment as well, which you would not expect. However it is still the middle ages for renters over there. I was forcibly removed from my apartment by the police because I didn't feel like letting the land "lord" become a permanent guest 'round the clock. Open to the West, huh? Can't blame Saakashvili for trying though.

There is a dark side to Dubai...
Of course Vishen would feel at home in Dubai, as it has the largest population of Indians outside of India 🙄

Was going to say the same. Dubai looks beautiful but it’s incredibly odd to describe it as progressive given that homosexuality is illegal there.
If you want to live in Dubai make sure it is a place for you

Let me guess Vishen; you got a new investor or business deal for Mindvalley from Dubai - and now you have to promote the place?
wow wow wow!!

Really? I don't remember being taught it but I do remember that kata pepatah.

It's the same for LGBTQ people. Dubai's human rights record is not good.
Coming soon...love dubai
Max daily is Palestinian, however he betrayed his own people. Enjoy your cake Naz, be careful not to choke on it.
We as a family are planning to move there as well. But it's better to have somewhere to go back to, before going there in my opinion.
So true! Glad that you made video on this. Dubai is awesome
Because it’s trendy and everyone is talking about it, soon Dubai will be old news and it will be another city or country that is popular.
DUBAI IS A KEY FINANCIAL & TRADING HUB & IT'S ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING CITY IN THE WORLD.❤
👍
Tax free, so they don't expect their population to give away 20-60% of their time and money away in taxes like slaves.
